BlackBerry Smartphones can depend on phone... cannot turn off phone. Is this a battery problem?

Hi, I was happily using my Blackberry 8310 for the last year and 5 months without problem. In a week or two after I installed the new version of the OS 4.5 there I began to encounter a problem with my phone. He started just shutting down on its own and I was not able to turn it back on without removing the battery. At first, I thought it was the battery... It shows a full battery on the screen but sometimes if I use the web browser the battery life drops lby 25%. I took the battery out and placed in a friend's phone, and his phone has taken forever to initialize. After about 5 minutes his phone in less than a minute his phone is off too. The strange thing is that my battery always shows that it is fully charged. He never done until the Red level until the phone turns off. I also can not turn off the phone once I do started again. So, I went to AT & T, and immediately they told me that I had to buy a new phone... what happened to offer technical support? Anyway, I'm not able to buy a new phone after shelling out $ 250 for this phone and although I wanted to get insurance at the moment where I bought the phone that told me that Blackberry offered insurance more. It's funny enough now, they are. If it's a battery problem I can buy a new battery if anyone has experienced this kind of problem?

I guess, at first thought, that the battery meter in the BlackBerry is off sync to the battery.

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

See section on charge it fully and to exhaust the battery 3 x now.

If that does not erase a part, I suggest a new battery. The batteries can go wrong with the wire of time, although 5 to 6 months should not be a problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Bold only charges when turned off

    Hi all

I have a BB "BOLD" for a few weeks now.  When I plug it into the charger, it does not seem to load when the device is on.  The loading symbol appears in the upper left corner, but if I unplug the device after a period of time, the battery status symbol doesn't seem like the unit is charged.  In addition, the light yellow of load not flach when plugged in when turned on.

When I switch off the unit and plug it in, I get the charging flashing yellow light and accusations of pretty good device.

I also tried it with the device is plugged into the USB port on my laptop (I have DeskTop Manager 4.7), and it does not seem to load there either, although I have not tried to load from the PC the unit is turned off.

It is a real problem, as very often, I want to load the device then turned, while I do miss phone calls and emails.

    Thank you.

    Adam

The battery on the top icon left not enough resolution to be used for something other than a general indication of charge level.

Go to Options, State to see the level of charge of the battery percentage.

When I have my camera on during loading, I do not see the battery flashing yellow light. In fact, I didn't "BOLD" had one of these!

In any case, see if the percentage level changes during loading with the appliance on.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones ATT 8820-how do I turn off WIFI

I have a 8820 att. I used to have a curve but need something bigger. I always liked to be able to access the internet with my curve now that I have a 8820 can't understand how use the internet map data when I'm not in a wifi area.

Is there anyway to turn off the WIFI and just use the data browser?

(I know how to cut the WIFI but I can't do meet the internet data when turned off)

Well, it should be automatically - in the SERVICE of the BIS.

Look at the Options > mobile networks. Do you think that the Mobile network = your carrier?

and in Data Services, make sure that it is on.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access phone

I'm quite new and joined the center of Blackberry tips. Even though I hope that I can make contributions in the future, I hope I get acquinted to the community SYSTEM of cooperatives.

I have a password. When I press on unlock "accept and open." He now has a message ' enter 'blackberry' continue '. With this message, my phone has been redundant for the last four days. I tried the password nothing helps! I took the battery and the message sim card wouldn't go far. Its a Curve 8530. With the missed calls and messages in accessible, I'd be grateful for any help to solve the issue please. Thank you a lot.

Yes, as I said, you are not pressing the ALT key, you do not really enter the numbers, but the corresponding letters.

In any case, you must enter the password exactly as before. Try to connect to your BlackBerry Desktop Software and enter the password with the corresponding letters, NOT numbers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can launch two phones BB on a computer?

In our office, we have an interesting set upward to get the email from two sources, Hotmail and Outlook, bosses BB unit. Sent directly to the email from his BB works great for work of Hotmail and the redirector for its prospects. Here is the shot, he just bought a storm and now his former BB and the new storm to get exactly the same mails, so it can compare the two to decide who he likes better.

Hotmail allows you to transmit a redirector and unique e-mail address seems not to transfer to a device PIN. I don't think it's possible to transmit to two phones from the same computer, but I could be wrong. Everyone thinks they have a solution?

Also, DM will not sync with more than one phone t - it?

Sorry, you misunderstood me. I have said nothing on the redirector. It will not.

For Hotmail, one - do not leave 'forward' for the BlackBerry, instead the Live Hotmail set to receive push email, as it is designed. As it is now, you actually transfer your email from Hotmail to another address? As a blackberry.net address? Use the normal push configuration routine with your BIS account.

And, once again, on the Redirecto, no go.

I CAN send pictures by e-mail, even when they do not appear on the screen...
    Screen works fine otherwise.

Thank you. Has worked like a charm... and probably not because of the dust around the battery, I know, but ANOTHER good reason to take that walk back from time to time!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can depend on Wi - FI!

I can't get my Wi - FI goes on my blackberry "BOLD" on the ROGERS network. When I go into network WI - FI installation it says that I need to enable wi - fi before it can search networks, and when I say in turn on a wi - fi connection it comes up with a message that says "unable to activate wi - fi". Also when I go to wi - fi diagnostics > status, he told radio wi - fi is not lit. Under manage connections, when I check the box of the WiFi it stays on for a minute, and then turns his back on a red 'x'. Anyone know how I can get this to work?

    Thank you!!!

Did you do the basics like the battery pull and let it restart.   If that happened no less yellow there may be a larger problem.  Have you tried to run the installation routine too?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can depend on Wi - Fi radio to connect to the Wi - Fi on Blackberry Bold 9780

I can't turn on the wireless radio. I've tried a soft and hard reset nothing helps. When I click on Wi - Fi under 'Manage connections', him the tick disappears in a few seconds. Any suggestions that I can do to turn on the Wi - Fi radio while I am then able to connect using Wi - Fi connection?

I've seen this happen before, and in most cases, it is a hardware failure. Might be time to replace the unit.

  • [Curve 9360] blackBerry smartphones can receive BBM but cannot send...

Hello, I just signed up today. I have the Curve 9360 Apollo, I can't send BBM in the last 3 days, it only shows check without "D" or "R" and obviously my friend will not be the message.

    Here's the situation:

-BBM Contact Status Update (recent updates) seems normal, I can see the updates.

-I can receive all BBM sent me, PIN request work well this way.

    -I can browse the Internet

    -Push email working fine

    -No problem with Blackberry ID

-J' have plenty of BIS data plan service provider, I think that's not service provider problem, because I can navigate, push email, updates work.

The only thing that does not is that I can not send any BBM BBM contact.

    I tried to do this:

    -Pulling and reinsert the battery

-reload OS, currently using BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.1.0.1647 (all languages)

-Remove the maintenance book to remove entry

    -the reinstatement of host Routing Table, it is my host routing information;

-Reset the device and use a different blackberry ID, but not luck

My my device is connected to a server that is currently had problem BBM. I have another device, Bold 9790, with even the network carriers, normal work. Differences is given in the IP/Port host routing information. My "BOLD" has (or connected to (?)) IP/Port 206.51.26.192:18815:18810 in the meantime my abnormal Curve 9360 has IP as shown on the screenshot above.

Then, someone at - there have any idea?

OK, finally I managed to make it work.
Today I decided to use the SIM card from another provider of services, AXIS Indonesia in my case, after changing, I get gateway IP diferent and normal BBM work, then I go to previous service provider (IND - XL) and ask them to change my smart SIM card and bam! I got new gateway IP pretty much the same thing as the gateway ip of my bold work 9790. Here my new host routing information:

Hope this will help someone with the same problem as mine. Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not change password BBID

    Hello

When I turn on my Blackberry, I can't do anything without first signing in my BBID. The problem is that I forgot my password. When I click on 'forgot password', I get error message saying "unable to update Blackberry ID account information while offline. I changed my password on the computer, but my device does not recognize it, probably because it is offline, but there is no way I can go online without signature first.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how lock the phone?

I can't find a way to block my phone. What I want is so that it can be locked once I turned off and need to type a password to review its content. Essentially a measure of security. I tried all the tricks of password but can not understand and is not really doing what I want it to. Thank you!

    J

Hi and welcome to the forums. I'm not sure that I fully understand what you are looking for in what concerns your BB to lock. If you tried to set a password, and it was not what you liked? You can quickly lock your device in now the * key. If you have a password enabled, you can type on it to unlock everything. If you have a case with a magnet nearby, you can set your device to lock onto Holster. A password is needed to unlock after waking from sleep. Your device is paused when the case or when you press mute. I hope that helped. I would like to know if I was far away or if you have any other questions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can access in standby mode

I just bought a Curve 8330 last week. Like it, but the mute has stopped putting the unit in standby mode. It seems doing nothing now. I have perhaps inadvertently pushed the toggle button up as the mute. Don't know why it would turn off. Has anyone else had problems with this? Any suggestions?

You can try to reset the unit? With the device on, just remove the battery for 30 seconds and replace it. After restarting the device, try using the sleep button
