BlackBerry Smartphones connectivity issues

When you are connected to the internet via Wi - Fi, I can use the browser without any problem. However, I downloaded a few applications (Facebook and Twitter) I can't communicate with them.

For the Twitter app, it says: 'the network application Fail' if I try to update.

For the Facebook app, it says: "cannot connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact your provider to support server"when I try to log in.

Wi - Fi access will not allow you to use any application on your device.

    Hey,.

First time using this forum so ill try my best to explain my situation.

I have a Blackbery curve 8520. Until recently he worked perfectly but it has since not load websites, even when connected to the internet. My BBM works perfectly however. I have saved, rebooted and ensured that data services are on. I contacted my network provider and they said it's a blackberry issue thean rathr a network one.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I really want to listen to these automated messages on the hotline more.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you will need to contact your mobile service provider for formal support... for the last time, again they you brushed OFF... even if the problem is on the EDGE (btw... BB is a device, RIM is the company that manufactures the BBs), your support channel always starts with your carrier... they have the power to escalate your case in RIM free of charge for the user end... There is no other way by which you can receive free formal support from the RIM... actually, these forums are not similarly supported RIM , but rather to the users.

    Good luck!

Please help me - I've updated my curve today but my PC is dead to half way through. Now when I turn on my phone it just comes up with a list (files, pictures, contacts, etc.) and the statesBlackberry platform 5.2.0.67. I try and close, click on them, but it just says error. There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    Method 1:

    • Open the Blackberry Desktop Software and connect your device to your PC with the USB OEM cable and without inserting the battery.
    • You will get three options: try again, update or cancel; Click Refresh.
    • Once, it is at the stage of initialization of 'pocket', insert the battery.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second method:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode. KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphone messaging issue curve 9320

    Hi all!

the e-mail on my 9320 function does not work correctly. I have correctly configured my gmail on mydevice account and I get emails and receive notifications when they arrive, HOWEVER...

When I opened the email all I see is heading for the topic and who it is from, there is no message body. Looking back through my old emails, the only ones I have read completely are those that I received BlackBerry when I first set up my email confirming the installation. If I select answer or forward, it opens the E-mail project but then the email app is closed completely and I'm suddenly brought to my home screen.

    What I've tried so far:

-Turning device and turn it on again

-removal and setting up my email account once again

-wear the device to where I bought it. they offered to download blackberrydesktop on my PC Manager and backup then restore my phone. I did it without a change in behavior from my blackberry

Any help or advice is much appreciated

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you need to consider a full reload OS... to prepare, please visit link for Backup in my auto signature on this post.

  • "BOLD" of blackBerry Smartphones connect internet not, BBM, email

    Hello forum!

This morning my Blackberry Bold 9000 worked very well, I've had into Web pages and had also received emails.  Something went wrong somewhere during the last four hours.

I first noticed I wasn't getting emails, and then when I went to try internet it wouldn't connect either. The error message for emails is 'impossible to contact service' and for the internet, it's just can not connect at all (most recently the small icon blackberry disappears an hour after a hard reset, then the internet says 'network coverage not sufficient to process your request. Please try again later. »)

I tried all (pull hard, return the service directories, check the routing table host, check to ensure that the data are enabled) and I was on the phone with AT & T and nothing works.  I was hoping that's a service issue at their end, but they tell me that doesn't seem to be the case.

Can anyone please help me or point me in the right direction?

http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-9000-series-discussion-bold/173229-bold-wont-connect-interne... -C' is exactly what I saw! would it be a hardware issue even if this morning the phone was fine?

Any advice would be much appreciated thank you!

I give it an hour or two and try EVERYTHING that once again... Powered ON the battery pull, service books, etc.

There is probably a local problem of ATT.

  • _RenderingSession.getBrowserContent blackBerry Smartphones (connection, this, e); does not work on bb Simulator

    Hello world

I develop a demo of the browser to display only the text and images. I finished my app and it works very well in blackberry devices. But I want it to work in Blackberry Simulator.

I use Eclipse 3.4.1 and Blackberry JDE 4.6.0. Windows7 Pro

The problem is that the line I marked in red was not executed. That the app work well until this line and it crashes on this line. I used try catch, but it is not an exception. The following lines in the same function are not executed. It behaves like the function is finished.

When I debug the application in this eclipse platform, line by line, after this line opens a new page and it says "Source not found!"

I need to work on the Simulator, too. It is very important to continue to improve the application.

    This is the code:

    RenderingOptions renderingOptions = _renderingSession.getRenderingOptions ();

    Disable images in html format.         String useragent = "BlackBerry" + DeviceInfo.getDeviceName()+"/"+DeviceInfo.getSoftwareVersion ();             renderingOptions.setProperty (RenderingOptions.CORE_OPTIONS_GUID, RenderingOptions.USER_AGENT, useragent);

    browserContent = _renderingSession.getBrowserContent (connection, this, e);

    Thank you and best regards.

I have solved this issue, too. I started the MDS Simulator, and then run the BB Simulator. Then, the problem is resolved.

  • BlackBerry smartphones 'connection to the Yahoo server lost '.

I'm a recent user of a Pearl 8100 Blackebrry. I want to synchronize my smart phone with a calendar that I can access it from any computer using Thunderbird and Lightning. I intend to use my Yahoo calendar, but I'm having a hard time to synchronize with my BB.

I installed the BB desktop software 4.7, which allows me to sync Yahoo calendar. Yahoo, however, requires to switch to the Yahoo! News schedule when I want to synchronize my (lightning) programs for them. But when syncing for new Yahoo with my BB calendar, I get the error message "Lost connection to the Yahoo Server" and nothing is exchanged. When returning to the old system of Yahoo calendar, there is no problem, except my programs cannot sync with Yahoo calendar.

Someone at - there a solution to this?

    Kind regards

    Pete

I do not know. But if I were you, I would do the links differently.

My main calendar would be on Yahoo! Calendar.
I would use Mozilla Thunderbird + Lightling to connect to my desktop PC Yahoo! agenda.

and in the meantime, I'd install the Yahoo! Go app on my BlackBerry, that would allow me to have near real-time with OTA synchronization (over the air: which means using the EDGE/3D/CDMA phone data connection).

  • BlackBerry smartphone WiFi issues BONES v6

Hello, I recently got a Blackberry Bold 9700 with OS 6 with AT & T. I want to browse the internet with WiFi only, I have set up my connection and the WiFi light is displayed in the upper right corner.  When I disable my data service and try to connect to the browser it says "unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later." How can I connect to internet using only my WiFi? I don't want to use internet from AT & T on my phone because it costs money and I only have 200 MB. Help, please.

Yes, that's correct.  In fact, what some people do, is download an app on AppWorld that will open your WiFi connection whenever you are in a registered WiFi spot, such as your home or your work or a Starbucks.  Then, whenever your phone is able to pick up a WiFi signal, it will use this connection exlcusively.  Whenever you are not in one of these areas, the app will keep you your WiFi connection is closed.  I'm not sure of the name of such an application, but if you're looking for AppWorld under utilities, you should be able to find one.
