• Help blackBerry Smartphones! My new curve locked up!

  My new Blackberry Curve completely locked up!  It displays a gray screen with a hourglass and every few minutes showing the home screen with a progress bar that says "security audit software" then goes black, as is turn OFF... then come back to the hourglass.  I tried to turn it off with no luck.  I removed the battery, but it is up to the hourglass when I reinsert.  Is there another way to reset it?  I've had less than a week!  Thank you!

  Personally, I would get a new phone. While this could be remedied by reloading the operating system, it could also be a sign of a serious defect that may affect your phone permanently. In my opinion, I wouldn't pay for a device that has to be repaired

  or isn't just straight out of the box.

  I was on a cell phone and store parts site a few moments ago and I noticed that they offered unlock for towers of BlackBerry, which seemed odd that they would suggest such a thing. And then, I intend to go somewhere soon, and I want to know can I switch SIM cards without problems. Can someone confirm or not the towers have a SIM lock on them? (FYI, for those who are familiar with a different term, when I say SIM lock I am referring to the carrier blocking the no carrier use of SIM cards in the phone without a special password to disable locking)

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   #1), I have a unlocked new Curve 9300 OS5, checked with my cell phone provider to make sure that everything was compatible before I bought it. My cell phone operator's cellular consumption and their internet settings etc is the same as AT & T, but I am not able to connect to the internet. The phone I bought was a phone that has been configured for use with AT & T. My operator tells me that Blackberry phones are the only phones that they were not able to get to connect to the internet, all other phones that they have had no problem with, nice huh?  I do not understand why Blackberry phones, even those which is suitable for AT & T does not connect to the internet via cellular consumption, even using the same codes, or what you like AT & T, or so I thought. Someone, can someone help me to understand this or put me in touch with someone who can, I think Blackberry would learn this so that the problem can be solved, I know several people who would have liked to have bought Blackberry phones, but decided to not not having heard about my situation.
