  A few annoying problems recently with my Bold 9700.

  First, my Blackberry has suddenly started to massively delete recent appointments in my calendar, which will attempt to remove them from my Outlook calendar when I synchronize the device to my laptop.  This has not happened before, and I checked to make sure that the schedule is set to never delete nominations, and it is set correctly.

  Second, my Blackberry App World application (both on the device and online) does not display one of my installed applications, except one, but they are all still on the device and working properly.  I'm 18 apps installed from BB App World, beyond the pre-installed applications on the device, which are less than 10 MB in total size.

  The reason I think that the problem could be linked to the internal flash memory is that whenever I want to install an application, I usually get a message indicating there is enough memory and I have to uninstall some other applications to free up space.  When I checked my memory earlier, he said that had less than 1 MB.  I restarted the machine and now it tells me there is 12.2 MB of available space, which always seems incredibly low for me since I installed only about 10 MB of my own applications.  So, I delete the file all attachments of the device and do not keep e-mail on the device beyond 30 days, and all media is stored on flash cards, not in the device memory.

  It's an automatic protection mechanism with BBs. During the AppMemory (not the device, no media memory card memory) get low, the BB must start deleting things to preserve its ability to operate.   Please uninstall AppWorld options > device > application management.

  Scroll down to BlackBerry AppWorld > delete.

  After installation go to app world and see if you are able to download on a PC, you can also try to scan the barcode of this application, it will request a download link on your device. Please try it and let us know. But like I said try to download Over the Air.

  Age of your device is not relevant. If your usage patterns consume a lot of resources, it's the situation. But I have no way of knowing what your habits are, so I can't guide you.   In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

I tried to return the service directories and empty the cache. I also called my service provider and they offer no help for me. Is there any solution for this or does have the phone must be sent in the RIM, I always left a guarantee. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM!

  I got my BB Torch 9800 for a few months. Already used to work properly, all my emails used appears in the messages folder. But these days, when I get emails my bb flashes red and it shows on the top of screen email icon. But when I open my messages folder shows an empty without any email folder, even though I can see the icon of e-mail showing pending emails there. I'm aware of this option which, if I press menu bb and then tap show all, my e-mail address with my name will appear. This way I can display the e-mails received. But I don't want to use this option, because I prefer all my emails go to the messages folder, that way I can have more space to download other applications. Please help and any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

  Note: if I recharge my camera all e-mails shows up in the messages folder. I don't want to reboot my device whenever I face this prblem.

  You might have a problem with your database of Messages. Try to clear the database and tests of new messages.

  The flow along the top indicator shows the symbols to indicate new messages, new Facebook messages, etc.  When I hit the bar, he don't go to my messages, it just switches back and forth between my 'all' file and my calendar.

  Everything seems to work fine now.  I get notifications in the bar of the flags and when I touch it, I see a list of messages that I can scroll.

  My phone was locked, so I've turned off and took out the battery for a few seconds.  When I turned it on it worked fine!

  Hi, I recently got my first Blackberry - a 9300 3.

  It seems impossible to connect to my home network via WiFi. I've implemented the BB with a manual setting that I have a non-broadcast SSID and password is correct. My router is a Netgear DG834GT. I have a laptop connected via WiFi so I don't know the router, WiFi & DSL is all operational.

  I can sporadically, but not systematically, ping the router of the BB, but I can't ping a web address (for example google.com). I can't ping the BB from my PC, but an IP Scanner confirms that the BB is on the network.

  My career has suggested a reboot, reinstall the firmware and turn WiFi off & on - everything I did.

  I'm very knowledgeable PC, reasonably network aware, but a complete newbie to BB and smartphones.

  Any ideas?

  Well, I've sorted - or rather Geek Squad pointed me the right direction.

  It seems that the phone does not like the standard security WPA - PSK Protocol. While the router is recognized, the phone cannot communicate through the router.

  Change the wireless security protocol on the router to WPA2-PSK has solved the problem. Of course, if you do this you must also change the Security Protocol on all your other devices on the wireless network, or else they may not work.

  So I am new to the blackberry world.  I'm used to smartphones based on windows, but I don't think it's my problem.  I do not show an icon of any kind, when I have a voicemail.  This has happened on one of my other phones from verizon and they couldn't fix it either and I had to get a new phone.  I really don't want to have to get a new phone because it took me a while to get my microsoft exchange and blackberry enterprise servers.  I hope I am missing a setting somewhere.

  My blackberry Storm is an indicator of the home screen which seems related to the AppWorld. It is a circle with an arrow towards the lower left with a red asterisk.   You do very well... the icon shows updates. Sometimes a developer will publish cumulative updates, so that only one is necessary. Others are going out of the incremental updates, and if you're far behind, you may need to update the app even several times. Just keep the MyWorld control until that none show they have an update available more.

  However, that won't get rid of the Update icon! In Messages (somewhere), there are new messages from AppWorld you need to find and remove... they determine that the icon and it will not disappear until you deal with the messages.

  The message is in one of the folders messages or it is a mistake. In the message list, press menu and 'display the folder '. Browse all records to see if there is a message not read anywhere. If this does not work, do a battery Pull:
  1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
  2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
  3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

  A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.
