  I recently bought a BB 8300 BES (I guess) and West no way to configure it! All I can do is to activate email business (which I did not), and theres no option of browser or via e-mail (I can not add email accounts)! Is it possible to change to BIS? My ISP gave me all the info I have to configure my device, but I can't find where.

  If your provider has only a BlackBerry of pay-per-use plan, not a data plan unlimited BlackBerry? When you talked to them how did say you must configure e-mail accounts?

  BES or BIS isn't the software, just the 2 types of plans you can choose from. With BIS, you can configure up to 10 personal email accounts, browse the internet and includes the package data unlimited (generally excluding text messaging). With this plan, your Inbox of your e-mail account synchronizes with a BlackBerry. All data must be synchronized via a wired connection with the Desktop Manager software. The price of this plan is usually about $30 (depending on your operator).

  BES has all of that with the addition of the messaging capability of installation on the device company. If your employer has a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) all data allows to synchronize the BlackBerry wireless. The price of this plan is usually about $ 45 (depends on your operator).

  Now the problem is that I'm not able to disable password insecurity,
  (Homescreen > options > Security > password), there is a small latch (yellow lock symbol). Another problem is that I am also able to disable encryption, there is a tick mark on who. And there is one symbol of a padlock, please help me da information thereon, after every 20 minutes my B.B gets locked and I asks me to put the password of da, I want what it b done with the company.

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  From what you describe, there is a COMPUTER on your BB policy which is demanding both encryption and a password for the device-lock. If you are currently on the BES, then STOP NOW and see your BES admins they control it.

  If you are not on BES, somehow your BB has a COMPUTING policy... the cause maybe it was once associated with BES, but not properly deleted when the property was transferred to you. If all goes well, there will be other problems that often comes with "2nd hand" situations. In any case, you can check this:

  Even if does not appear as described, from what you have described, there is probably a COMPUTER policy that is causing this (some may be "hidden"). To remove it, first make sure you have a good backup of your BB... See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions. Then do this:

  Thereafter, your BB will be as new... you need to re - install your applications and restore your data (according to the backup you took my instructions above). BUT - when you restore data, DO NOT make a full restore... rather, only restore these databases you need (e.g., Contacts, calendar, Messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid those who have nothing to do with the COMPUTER policy, company or similar things... If you restore, you will be right where you started.

  If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

  Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  I am a new user of BlackBerry (bold 9780). Since I got it I was not able to set up an e-mail account. When I click on 'E-mail accounts' in the settings, sometimes he brings me to the next step and sometimes nothing happens.   I have 2 questions that I hope someone can answer.
  

   

  #1), I have a unlocked new Curve 9300 OS5, checked with my cell phone provider to make sure that everything was compatible before I bought it. My cell phone operator's cellular consumption and their internet settings etc is the same as AT & T, but I am not able to connect to the internet. The phone I bought was a phone that has been configured for use with AT & T. My operator tells me that Blackberry phones are the only phones that they were not able to get to connect to the internet, all other phones that they have had no problem with, nice huh?  I do not understand why Blackberry phones, even those which is suitable for AT & T does not connect to the internet via cellular consumption, even using the same codes, or what you like AT & T, or so I thought. Someone, can someone help me to understand this or put me in touch with someone who can, I think Blackberry would learn this so that the problem can be solved, I know several people who would have liked to have bought Blackberry phones, but decided to not not having heard about my situation.

  If you are referring to the security password to unlock your device, you will not be able to recover it or changed it. You will have 10 attempts to open it and then our device will perform a security wipe.

  If you are referring to your selection of the site password BIS forgotten password. You will receive a PIN message with your password.

  If your device does not work, use the attached link to get all the necessary information and then call your operator.

I noticed while testing option 'restore' in Blackberry Desktop Software 'Saved messages' is grey so not able to restore and downloaded programs were not included in the backup course so I'm delaying the update of the OS 6 bundle OS 6 bundle 1879 2949 until I can get these issues resolved. First of all, where are my saved text messages would be they located on the SD card?   As I said, I suspect saved SMS Messages to be a subset of the base of great set 'SMS Messages"together with the message 'saved' being a subset within this database.

  I can't answer definitively for you because I've never had the problem you are experiencing. You may need to test to know for sure.

  Just transferred one of my domains hosting that I use for my other domain. Went to create an e-mail account for the 3 email addresses I had the BB under prior host. Removed the old accounts. Click Setup mail accounts, then other then entered the correct address and the correct password. Received message 'invalid address or password '. Not possible I installed these accounts on my PC and my IPad with no problems. It seems that BB won't accept any new domain name account that I transferred 10 days ago, can someone help me please?   TCC - I THANK YOU first to respond to my situation and the second to be ON - it appears that you are an expert on the RIM! That was the problem - integration. Apparently my Blackberry account 'forgotten' about my domain name and had to be reinstated. I discovered by obtaining technical support for my carrier, AT & T and when they could not understand why the e-mail accounts could not be created, they transferred me to RIM.
