  Hello

  How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

  I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

  In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

  Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

  The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.

  I've updated my facebook application to the latest version, but just after that the update of it... i cannot connect to facebook or any other internet-based application. My bbm has stopped working and I could no longer emails. I went to the options of the browser and discovered that I could only go on the internet via a hotspot "browser"... There is no other choice. I tried the battery pull or HRT "sign up now" option but nothing happens. ".  I had my SIM card and inserted into my wife BB and everything works fine.

  I don't know what to do next... Please help

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

  No, you cannot change this profile shortcut key.

  Here are a few shortcuts homescreen to another model. I don't have a complete list for the 8900, but 90% of them work:

  To enable these shortcuts to work, you must have "Dial from home screen" the value 'No' (go to the phone dialer > Options > General Options.)

  Also note that you only need to press to get these applications - if you press the keys, then the appropriate number of speed dial is always composed.

  Configuration of curve of my father, I put in place since two e-mail accounts after you have created a user name for the account of his BlackBerry. I didn't enter the login / pw for both accounts (1 work, 1 Gmail) and they both came back successfully Setup. He receives e-mail messages only for a Gmail good (now). When I go into work account settings it is said that the message service is the Gmail account, instead of the work account, and when I go to work done say work Gmail message service option too so do not give me more receive gmail. It's as if they reflect eachother and I can't have both set up differently. Maybe I missed some options when you set up the accounts. Can anyone help?   I would try to remove the troubled Server e-mail account bis.  Go to the site I posted before.  Restart the device and restore the account.  See if it works.

  I had my first Sprint BlackBerry Monday last and more later added an e-mail address BlackBerry and three other accounts (account of 1 year aol, the other two of my own Web site servers), and everything worked very well. Then one day there I put filters on the AOL account to stop some of the bulletins and specific emails of will and clutter up my BlackBerry. Now, none of my emails are going through to BlackBerry except those I send myself to one registered email accounts.

  I've removed the filters, return Service directories and re-recorded the device through the Table of accommodation, but nothing has worked. I only put in place filters to search for e-mail addresses and forward them not the BlackBerry, but it seems to be all filtering, and I can't cancel the behavior.

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  I just wanted to know that I finally understood the problem. I had inadvertently turned on the firewall under Options-> security settings for blocking the BIS server. All is well now.

  If you have a full backup of the old Blackberry, use this .ipd file to restore only the contacts on the new device.

  If your contacts are up to date in Outlook do a one-way Outlook for contacts device synchronization.

  In short, my question is: "How can I force the Contacts application on my 9780 to load only 1 of my lists of contacts by default?"

  I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my contacts from work (Google apps).  I like to keep these lists of contacts separate and apart from each other, but accessible if necessary.  However, this device is mainly for work, I would not have my personal contacts that appear every time I open the Contacts application.  The effect I'm trying to achieve is after the opening of the contacts--> click--> click on 'Select Contact list... '. "--> and chose a.  Is there a way to save this preference / by default, so I don't have to filter whenever I open my contacts list?

  I have a BB 8900 that is locked to Orange in the United Kingdom and wish to change Vodafone that I have an Internet access account.   I do not have an account with Orange and so no SIM card Orange.

  I got a number from a provider of release and it does not work.  I went to another who gave me four numbers to try, including the one I already had and none of them worked.

  I carefully checked the IMEI number, and that's okay.

  I have now only one attempt left and as I understand it, once that is used, there is no chance.    If I get a new Orange SIM card that will restore the number of retries to 10?

  What can I please.  Any ideas would be welcome.

  Since my first posting, I did a factory reset using KB 18998 on the center of technical solutions of BB, that involves to connect the Blackberry to the computer and using the command line.  The factory reset was done in ok, but the number of attempts is one unfortunately. Is it possible in which the number of attempts can be restored to 10 please.

  Managed to get it unlocked. A highly specialized procedure that had to be done very carefully, because there was only one attempt left and there is no way to return.  The Unlocker is highly recommended and helpful.

  The problem with unlock codes, with which I was provided does not work with 2010 security and MEP-07723-007 should be used instead of MEP-07723-003.  (don't ask I don't know what that means).

  Finally, I send them to work. I now have additional applications, more e-mail settings and BB browser.

  I spent some time with the technical support of French SFR, I told them that BIS was not connected (they had no suggestion) and then I connected via a download and reset.

  Apparently this should all have been done before in the store when I bought it.

  Hello. I'm new to this all advice would be appreciated. I got my 83xx for several months and everything has been fine. I get an email and my phone rings/buzzing. All of a sudden, something has changed. I get emails on my yahoo account, but they do not come through my BB. If I click on the browser, they come through. Don't know what setting I changed. • BlackBerry Smartphones POST UPDATE PROBLEM: calendar data saved in the file "pi". WTF? Help!

  Hi people.  Upgrading wireless was excrutiatingly long. I cancelled it and the update via the Fund Manager was less than 9 minutes.  However... None of my calendar items were restored.  The system says that they were saved in a "PI" file in my documents.

  How to restore these data?

  Connect your phone to the PC, open DM and go to backup/restore then restore and navigate to the My Documents folder and find the file named .ipd LoaderBackup-(2009-05-31), must then restore your data, but I do not know if your third-party applications will be restored.
