BlackBerry smartphones enable BIS

Hello... I bought a Torch 9800 unlocked in Hong Kong recently and use it with a local carrier, here in Singapore... I can use everything on the phone except turn my BIS... My 3G is activated but not BIS... Can someone help me...? What is the point of using a Blackberry if you can't use it with BIS... No.... See you soon...

Your BlackBerry probably previously reported lost or stolen. There is absolutely nothing you can do.

  • HELP blackBerry Smartphones: I BIS, but BBM and Gmail only works on network and NOT on wifi

Hi all, sorry in advance if this problem has already been postponed.

I myself recently had a bold 9900. Everything worked well, but I met a pretty big problem which I spent hours looking for fix on the internet today, but nothing helped. So I decided to make an account on here to see if anyone can inform me personally with a solution. My carrier is O2 (UK), but I use the sim card while living abroad in Czech Republic. I don't meet with this problem on my previous BB (torch).

I buy a monthly BIS data plan and it is still active at this moment - it is clear from "EDGE" that appears at the top right of my screen when the network is enabled or "3 G" (with the blackberry icon) .
When the network is running - my BBM, Twitter/Fb apps, Gmail, browser all works fine (as it should) because of my BIS.

    The problem:

Once I turn the networkand activate wifi WE, my BBM and Gmail work & the BB icon disappears from the top corner, instead of move slightly down to accompany the icon of intensity of the wifi (which would always be the case on my previous BB) right.

What is even more strange, given that BB icon is still missing, is that my BB Facebook and Twitter apps still work fine with wifi on, just like the Explorer... So why not BBM and Gmail?

(Which makes me ask: I thought that the BB Facebook and Twitter apps necessary BIS to work?)

Anyway, once I enter the 'wireless network' > menu > 'Troubleshooting' > "Wifi diagnostic", the following errors are displayed:

    (1) UMA connection error. Status: Error of wireless network

    (2) infrastructure blackberry connection error.

I tried to return the directories of service, which made no difference.

    Help, please!

Well Yes, I tried yesterday (restore to factory wireless settings) does not. I have now restored the mobile to factory settings and I'm relieved to say that the BIS now works just the wifi.

    Thanks for your advice anyway.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones missing BIS on the e-mail configuration option

When the phone started there was an option to configure the e-mail via BIS or BES. I had to cancel because I wasn't sure of what was our e-mail configuration. Now that I'm going through the Setup Wizard > e-mail setup only 1 options appears for the email of the company. How and where can I I install this feature for BIS since we do not have a company server.

    Thank you.

You can try to restore the missing option by the reinstatement of your device. Go to Options | Advanced options | The host routing table. Select the "BOLD" in the list entry, hit, you're menu button, then choose Save now. Subsequently, reset your unit by removing the battery for 1 minutes and replace it to let the device will restart.

If that is not to bring the options you can configure a BIS account via your BIS carrier Web site: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8300&message.id=13773

  • BlackBerry Smartphones strange BIS connection behavior... how to add new account?

Hi I created a BB e-mail account via my Storm and it worked like a charm.  But when I went to log on the site of BB on my computer at home (http://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw), it would not accept my password... even if I know it's good.  Ask for the site to send me a password does not work, as I had never actually received the message on my phone.

So I removed the e-mail account of BB on the thought of my phone that I would like to re - add just to see if that fixed anything... but when I try it tells me the username already exists.  If I ask the site to send my account information to my PIN, I get a message that my username and password do not exist.  And when I go to create a new account via the BIS Web site, tells me that the username already exists.  Is not a common user name, so there is no way someone he recorded in the short time between deleting my account and trying to add new.

How to re - add the service with my previous username without clicking on the button "create a new e-mail account of BB?

    Help!

That did not work, unfortunately... so I ended up calling the technical support of Verizon and they managed to re-pair my phone with my BIS account orphan.  Sounded as if it was a fairly simple process, but apparently not something I could have fixed on my own.

Anyone having this problem: just call Verizon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones smooth BIS transfer between networks/carriers (Sprint to T-Mobile)

I have currently my 3rd device type (5th overall), a WE 8830 with Sprint PCS.  I love the unit but I hate Sprint.  My contract is up and my 8830 went permanently it is first a little over 2 years, this is my chance to upgrade!

I found what I want with T-Mobile, but it will be the second time I changed networks in 6 years and I'm afraid of what happened last time happen again.  When I changed from Nextel to Sprint (7100i to 8830) I had problems with the BIS don't and WHEEL operation actually freeze the account when we attempted to emigrate.  How can I avoid this when I change to the new 8900, I am about to order?  I know how Sprint Nextel treated my question in the first place (by putting me on hold for 30-45 minutes whenever I called for almost a week), is there a way I can avoid this and see little or no interruption of service?

    Thank you!

    1. There will be a transfer of BIS accounts. You will get a new one with TMo. New device, new account, etc. When your BlackBerry data Plan has been activated, just connect and set up your e-mail on BIS accounts.

    2. all carriers have their good and bad days. I stayed with TMo waiting 30-45 minutes, too. Join the crowd

Good luck, you will enjoy the many 8900, good camera!

  • BlackBerry smartphones enable my BlackBerry ID... I already have?

Recently, I had to do a wipe contact/e-mail on my BlackBerry Curve 8350 configure BES (to my place of work) on my cell phone. After having done that, I downloaded all my contacts from My U.S. Cellular Contact Backup, but I have problems with BlackBerry's App world.

In short, I had before the specific deletion of applications and games I purchased via PayPal, through BlackBerry App world. However, when go/go to the BlackBerry App World to get into my old ID and password, it doesn't recognize me and said that I need to activate my BlackBerry ID.

I spent the best part of four hours on the phone last night with BlackBerry and despite trying every variation of password, e-mail and resets - thus creating a new an and trying to synchronize the PayPal after creating a new ID - I still can't access to my old BlackBerry App World / My World.

I still have records of PayPal with my purchases, but I can't get BlackBerry App world to recognize me, and I always get the error 'you must activate your BlackBerry ID'; I lose the games thaty I paid forever?

One of the main reasons I went to a smartphone was that with normal cell phones you lose games if he's injured; I want my games and Apps I have paid for and a wipe to activate a service for BlackBerry, should we not wasting the other features that I just paid for!

Here, any help would be appreciated...

    Hello WVTinyTim,

If you go to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid, you are able to log in with your ID again? If so, try changing the password and use the new password on your device to connect.

Send me a message private with your BlackBerry pin (found under Options > status) and the e-mail address that you used to create your ID BlackBerry and I have this review for you.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones configuration BIS service

    Hello

I received my 8310 for personal work, we use a BES server, is there a way I can reconfigure the 8310 to work with BIS?  At present I can receive emails and SMS messages, but cannot respond to emails or surf the internet.

Any help would be greatly received.

Strictly speaking, a "wipe" does not remove the it policy. The process to do this is to first remove the BB to activate BES and follow this KB to remove the it strategy (method 3 is my favorite method).

If your policy has been removed, then perform the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your carrier for formal support because you pay for services they don't deliver.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how BIS works with MDaemon

I had installed mdaemon 11.03, I want to set up BIS on the server, I m new for BIS can any body explain to me how this works...?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

There is no app BIS for you to configure your server. BIS is basically a mail client, access to messaging systems connected to the internet. BIS is hosted to carriers and RIM and functions as the interface between the e-mail services and BlackBerry hand-helds. The end user (the person with the BB) configures BIS with all their email credentials... What BIS then uses to check for the "what's new" email servers, then by pulling from the e-mail server, the "what's new" and pushing for the BB.

BIS, Setup instructions can be found here:

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones enable Question?

I downloaded the demo of Empower, but I do not see it in the apps or download. Empower is only incorporated with the message icon gmail emails and still going at it. Help, please.

If you talk to empower the BES, box mailbox, then all you will see is the extra BES mailbox icon. All your BES mail will be filtered to only see in this icon. The Messages icon will continue to have email from all accounts (including BES... This is a defect of BB/BES). Filter to other e-mail accounts in the main box of Messages, you will need to create a BIS account for each separate account... then you will these extra icons to filter only the pieces of electronic mail. But even in this case, I believe (not 100% sure) that all e-mails are always going on the main Messages (it can become a place very messy when you use multiple e-mail accounts). Cannot change that.

BTW - for Gmail, there is also a Google module application that will handle multiple accounts gmail without the floods on the main Messages. I have and he manages now all my Gmail accounts separately... and lets me access my Gmail addressbook.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook, BIS and message of reconciliation

I use the app Facebook 1.6 on my "BOLD". And I like it. But one thing that bothers me...

Of course all facebook notification emails have to go to my email account (hotmail). BIS picks them up and then when they hit the unit I guess rather than hitting the messages as usual, the device folder punts in facebook to display it.

But now I find myself with all notification emails in my Hotmail account. If I wasn't using the facebook app, I would delete these to my list of messages, and they would be gone from hotmail too (as I reconciliation). But because I use it, even when I delete messages from facebook etc... (and I don't know all the notifications are facebook messages) they are not deleted from Hotmail.

I looked at the implementation of an AutoFilter on hotmail punt FB messages in a subfolder, but then BIS will not see them.

Does anyone know how to get around to meet with a cleanup of the massive Inbox of all facebook messages once a week?

in the facebook application, have you checked the notifications options? If I remember correctly, there is a specific to your problem (ie: delete the notification by e-mail once the facebook app called IT)

  • Phone smart blackBerry Smartphones enable wireless

Plug the device wireless to continue to send and receive e-mail messages and other Blackberry services

This is the message that I received before you download the most recent software upgrades.  I don't know how to do this!  Any help would be appreciated!

If you are on a corporate BES account, you will need a password to activate the device to connect to the network.

Otherwise, don't worry if you're not, in this respect, it means nothing.
