  We had a member of the labor force leave our company who has used his personal blackberry to receive emails from work on his handset. Even if he has left to join a competitor that it continues to receive our emails to sales.

  If this email account has been integrated into its BB via your company BES, your admins BES need simply to remove it from the BES console.

  If this email account has been integrated through BIS, then the thing safest to do would be the same thing that everyone should do every time that happens the turnover - change all passwords on the systems to which the former employee had access. Yes, this means that all users access this email account must reconfigure their interfaces, but given this symptom, there may be others who also have access to it? It is likely (IMHO) time for an audit and a reauthorization of only those users who need access.

  I don't think that RIM may even find the information you are looking for... Well, not just at least... would probably someone to do a little digging around to find it. Even if they consented to it, I'd bet that you would pay very very heavy for them to do. As this isn't anything within 'normal' support, I think your only option even ask about this is via paid incident support, which costs a tax just BTW even ask the question.   My work to put in place my company e-mail email today, and all my emails are placed under the 'catch all' 'messages icon.  So my work email is interdisperesed between my SMS, email from comcast, etc.. I noticed that I can select "View folder" then "inbox" and it gives me my work email inbox, but these are additional steps that I would avoid.  Is it possible to create a separate icon only on behalf of corporate e-mail?  I noticed a software package called empower (http://www.getempower.com/Empower_BES_MailBox.php), but my guy TI said they were not sure about the software.

  Unfortunately no. You described the problem to the T. The Messages icon is a catch-all. You can separate the other accounts to the different icons, but not the BES account. Empower the mailboxes BES is a good app and works well. But if you use that you can create a custom search that allows access to your BES email just access key.

  1. Open your Messages, view the menu and select Search.
  2. Change the following fields while leaving them nothing not mentioned blank or unchanged default value.
     Service: Office
     Show: received only
  3. Display the menu and select Save.
  4. Choose a title and shortcut key. (I used L for Lotus Notes)
  5. Display the menu and select Save.

  Now every time your messages screen, you can press ALT + L (or this that never shortcut key you chose) and you have a picture with only your work showing messages.

  I have and you know a few of their friends who have this problem with the same notification emails Twitter (as the new followers, etc.). For me, I can wait a few seconds and turn my Torch horizontal 9850 and the 'lack' on the message screen will appear. Since the 9900 supports no portrait and visualization, which may not work on your 9900.

  But it's not only your device, it is something inherent in Twitter notification emails.

  I was going to change the setting for one of my accounts on my Torch. I tried the installation application to do this and when I try to open the section that says "manage email accounts" I received a message that I needed to update this software... .so I admitted it and in the download process, asked me if I wanted to replace the old version with the new... I admitted it. The download process could not be completed... whose know why! ?? And now I can't access the emails or adding new accounts management application because the application has disappeared! It has been deleted in the process!

  Help! How can I fix!   :-(

  Do not worry, I'll have you to spot and exploit again at any time.

  Connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  (If you have not installed, go to www.blackberry.com and look up under Apps & Software).  Open Desktop Software and do a data backup.  Once the backup is complete, click on the device in the upper part of the BDS and update the menu drop down.  If you already have a backup of the data on your phone, choose device and then restore instead of the device and then update.

  If you chose the Update menu: you can say that your phone is already up to date.  If so, look for and click on see the other Versions.  When it opens, make sure that your current version is checked and click on update.  This will restore your Setup email on your phone application icon.

  If you have chosen the recovery menu: there will be a list of backups that you have made on your phone.  Choose the most recent (top).  Once activated, click on restore and your email application icon will be set up once more.

  It has developed before... and the answer has not changed. There is no possibility to recover what has been removed from the servers of BB Protect... once removed, disappeared forever. BB Protect is an excellent element of a good backup strategy, but IMHO should never be relied on as the single component.

  It is not possible change the "send using the" when replying to an e-mail message.  You can change during transmission, however.

  Click on e-mail settings-> put the username and password (if defined by you)-> sub service go to email accounts-> hitting the button Delete in the ID e-mail that you want to remove.

  I have my business emails (BES) configured on my Storm.  In addition, I have Yahoo and Gmail configured on it.  There are therefore three folders "Messages" on the main screen for each email address.  My emails businesses going in the main folder of Messages.  However copies of all of my Yahoo and Gmail emails are appearing in the main folder of Messages as well - in addition to appear in their respective folders.

  Is there a way to configure the storm where the emails Yahoo and Gmail DO NOT appear in the main folder of Messages?

  I have Hotmail and I was able to retrieve the deleted message. At the bottom of one of the screens Hotmail (it may have been the spam screen), there is a note saying 'click here' (or something like that) to get to the top of your deleted messages recently. Although even I had emptied all deleted/junk messages, MSN could display all or most of the messages because they did not have them banned in the cemetery of e-mail yet.
