BlackBerry Smartphones impossible to uninstall all versions of DTM (5.0.1 or 6.0)

Since my computer is automatically downloaded and installed DTM 6.0, I got nothing else problems.  I was unable to get 6 DTM to recognize my BB Curve 8330, so decided to go back to version 5.0.1 which worked flawlessly. Unfortunately, I could not uninstall 6.0 and get error 1316.

I watched all the answers previous to this error and followed the instructions - made uninstall cleanup as described in KB02206, even do the 'additional information' at the bottom of this article, without success. I always show the two office managers Blackberry list programs, but the Control Panel does not recognize them as not being programs, so I can't uninstall. I even tried to reinstall the version 5.0.1 despite this without success - the same error.

I am running Windows Vista, 64-bit with all the critical updates installed. I was using Trend Micro Internet Security initially, but recently switched to BitDefender. I have a lot of hard disk space and 4 GB of Ram with a Dual core processor.

I really hope someone can help me with this.  I'm more concerned by the day as I don't have a recent backup of my life!

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

It will take some time to solve this problem, just to notify you beforehand.

First of all, we need resolve error 1316, which is caused by the install shield. Follow the instructions in KB04272, once you do this.  Then follow the instructions at KB02206.

You may find the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove physically BlackBerry Desktop Software programs/features.  If you do a search on google, it is very easy to find.

    Okay so I recently bought a blackberry 9800 torch of my friend, its not in poor condition but it has a few scratches on it. the phone also worked well for her.

    This morning, installed an app to rename my files of music, called MTagz or something like that

    directly after the installation, a grey box with a blue loading circle sign and the word loading it appeared. I thought he'd go after a while, but long story short, he didn't.

    Ive tried to restart and turn my phone off, then on, but it won't work. If I could, I would like to uninstall the app, but my phone is completely insensitive.

    Given your procurement method, I recommend that to start here:

    Ensure that all measures are properly carried out in order to completely divorce the BB from accounts of friends and thus to be able to create entirely what you need for you alone.

    Regarding your question as stated, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

    Yes once you install versions of 2014 CC, you can uninstall the older versions from your computer.

    On MAC, you can find the uninstall program in

    Applications > utilities > Adobe Installers.

    Under Windows, you need to uninstall from

    Control Panel > programs and features or programs righteous and then you can uninstall from the list.

    Now the problem is that I'm not able to disable password insecurity,
    (Homescreen > options > Security > password), there is a small latch (yellow lock symbol). Another problem is that I am also able to disable encryption, there is a tick mark on who. And there is one symbol of a padlock, please help me da information thereon, after every 20 minutes my B.B gets locked and I asks me to put the password of da, I want what it b done with the company.

    From what you describe, there is a COMPUTER on your BB policy which is demanding both encryption and a password for the device-lock. If you are currently on the BES, then STOP NOW and see your BES admins they control it.

    If you are not on BES, somehow your BB has a COMPUTING policy... the cause maybe it was once associated with BES, but not properly deleted when the property was transferred to you. If all goes well, there will be other problems that often comes with "2nd hand" situations. In any case, you can check this:

    Even if does not appear as described, from what you have described, there is probably a COMPUTER policy that is causing this (some may be "hidden"). To remove it, first make sure you have a good backup of your BB... See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions. Then do this:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

    Thereafter, your BB will be as new... you need to re - install your applications and restore your data (according to the backup you took my instructions above). BUT - when you restore data, DO NOT make a full restore... rather, only restore these databases you need (e.g., Contacts, calendar, Messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid those who have nothing to do with the COMPUTER policy, company or similar things... If you restore, you will be right where you started.

    If you don't know where is the backup file, search your entire hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd). Inspect the results - mainly date/time of the file. Select the candidate most likely and use it as a source in the above procedure.

    If you are referring to the security password to unlock your device, you will not be able to recover it or changed it. You will have 10 attempts to open it and then our device will perform a security wipe.

    If you are referring to your selection of the site password BIS forgotten password. You will receive a PIN message with your password.

    If your device does not work, use the attached link to get all the necessary information and then call your operator.

    I recently updated my Adobe Creative Cloud products to the latest versions (2015.5), however, all the old versions are still there (2015), or at least, that's what Windows tells me in the control panel. Tried to uninstall, but I keep to uninstall error. No error code in particular gave, said simply that it is impossible to uninstall. I ran CC Cleaner and it showed that the old files of 2015 was still there. I ran the vacuum, but the log file indicates that he failed to remove a majority of everything. I decided to rerun the times cleaner, and now it does not show that all files in 2015 are installed... but low and behold, Windows still shows that they are installed. Clicked on uninstall to see to it it erase just displayed, but Creative cloud appears with the error message that it is impossible to uninstall. Should I go in the folder Program files and delete the files of 2015? Just trying to save some additional gigs of hard drive space. If that doesn't work, then I won't bother to face it, I'm too busy.     If your cc app shows that older applications are available for the installation, install to restore uninstall programs.

    I installed Macromedia Flash Player version 7 a long time ago, and with a huge lack of foresight I "upgraded" to version 10.

    Everything was fine, until I realized that although my web browsers will use the version 10, whenever I tried to open a .swf file in my computer, it will use version 7 instead.

    I uninstalled successfully version 10, browsers and the computer itself. However, version 7 there. It won't disappear soon whatever I do. I used the uninstall program; It is completely missing from Add Remove programs; I deleted the Macromedia folder in the Program files to the hard drive. I'm going after Adobe Reader and Acrobat now, just in case one of them is the problem.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it surpassed the simple drawback - not knowing what the problem is driving me crazy!

    You mean a local SWF file?  This would normally open with the standalone Flash Player, not the browser add-on.

    The standalone version of Flash Player (projector) is not part of the standard Flash Player, it must be downloaded separately.

    Do you know where is the standalone player in your computer?  (Sorry, I don't know the name of the stand-alone Player 7; the latest is flashplayer_10_sa.exe).

    In any case, try the find, then replace it with the last projector http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

  • BlackBerry Smartphones-Installation/connection problems - currently version 4.2.2.12

    Recently changed offices our field internal, and after the change from my Office Manager began to ask for the 8830.msi for installation.  I tried to install a new version without result.  I have read forums and instructions and spent the better part of a day by removing all traces of the Office of the registry software and files.  I reinstalled the 4.2.2.12 from my original CD, because I know that it worked perfectly before the domain migration.  Now, I have 3 questions:

    1. when I first launch Desktop Manager, a "Preparing to install" window appears briefly us, then closes (more on that later).

    2. I have specified the same information of BES (confirmed by our BES administrator) but an error message saying that it is not available or specified incorrectly, so I can't join the BES.

    3. when the Office Manager is started, it flashes several "preparing to install" windows, connects to the Manager of office for a few seconds and then disconnects from the Desktop Manager.  The cable is correct, as argued by the device of connectivity to the PC.

    Please help, because I will be monitoring a business device update next year and hope to use the Desktop Manager software on each user (800 total) PC Exchange and enable new devices.

    Hello! I have a BB 8520 curve. His version of software is currently v4.6.1.314 and my operator is Orange (Spain).

    I'm trying to update the device at least v.5.0 software so I can use some applications that may not work with older versions, but it does not...

    My cell phone, my Blackberry Desktop Software and site of BB all say that there is no update available for my device. However, the Curve 8520 is supposed to accept v.5.0.

    I also called my operator, Orange and they said that my cell phone should be updated if problem...

    From a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

    Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    I'm trying to uninstall version 5.0.1 DM on my Windows 7 computer. After the usual uninstall procedure (remove programs in the control panel), I get an error saying that "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

    Have tried a few third party uninstall programs, but all have failed...

    I need to uninstall the DM to be able to upgrade to OS6 on my Bold 9700

    (apploader located traces of DM 5.0.1 and will not continue until DM 5.0.1 is removed...)

    Honestly, for me, it's about the only method that I don't use, because it is much cleaner and easier for me and I get more control over the upgrade process.

    First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
