BlackBerry smartphones can not make or receive calls all of a sudden
Since a few days, I have been unable to make or receive calls still yet I can text, email and Im without any problem. I get out the battery and then it works for a few hours and then stops again. Any ideas? Help, please!
Hello and welcome to the community!
I recommend that you try to start safe mode:
- KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe
It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.
Good luck and let us know!

BlackBerry smartphones can not make or receive calls or text messages
I have a desk that also my BB services (e-mail and internet) work and device to register. But I can't make or receive a phone call or send and receive text messages. Try calling a number any (including the short customer service number) I get only the message on the screen saying "Call Failed". I'm with O2 with BB unlimited but also tried other SIM cards or reset to the default setting but still the same.
Could someone help?
Hello
It really seems to be the same problem I had. The reason why my phone did not work (calls and sending messages) were that the phone has been updated with the index. Looking to solve the problem, I visited O2 and T-Mobile (which was the original support) and people and T-Mobile was very helpful and kindly spent some time to solve my problem. At least it confirmed what I already knew. Because the person who took this phone as a contract obviously has not paid the IMEI of my phone bill has been blacklisted and I couldn't use it in England (he works abroad). I could use only internet, emails etc. exactly as you can.
These people in T-Mobile store after talking to someone in their service center told me that the only way to remove it from the blacklist must provide the original proof of purchase. I called customer service and they confirmed this as well. So if you have the same problem that you need to talk to the person you bought the phone and ask the original proof of purchase of the phone company. At least, it works with T-Mobile and should then with Vodafone as well.
In my case, I went back to the phone to the Ebayer. As he was shopping, it had no original proof of purchase. It wasn't easy and I had to remind him of Ebay and Paypal political and it took some time but finally he refunded my money and I bought it.
There is another way how to remove IMEI to list black, but not quite sure how legal, is that you will find someone who can do that in England. You can. Write on my email if you want more info and don't know what I mean.
Hope this information has helped and you will sort your problem.

BlackBerry smartphones can not make long distance calls during a call from BB address book
Hello

"If I use the phone to call the exact number even, for example 1-604-82402021, the call goes through. Y at - it a parameter to set? Please notify. Thank you.
(2) I have synced my BB to Outlook 2007 on my pc to print a paper copy of my contacts list. Synchronization worked fine but only gave me contacts with their name and e-mail address. Contacts on my BB without addresses email has not appeared on the list and details, addresses, dates of birth, and especially the phone numbers for contacts appear. Is it possible to get ALL the details contact on a paper copy? Thank you.
The folks at Telus is unable to help because they apparently don't know produced pretty well BB. I won't pay BB technical to tell me how to use their product, but I could take the service providers advise buying an iPhone. Someone can offer some advise to solve these two seemingly simple questions
Thanks again.

Please check your Smart Dialing settings... maybe they are active, which could make the '1' in your point of unnecessary Contact.

Interesting... it must synchronize all... hmmm... Well, if your only interest is a paper copy, then an export might be too simple. The Desktop software can export to a CSV file, which you could then return to Excel and do what you please. Unfortunately, the export feature has been removed in more recent versions of Desktop software (don't ask... it's a HUGE bru-ha-ha!), and you must use an older version (6.x or lower, I recall) to do:
Good luck!

BlackBerry smartphones can not connect BlackBerry Pearl 9105 for PC
Hello world
I have the following problem:
After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).
In addition, the PC does not recognize my smartphone as a usb device. Updated BlackBerry Desktop Software and the purchase of the new Micro-USB cable did not help.
I can still load.
Could anyone suggest me how to solve this problem?

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).
Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.
My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.
I hope that something it is useful!

BlackBerry smartphones can not cling
I have a bb curve 9300, it is around the age of 6 months. My problem is that I can't hang up a call when I press the red button. He also cannot afford to return to the home screen when pushing of any application or another screen. He died when same established so. I have the latest os 6.0. I tried to do a cleaning and a cancel and have put older versions of the operating system out there. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
Hello and welcome to the community!
You didn't just say... but this symptom this no matter what you did? In other words, you have tried several other operating systems and this symptom yet? If so, is it possible that your BB never had wet? If so, then...
REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM YOUR BB NOW!
Run, don't walk, to this FAQ:
Do what it says, including the maximum recommended wait time. Marketing your BB between her getting wet and do this process reduces the chances of success. In addition, the only predictable thing in the intrusion of moisture in a BB (indeed, any electronic device) is that the results will be unpredictable. I've seen some return immediately and be well. I have seen that others do not work. I've seen more a little run and then die later. And every thing in between.
Alternatively, you can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:
- Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
- If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
- If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
- Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
- If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents
When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.
If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.
Good luck and let us know!

BlackBerry smartphones can not synchronize with the USB cable plugged into charge pod
Hello
I read on the web site of shopblackberry.com, in the details of charge pod ( http://www.shopblackberry.com/_blackberryaccessories/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?frompage=category&page=product_d... ) that the pod can handset with charger travel or data cable for charge and/or sync with a BlackBerry smartphone. So, my question is related on a problem or a misunderstanding of me to this description.
I want to know if we could recharge and synchronize the BlackBerry via USB cable or is only responsible for the BlackBerry when connected that way. My second question is, is it possible to synchronize the BlackBerry with the USB cable plugged into the pod or not?
Because I got a request from one of my users about the fact that his BlackBerry 9000 can not synchronize when it is on his group.
Thank you very much!
Hello
It's a loading dock. It is useful, because just drag you your "BOLD" in there and it will load (just like the 8300 Curve).
If you want to synchronize, you can plug a usb on the side of the appliance cord. This can be done while the machine is in its dock, where the description.I have the same crib, but for the 8300. It's really worth buying. I'm happy with it every day.

BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700
The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.
I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.
I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.
The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.
The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode. When I look at my memory settings:
Compression - enabled
Map of media Support - on
Mass Storage Mode Support - on
Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes
I formatted the card successfully on the BB.
I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.
I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.
I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.
I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card. I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.
I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card. My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC. I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.
I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.
I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help. I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.
Thank you!
Hello
Have you tried to connect the device on another computer? If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.
Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:
KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer
KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone
You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.
An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.
I hope that this info is another starting point for you!

BlackBerry smartphones can not make a call, but can receive calls
Hello! I BBCurve9380 and somehow it just stopped making the calls, but I can still receive. I don't know if it's on the changed settings but on what I read in other forums, it's on the it policy. I checked mine and it says BBFS1 [GTALKAP1] and WLM 2.1 [WLMAP01]. I've updated all my apps and my computer can read my phone just fine. When I try to make a call, it automatically disconnects. Any help would be appreciated.
In fact, you have a lot more work to do, in light of your acquisition method. Reference:
- KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone
For step 3 stages of seller, you should replace it and it will remove unit COMPUTER policy:
- KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
However, later, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore. On the contrary, do only a selective restore of only those databases that you absolutely need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages) and specifically avoid restore databases that have nothing to do with HIM, political, business or other similar things. If you restore those, you'll just be right back where you are now, as a full restore will conscientiously COMPUTER policy again on your device.
Note Please that I really have no idea if doing this will restore your ability to make calls... 100% of the information I have comes from what you have posted here. I'm guessing that the policy could be the cause of your problems, but I can't know that. No matter, since there is an IT strategy on board and you are not on BES, then you definitely want to get that deleted. But regarding if that will restore your ability to make calls, I have no way to predict the future... If something is the cause of this specific problem, then we'll have to deal with this - AFTER you remove the it policy so that we can be sure it does not hinder anything else.
Good luck!

BlackBerry smartphones can not make or receive phone calls
This morning, having never had a problem with my phone before, I have a message that says "SIM card rejected" right to the very top center of my screen. In the very right corner it says "SOS" in red.
