  • BlackBerry smartphones install Applications on Blackberry 7.1

Does anyone have an idea if there is an option to install apps on external memory card using blackberry 7.1 (Blackberry Curve 9320) instead of their installation on the internal memory which is very poor (only 512 MB).

    Hello amietmadan

When we install games or theme, they will be stored on your device memory no media card. You can install themes on your device it will not take much space and for games, I prefer to install just the ones you want because our device needs space to run properly.

  • BlackBerry smartphones put Applications on Media card

    Hello

I myself have recently got a Bold 9700.

I was wondering, the 256 MB of available space for the Applications and Email is somewhat limited, more than 9000 "BOLD".

Is it possible to store applications on the media card, which came with a 2 GB card? Or it takes only what internal memory 256.

    Thank you.

    Sorry node possible.

Apps can be stored in main memory

  • Torch of blackBerry Smartphones do not read memory cards

I got my flashlight for a few months and I just swapped my SD card (8 gb) of my previous phone in the torch. There worked perfectly, but then I started getting constant in messages to say media card was inserted and then deleted; These would happen immediately after another until I lose patience and take it out.

I have wiped the card, formatted, followed all the instructions on the forums how do I transfer media top correctly, but now the phone does not even recognize it. I assumed it was just a specific it as card caused hassel in the past, so I tried a few other SD cards and the phone is not recognizing any of them.

I plan to send my flashlight for repair if I can not find a solution, but I would rather not send it away for 14 days if I can avoid it!

    All solutions anyone?

    Thank you!

I had a similar problem before, I formatted on a PC and then formatted in the device

then transferred all the backup after.

  • BlackBerry smartphone APP WORLD vs MEDIA CARD Coupla Questions...

So... I downloaded appworld and didn't get a few decent applications... works great... no probs at all...

    Which leads to the question...

I have a 2 GB card inserted... and would like to know how to move some of the apps on the home screen

and to run them without any problem... and do it safely.

My phone memory decreases fast enough that I added new applications in of appworld.

~ and I deleted via the DM progs that I don't no need... or ever intend to use...

It would be great if I can move ALL the apps that I use on a memory card... I do not know that the phone would go very quickly then......

    So... Is this possible?

    And finally ~

I love my 9500 BBStorm far... he had since February... No probs, but I miss WLAN and Skype...

They will be available for the storm updates...? I was wondering...

    Kind regards...

    Hello!

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, enforcement and the memory of the device are combined into "free file"... This is, IMO, a little more difficult to administer that you can't see really how AppMemory you have. Nevertheless, here are some tips to use:

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Finally, there are some utilities available (including AppWorld) which will "store" apps on your SD card... but they never will 'run' from there. What do these utilities is to uninstall the application (sometimes called 'archive') of AppMemory and keep it stored elsewhere. When you want the application, it will be installed again to AppMemory from this location of archive and then deleted again when you are done with it. Awkward, but given the nature preserved the basic architecture of BB and AppMemory, it's the best possible currently.

Regarding WLAN and SKYPE - you will need to check with these developers to see what their plans are.

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Compression - enabled

Map of media Support - on

Mass Storage Mode Support - on

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone

You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

I hope that this info is another starting point for you!

Up to 32 GB, depending on your operating system installed.

  • BlackBerry Bold 9000 BlackBerry Smartphones shows is not my card place in instant messaging

Hi everyone, I need help solve a problem I have when someone sends me their place via instant messaging.  When I receive, instead of a graphic of a map, I get a ling or a URL if you want to.  I then have to click on the URL that takes me to the web browser, and there I see the map and the locationn.

Anyone know how to solve this problem.  I would like to see the chart of a card inside my instant messaging and not a link I must follow.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

    Thank you.

    Yes, everything that is wrong.

BlackBerry Maps is not AT & T Nav. Two different applications.

Maps of at & T or AT & T Nav is simply a rebranded TeleNav application.

BlackBerryMessenger sends "My position" via BlackBerry Maps. You must have BlackBerry Maps installed.
