BlackBerry Smartphones reboot for more than 2 hours is this normal?

I have the 8520 and earlier today, he said that there is an update available for bbm. I installed the update and it told me to restart the phone, I did three hours ago. The home screen is there, but is completely frozen is this normal? Please help I bought this phone 5 days ago and it's really bugging me,

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Thus, the reboot took 2 hours? Or it restart but the home screen is frozen? These are two totally different situations.

However, with the power on, please remove the battery again. Leave it for at least 10 minutes. Then put back in and wait through the restart - at least 20 total minutes (maybe a little more... "I wait 15 minutes after the reboot is complete before judging whether it is frozen or not).

If this fails, I recommend to start safe mode and delete what you have installed just before it started:

    Hello

    1. remember you number updates that have been installed?

First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.

    Method 1.
Let us run repair system at this stage, it might solve the problem.
See the following articles for additional help and steps on startup repair.

    Method 2.
If the bows persists please verify if you are able to boot safe mode.

Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 3.
I recommend you to restore system using a Windows 7 DVD.

    Here's how:
To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc
If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows 7 installation disc or a system repair disc previously.
To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
    a. Insert the disc.
    b. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
    c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
o If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    e. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
    f. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
    g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it and then choose the system restore and check.

If we are able to boot to the desktop now, I would ask you install the updates one by one andcheck the update is at the origin of the conflict.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • For more than 24 hours running Startup Repair

I recently installed the Win 7 64 bit on my pc nine girls.
Unfortunately, I installed on a motherboard, I had to change. One did not support the RAM I have.
Then I installed the new ASUS mainboard and started.
Everything seemed to go well after loading some new drivers.
But now the pc always very briefly see a blue screen at startup then suggesting safe mode or the Startup Repair.
The startup repair works now for more than 24 hours and that the current repair must not be abandoned. I'm considereing to close and restart and reinstall win 7, but it is a long process, install all software. What's your tip?
O' race he could problems drivers bee due to be installed on the motherboard first.

Stop and do a clean install of Windows 7. You can do anything else. Make sure you have Win7 64-bit available drivers for all your hardware first. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Windows upgrade 7 suspended for more than 10 HOURS! 88% on "parameter collection files and programs.

I upgraded from Vista home premium to Windows 7, you use an Acer upgrade pack, I have an Acer 6935 G. Yesterday, the upgrade is stuck at 18% during the 'gathering of the programs and setting files. I left it overnight to see it was still on the same section but had reached 88 percent. Its now been stuck at this point at least 10 hours (do not know where it has reached this point last night so it could be longer than 10 hours).

I am a novice with computers so don't want to stop the upgrade to halfway through, I do not know the consequences could be, but what I can do? THE SUMMER IS GOING FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS! He could go to 24 others. I tried to get on the Microsoft technical support, but my product key was not recognized? and it would have cost £47 to pay for the support!

  • Outlook 2010 offline Exchange Server after Windows 7 has been locked up for more than 1 hour

    Hi guys,.

I recently got upgraded to Windows 7 at work. I have rules that run scripts first thing in the morning and then run macros and so I have data ready for when I get into work.
The problem is that when Windows 7 is locked for more than 1 hour for a reason any Outlook is disconnected Microsoft Exchange then it is impossible to retrieve emails and my scripts don't end up running.
What can be done to fix this? When I had XP it wasn't drama leaving the computer locked at night, everything went very well. What has changed for Windows 7?
It's not only Outlook which disconnects it seems all my connections are disconnected however outlook is my main concern.
    Kind regards

    Hi sirot,.

I was sent here from my previous post as they said it was a windows problem. Laughing out loud
in any case, I think I could have solved the problem. I changed the send/receive settings.
In the file-> Options-> advanced. In the Send/received subcategory, click send/receive.
Here, I've changed schedule a shipment / automatic reception from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
This seems to keep the connection with the assets of the Exchange Server.
    Kind regards
    Chris
