BlackBerry smartphones, I can't add a new e-mail account!

Hello

I just bought a Brand New Unlocked BBB 9700 T-Mobile, its open so I can use it with any GSM.

But I have a problem, I can not create new e-mail (gmail, yahoo, msn) account and this will make me worry.

I just go to settings > Setup Wizard > E-mail configuration > after I see only one blackberry enterprise server I have, but if I keep asking me for the email and the password... I also see and PIN number it.

Please suggest me what to do.

BB services are not 100% comparable to others. They are different, using different technologies. For example, other technologies use an e-mail client on the device that must constantly question for the "what's new" email servers BB, in contrast, uses the BIS service that is hosted by the carriers and the RIM... BIS is the questioning of the email service and only generates traffic for the BB when there is "news". It's just one of the differences. But suffice it to say that BB has a different product and the market continues to allow them to collect a tax of premium for it (even if the debate as to how long it will last can certainly do rage... without me well!).

    I use OpenOffice to my office programs.  I need to send a presentation to someone on my email.  I use the e-mail account of Qwest.  I have an error bubble that says: "there are no associated messaging program to perform the requested action.  "Install an e-mail program or, if it is already installed, create a binding by default programs control panel" and then a second bubble opens with this message: "OpenOffice has been unable to find a work email configuration.  "Please save the document locally instead and fix of in your e-mail client" I tried to attach it to an email, but he won't.  I went into control panel of Windows 8 by default and it wont let me add my webmail for Qwest information.  Qwest has tried to work at their end, but they said everything was working from their side.  Configuration must be done on the side of Windows.

    Glad that you have installed it, and it worked very well.  Live Mail is always very well compatible with Windows 8 and recommended.

    You will only see an Inbox, sent, etc. items. If you click on create a message, you will see an arrow right down to reveal the accounts you can send from.

    I want to add a new e-mail acount for my Blackberry 8310. Following the instructions I did with the installation wizard. I found the option "setup mail." Based on these, I can only choose options:

    1. "I want to set up an account with the BB Enterprise Server" and "

    2. "I want to stop with the installation of e-mail".

    The option "I want to create or add a new account" does not appear. Anyone know how to solve this problem and how can I add a new email account?

    Tell the truth, I did did not check again if the normal browser worked. In the upper right, gprs is written in small print and not wholesale (GPRS), but the browser seems to work anyway (with WAP?). I have no knowledge yet of any mobile internet...!

    So now I'm able to access my confidentiality pop3 my own emailserver using googlemail as intermediary.

    At least for the next year, I can work with this until my contract ends and I can take a new with BIS.

    Firstly - as your official support channel and the provider of the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for you, really I'm surprised that your operator you can provide no support or the resolution. They actually manage the BIS system and your BIS account... then they should certainly be able to solve this problem.

    Indeed - I think they should... of what you describe, something weird happens. I do not know what that (I have a suspicion, but I don't like what I suspect), but only your carrier can investigate the "behind the scenes" to see what is happening. In addition, if they cannot understand, they have the ability to climb to the RIM base for assistance... here in these forums, this can't happen.

    I suggest contact you your carrier and do not forget to press on for climbing. Anything happens, they need to solve.

    PS - my "suspicion" at the top, it's that something about the supply of your BIS account got confused with another user/BB on your network of carriers.     I just bought a Bold 9780 and try to set up the e-mail.

    I go through the Configuration tab e-mail accounts. I click on it - get a square of black smal who shows brefly and rest of the configuration screen.

    Trying to Exite of installation, the phone freezes. I can't move to cancel. The only way out is to remove the battery.

    The other function in the running Configuration all OK (except for Blackberry messaging, but who is because no e-mail account has been configured).

    All other functions allow me to exit the right way.

    I have internet and WiFi access on the phone.

    Any advice much appreciated woould.

    This means that you have business service that allows only an email, you will need to obtain services of BIS on blackberry in order to add more emails to your device.  Call your carrier and tell them you want to be able to add personal e-mails, but also to keep your current corporate plan as well.

    OK, so my OS has been upgraded last night (at v5.0.0.743 v5.0.0.862) and I now have the ability to add SMS numbers as contacts.

    So, to add the SMS number as a contact, simply do the following:

    In the SMS of the person you want to add, click on the BB button, and then select Add to Contacts. Fill in the details required for the person.

    If you do not have this option, then you can upgrade the operating system on your BB. RIM sometimes falls options from version to version of the OS, but return them to the successive versions.

    Please can someone help me. I just got a replacement for my Blackberry Torch 9810 camera, as my old laptop had a flaw.  I backed up all my files, media etc. through the desktop software on my PC and successfully restored to my new camera.  I'm having trouble linking my hotmail account to my new camera. Whenever I try to put in place through the Setup Wizard, I get the message "the Blackberry Enterprise Server has not responded to your activation request. An error has occurred. " I get my e-mail address and password correctly whenever I try to connect, I also do not touch activation emails I get in my hotmail Inbox. I think the problem is that I have not been added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Please can someone help me here?

    In fact, unless you're on BES (and HotMail is definitely NOT BES), then you must stay away the company setting completely.
