BlackBerry Smartphones if I pay I'll be able to make it work?

This forum was not useful. The suggested solutions of BB in another part of the site did not help. It seems that my next option is to pay for technical support of BB. I thought I could get help from a tech in the city, but apparently not. If I pay for the support of BB I will actually be able to set up my Office Manager so it will synchronize? (see my thread "Unknown error reported")

I thought I was asking for something simple. In fact, I was able to put in place in the past. I don't want to lose my money for more of this.

Is there really a solution outside the landing forced the BB? I have two main problems with this thing. When I try to implement DM6, I get an unknown error message. None of the solutions have worked. On top of that, my schedule is dumping points for no reason. I have it set to keep the elements forever.

Hi KathrynB,

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing frustration so much with it.

Can you try to do these steps for me please, to see if we can get this resolved for you?

  1. Clean uninstall the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, as shown here: http://bbry.lv/acVRkU
  2. Right-click the Start button, choose RUN (or in start search box, type RUN), in the type of window RUN "msconfig".
  3. In the System Configuration utility, on the Services tab, in the list, check the hide all Microsoft Services.
  4. In the Startup tab, click the button disable, click apply and then OK.
  5. Restart the PC.
  6. Create a new account to Windows user with administrative privileges.
  • Click Start and select Control Panel.
  • Click user accounts and family safety
  • The title of the user accounts, click Add or remove user accounts.
  • Click on create a new account.
  • Type the name of the account. Select the type of account: administrator.
  • Click on create account.
  • Log on to your user account current and in the news.

Download Desktop software and save it in the Documents or desktop.

Right-click on the downloaded file and select run as administrator.

Install for all users of this computer.

Once installation is complete, try the synchronization configuration in the new user as a test account. You may need to configure Outlook or synchronize with ASCII for this http://bbry.lv/ibEbb0

If this is successful, log out and in your normal user account and try the synchronization configuration it.

Hope this helps,

Looks like you have removed access to BlackBerry data in your downgrade.

I suggest you call your mobile to the top and knowledge services provider if new BLACKBERRY data plan, as any generic plan will not work on a BlackBerry.

Have you thought about how you will try that? After all, 'format' is not a same command available on a BB...

If you decide to go ahead, I recommend a refill of BONE. from a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Now, I can't go in the app world do this because says that it needs wifi but I don't have it. Is it possible that I can get on the right app world using mobile Internet, because this seems like a stupid idea for people who do not have wifi!

BlackBerry World does not require a WiFi connection to work.

Options > device > application management, what AppWorld version you have installed?

    You can delete it.

Then do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
The browser on your BlackBerry go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not play youtube video with the 3G network, but works with WiFi, why? Help, please!

    Hello

I tried several times to read the youtube videos with network wifi and it works fine, but when I use the 3G or GPRS nework to play the video, it first to ask "Switch to WAP for streaming media? (with wifi that he won't ask) so I press ok and it uptempt to load and an error message "content not available. Server is blocked or unresponsive. ", it goes with all the videos I click on that. Help, please.

    Thank you

Let me share my personal experience on the subject. When they are facing the same problem, I asked my provider and they tried to pull a fast explaining that viewing videos on the 3G network is dependent on the device and that it is not possible to videos on my BB "BOLD" due to speed issues. They even suggested that I buy an iPhone 3G given that subscribers who do not seem to display YouTube videos problems. A load of rubbish! After only a brief workshop organized by RIM and my career, I was "unofficially" informed by a member of staff that it was a TCP/APN issue. I take advice, made the necessary adjustments, and was able to view Youtube videos on the 3 G network without problem. However, my Bill the next month floored me. Even if I'm on a package data unlimited, I was charged an extra $ 70 on top of what I usually pay. Learn more with my carrier, they were kind enough to inform me that I have to access the Internet via their APN address, which translates into a lower speed of AFN, orI will have to pay for accessible data on the other addresses of the AFN. I supported with my questions and my carrier eventually admitted that they were actually limiting the speed on AFN as allowing only some mobile devices to access data at 3G speed. Then you tell me!

Hello... and apologies for the late reply.

    climb45 wrote:

The browser comes as part of the core OS BB on the device, but depending on the level of the OS, it may or may not be able to operate without an adequate data plan subscription. Some (most recent) OS levels allow the browser to function very well via WiFi BB only, while others limit the browser race strictly via BIS (even when WiFi is the data connection only). Opera can be installed on the BB as a replacement browser and normally works very well when WiFi is available. Many 3rd party applications have parameters of configuration inside of them to direct the application to use BIS, BES, WiFi, etc. for their course of data... we must be sure to have the apps configured correctly to allow them access to a functional way, especially when BIS is not due to no data plan subscription.

    climb45 wrote:

    See for general guidance:

It is not quite fully updated for the newer operating system levels (see above re: BB browser), but it is generally reasonable to use.

Other than BBM and SMS (in newer versions of PB/BB/bridge), I don't know any way to run, your PB, whatever your BB at all. On the BB, he has the ability to remote control of the PB (via Bridge of BB), but not the other way around as far as I understand. Since you will not subscribe bis, you won't have BBM anyway.

    Hi compare

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

For your first question, it can happen because of any bad behavior apps installed on your device, how many third party applications you have on your device? Can you try to start your machine in safe mode to see if it happens

KB17877 : How to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone safe.

If safe mode if your device works well, then you must remove all third party applications you can think of is responsible for or after the installation of this preoblem raised.

For your second question, you can also try these steps:

1 - Save your pocket computer.

    • KB00510 : how to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

    2 send your Service book

    • KB02830 : send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • (Wait a recording message comes for each e-mail accounts, you have set up on your device)

    3. and then do a restart of battery like that pull while the device is powered on remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert back

Please try these steps and let us know if the problem appears

  • BlackBerry Smartphones camera works does not suddenly

    Hi all

I tried to take a picture yesterday to find that when I select the camera on my phone, I have just a white screen and the camera icon is gray shaded and cannot be hired?

I always get the flash and geo tagging icon / scene mode icons and I am able to use them simply not capture icon.

I had a range of different messages arrived saying that another application is using the camera etc and when I select video camera I get the message "the camera is use by another application, cannot start the video camera viewfinder."

I ran the self test (which was a bit pointless) and he has just confirmed that the camera was not working.

I tried to pull the battery with the phone on, but that does not solve anything.

At my phone plugged on charge last night and when I woke up this morning and turned on I checked the camera again and it seems to work!

I could take a picture and then I just got the blank screen again and were not able to make it work again since.

I have not recently added all the apps or made any changes to the phone and it seems to have happened completely at random, as I did nothing extraordinary.

I would really like to solve this problem without having to delete and re install the OS if possible but its is not in good shape.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones getting an applicattion of internet in my BB?

Using my desktop PC, I found an interesting application on http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/4048 and I would like to make it work on my BB Bold 9000. I've never downloaded an app. I'm pritty new here. How to make an application installed on my BB? Any reference to information on the web is also welcome. Thanks in advance,

    Hello

The easiest way, IMO, is to install AppWorld on the device and use it to search for applications that are compatible with your BB... and install them if you wish. The web catalogue is comprehensive and will show you the apps that are not compatible. The catalogue on the unit displays only compatible applications. You can install AppWorld from here:

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    email_dc wrote:

    2. is it possible to do a hard reset of the device to factory default as a new phone?

There are several methods (which, BTW, no I believe to be useful to your situation):

    • KB16307 Actions performed by the BlackBerry smartphone during the removal of the user stored and application data
    • KB14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe
    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
    • KB29847 How to charge a BlackBerry smartphone without using the BlackBerry Desktop Software

    email_dc wrote:

    3. wonder if I can use this BB torch for email via Wifi only (not the cell provider data service) as an iPod Touch?

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

Good luck and let us know!

OK thanks... you came very close to what I need... except just saying 'mistake' in regard to music downloads... but, any...

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you need to get in touch with your service provider and insist that they honor the formal support that they are contractually required to provide you with. Do not let you fob before having 100% solved the situation. If they tell you to contact RIM, don't let them not on the hook, then either... insist that they tell you exactly how you should contact RIM. If they say anything OTHER that they will increase you rim (for example, if they tell you to independently seek the support of the RIM), and then accept it. Only through an escalation of your service provider can you receive all official support from RIM.

Looks like they have made significant changes to their network... and they must ensure that their paying customers will continue to receive the services that they pay.

    Good luck!
