• Transfer contacts from blackBerry Smartphones to a Curve 8330 on a BES.

  Hi all

  I am a newbie to BB but recently received for the work.  My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) on my new Curve 8330.  I took it to my local Sprint store, and they said that contacts can be transferred because the BB was registered on a BES.  The Bluetooth connection no longer works, I guess for the same reason.

  I don't have a chance, or there at - it another way, I can enter my BB contacts?  I have contacts stored as individual card (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.

  Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

  Since you're on BES, why don't you just DL your vcf to your PC and import them into Outlook? Then BES will be responsible to your BB.

  I loved my Curve 8330 from Verizon who was running v4.3.0.127 (Platform 3.1.0.72) and had the BB Dimension icon theme. When the ring around the ball fell, the company gave me a nifty new Verizon Curve 9330 6.0 Bundle 1741 (v6.0.0.431, platform 4.4.0.315), running with the theme "BlackBerry 6 f...". "by default (can not read the whole name of it). I'm usually very happy for advancements in technology, but after having this phone for a little over a week, I'm ready to throw into the river! I just want my old phone back!

  Is it possible to replace the software on my new 9330 with the version I had on my 8330? I have the 8330 yet and the disks that came with it. Or, if this is not possible, the BB Dimension icon theme are for the version of the software that I use on the 9330? Anyone know where to find?

  If this does not work, if I had to find a replacement 8330 phone, does anyone know if I could find even the old software that I liked so much?

  I just bought my first BB Curve 8330, through Verizon.  I noticed that some downloads will not install on my BB via the Manager of office (like the game of Sudoku) free on this site.  The office displays an error message indicating "no additional applications designed for your device were found".  Are there restrictions based on the provider of telephone service with regard to this software I can install it on my BB?

  I just changed the inclination of AT & T for the Curve 8330 on Verizon's network, and so far I'm in love. I'm having a problem however, the "Media" icon is missing and I can't seem to get it back.

  -"OPTIONS - ADVANCED OPTIONS - HOST the TABLES of ROUTING CLICK on IT. "MENU KEY-SELECT REGISTER NOW" fix.

  -The 'Email SETTINGS - SERVICE - SEND SERVICE BOOKS' difficulty.

  -Soft Powercycle.

  All to nothing does not.  The media icon is still missing. Any ideas?

  Nevermind, I'm a * beep *. Apparently the media icon has been moved to the file 'Documents To Go', and I just had to bring it back up to the main screen.

  Hello all I just bought a blackberry curve 8250. .i responsible for four hours and is gone to work... low and behold a few hours my blackberry was dead! I was shocked and upset I had no phone every day... I went home and charge it for 10 hours... It's just 10 hours and low and here are 15 minutes the bar disappear from... as soon as I'm at work I charge it again... This is absurd.

  My Nokia lasted 3 days! I have no midn load blackberry every day, but with a life of 2 hours is a joke... Of course, it must be faulty? I haven't yet started emailing or still... just browsing using blackberry mesenger and a few quick phone calls...

  It is important to note that I don't live in a 'black box' I have no reception in the House with optus but telstra and vodafone are very well... again my nokia never had a short battery life... can someone help me out here... im really regretting buying a blackberry and I'm stuck with it for 2 years now!

  If your battery runs out THAT fast, you have other ongoing things.

  This, for now, with smart BlackBerry powered phone, remove the battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  There is no harm in it, and doing so will kill all active applications.

  I found the solution [Alt] [Caps] [del] to be unreliable, because sometimes it does not restart complete (I can tell because when the unit returns to the top, it is not locked), and if you have an application running that you can not leave, sometimes this key combination will do absolutely nothing!

  I found the only Soft Reset solves this problem well.  Is a bit slow (I think it creates a file, open it, then asked to remove it by forcing the system to request a reboot), but you're absolutely sure that you get a full reboot without wear & tear on your battery door!

  Hi, I'm looking for something with a curve of friends. Phone powers upward but cannot use any key or scroll. I have stripped and cleaned the scroll ball, and there was a very heavy dried dust in scroll housing. Which I cleaned it with a soft brush. I factory reset, using BB Manager (0kay), but this problem still persists. I watched the Ribbon connectors and they seem to be connected properly. Any suggestions please?

  It could be anything. It sounds like the keyboard or the water has gone bad. However, it could be something in the main map too. You won't know until you start replacing parts.

I have the dreaded "app error 523 Reset"... I took the South African Vodacom phone and they don't take because the number of IME is not compatible with their system. I went to repair shops and they can't solve the problem. I tried the instructions on site and forums of blackberry without success. I even downloaded the OS on my PC and tried to solve the problem without success. The seller in Cape Town has not responded to my SOS. I have no one else to turn to. What I have now is a dead piece of fancy equipment that I have spent a fortune on my scholarship and I used for a month only 3 or pleased...! Was there a problem with the storm series that someone is not talking? I bought with enthusiasm the BBerry starting to regret.

  You see, "without success" says virtually nothing. The download was successful? Failed installation on your PC? How did the installation of your BB? "Without success" only let me guess... which is not a good use of your time.   Some users prefer to hide the main message icon and use only the specific e-mail folder. They are automatically filtered in this way. Your yahoo email account just to the folder of Yahoo, only your Gmail comes to your folder of gmail, only your [email protected] email comes to another folder, etc..

  You can have up to ten accounts/email addresses on account a device/BIS.

  I use a security code on my BB Curve 8330.  I tried to synchronize media files today through the desktop (win XP) USB interface and has been invited to enter a password.  I used my security code and password account BB, neither worked.  I unplugged the USB cable and now cannot unlock the device by using the keyboard.  Twice I have re-set the device (battery removed), and we invited to enter the word "blackberry" I did.  When you are prompted to unlock the device, I try to enter my code, but instead of the usual displays of * (standard characters when you type a password), I see on the screen the characters I entered.  I use a 4-digit number for my unlock code, but when I get in I see the corresponding value of QWERTY (eg.  type '2' see 'e' on the screen)

  Now I have 9 of 10 attempts and don't want to lose my data.  How can I get this think unblocked?

  1. While you still can, on your BlackBerry smartphone, change the password to something very simple, alpha characters only, not numbers, without capital letters. To do this before you lose all your data. Enter the incorrect password ten times will wipe your device of all data, contacts, calendar, etc.

  2. you probably think that you have a number or a capital letter in your password, and you don't really have.

  for example, if you think your password is "w3rs", try alpha correspondent character and the PW would be "wers".
