BlackBerry Smartphones recharges via the USB port connected to the laptop Desk/computer

I read a few discussions about this, but did not come away with a clear understanding.

If I plug my BB in the computer, is the BB battery supported?  When it is plugged and I sync, does this drain also the battery, or simply fees trickling in to face?

Thank you

Chris

If you have loaded and installed DM, it loads the appropriate drivers to put the USB ports. You are well.

I was invited this by a user. I think that a laptop USB charging won't work because the laptop will not be able to provide a sufficient charge to the BB device (clear the message of the screen when you try). Is there a way you can do this or does it just cannot be done. I'm fairly certain that this is the case, but as I don't know 100%, I would be grateful if someone could clarify.

    Thank you very much.

This means that the phone ends so much power that the ports are closed to avoid damage to your laptop.  Get a USB hub powered (the one that plugs into your computer and comes with an adapter to plug into the wall) to provide more power, or less plug items on your USB ports at the same time.

Very well. So I don't have a data plan on my blackberry, so no not web email, I use it strictly for telephone calls, text messaging and taking pictures. I want to transfer my photos and my text messages sms from my phone on my computer. I would also like to transfer my ringtones if possible but I won't push my luck on this one here. I don't have a microsd card in my phone, so everything is recorded directly on the phone itself. I tried to connect my phone to my computer via the usb port but it does not allow me to go into things phone and copy on my computer. I also downloaded and tried the blackberry desktop manager, but he wants me to turn on the storage of mass media that will not help me because there is no microsd card in my phone. I want to record everything on my computer because I bought a new phone that is NOT a blackberry and I want to have my files on my computer. Can someone help me please?

    Hello

Try to download and install an earlier version of the desktop as the BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.6 software.  You should be able to download it here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Which works best?  Another option is to get the CD that came with your phone and install the original version (assuming you still have it).

    No,

Printing from iOS is only supported via a (wired or wireless) network connection.

You can use Direct wireless for that matter (where the printer behaves like a router) to print from iOS on a LAN:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Upgrade causes the connection Bluetooth to the desktop software does not work

I'm a business traveler road warrior who lives and dies by my BlackBerry synced with my laptop.  I just spent most of November on the road and worked hard the BB and laptop.  The two worked perfectly.  I was able to sync the BB to the laptop with Bluetooth or USB cable and not problems.  Since I was AT & T, I could use the BB as a modem for laptop and get 3G service everywhere wherever I was going.  Life was good back in the day... November 2010.

Then... I get some downtime and decide to meet the guests of the BlackBerry software desktop that there are updates available for the desktop software and software of the device of 9000 "BOLD".  I decided that since I have no immediate need and criticism so I can update.  So I update.

I updated the software to version 5. something to 6.0.0.43 version.  Once the software has been updated, I get a prompt to upgrade the 9000 to a new version of software for device.  So I move from 4.6.something to 5.0.0.82 2.

I do a couple of synchronization with the USB cable and I feel good.  Then I try to sync using bluetooth.  No joy.  Unable to get the desktop software to see the Blackberry.  The 9000 "BOLD" connects to Windows 7 OK and I can even use the laptop as a speaker.

So I go through the "Add bluetooth device" menu and office procedures.  During the search of a device discoverable bluetooth, the 9000 "BOLD" is so I clicked and respond OK.  Then I went back to the Bluetooth Configuration screen where nothing appears.  I can't add the 9000 "BOLD" for Desktop software.  Something is not.

Nothing is more exasperating to have everything to work perfectly, apply the updates recommended by the provider of the software, and then have things get broken and stop working.  Before after the Desktop software prompts to upgrade, I worked flawlessly.  After you apply the upgrade of Desktop software and device software upgrade, I can not connect with Bluetooth.

I searched on the Internet until I no longer have to read in order to find a solution but can't seem to find a solution.  Maybe I'm just angry with RIM and these horrible upgrades that utility that I really liked.

Let me answer a few questions before someone decides to help him.

Is your BlackBerry detectable, so she can be found and associated with?  Yes, I updated the device discoverable.

You can pair your BlackBerry with Windows 7 64 bit?  Yes.  No problem.  I can use the laptop running Windows 7 64 bit as a speaker with the BB.

Could you have made other changes that may have caused the problem?  Nope.  I did not follow the guidelines of RIM in updgrading Desktop software and device software.  I suppose that, in this case, I followed the destruction of the RIM.

You do backup your BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" before upgrading the device software?  Yes.  I'm not stupid and don't trust any upgrade for the exact reasons, I'm writing on this forum.

You have a Windows 7 restore set where you can go back to a point in time before you upgraded the Software Desktop 5 point. something to 6.0.0.43?  Yes.  I have a restore point.

Do you have confidence that you can do both a restore of Windows 7 to get something back to 5. AND then to restore the device to 4.6.something?  Man, that thought makes me sick at heart.  I trust both RIM and MSFT to do their work and we know that RIM was screwed up, or I wouldn't be here today.

Can anyone help with obtaining of BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0.0.43 (updated 5.something) version to see and the pair with a BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" which had 6.0.0.43 improve software 4.6.something to 5.0.0.82 device 2?

It is confirmed.  5.0.0.82 2 is total c * p.  Who knows what complete insanity due to RIM out a such terrible and wounded many customers update.

I was able to downgrade from 5.0.0.82 2 to 4.6.0.304.  Compatible bluetooth and connected seemlesly, even if the connection has been very sloew the order of minutes of time to the Desktop Manager.

Here are the instructions to downgrade.

1 remove the newer operating system of your PC by going to control panel > Add/Remove programs.

    2. next, download and install the earlier version of the operating system. BlackBerry operating system downloads

    Find here the operating systems:

    http://BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads

    3. install the older operating system to the computer by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

(I had to look for vendor.xml as I have Windows 7, but when I found and deleted things work as described).

    5. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

These instructions worked like a charm.  Connected to Desktop Manager and did a sync as soon as the 9000 "BOLD" restarted.  Apparently, the problem was my stupidly following the recommendation to upgrade the operating system to 5.0.0.82 2.

  • 'Data Connection Refused' blackBerry smartphones turn off the notification!

Hello, I'm on sick leave for the next three months and my work doesn't pay for my phone, and I really didn't want to know how many emails are piling up in my Inbox, while I'm away, so I called AT & T today and cancelled my internet package.  So, right now, I'm only using my blackberry as a phone and calendar, tasks, etc.  There is a notification that appears on top of my phone that says 'Data Connection Refused'.  I looked through the options and I can't understand how to transform that turned off, any suggestions?

    Thank you!!!

This means that your SIM is not provisioned for BlackBerry services... which is obvious as your request to cancel your BlackBerry data plan. To delete "Data Connection Refused' on top of your device go Options -> Mobile network -> Data Service: Off.

  • My camera blackBerry smartphones did not when it is connected to my computer

I had used my computer from time to time to charge my blackberry, this morning, I unplugged and tried to turn it on with no luck. The drums out and I tried again without a bit of luck. Put it on the charger and the battery with a slash symbol showed on the screen. Any ideas on what's happened.

The battery is dead. Free of charge.

Leave the appliance to charge 2-3 hours and then, always toujours relie connected to the USB cable, remove the battery from the camera a few seconds and plug it back. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage).

If it does not start - try using a wall charger if you're not. If you are connected via USB to the computer, make sure that you have Desktop Manager (or USB device drivers), you can download it below.

Make sure that your USB cable is connected to one of the main rear USB ports of the PC. A USB hub, or USB Monitor port not a USB port on the front of the PC.

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

  • Via a USB port with a network printer

    Hi all

I have a peculiar problem.  My company has Win7 and locked our laptops.  Can I install USB printers but not network printers.

I have a LJ 425 MFD dn, who worked as a champion for the last couple on my network ofyears domestic.

What I want to know is, if I can now connect to the rear USB port and also use it to print?  The machine will do both?  If this is not the case, can I connect to print, and then sign out and let him return to the networking features or do I have to restore it on the network every time I'm doing this (fixed IP).

    Thanks for any help.

    Jim

This will depend on how tightly locked down your business is portable.

To tell you the truth, you should check with your company system admins to see if what you want to do is possible before searching and mucking with equipment of the company.   We recommend that you violate your company computer policy just for the convenience of printing at home.  If its for work, then it can wait until you're on the job to print.  If you have a reason to print at home, then your company should be responsible to provide you with a printing solution that is approved.

Thing to know is the software that is installed by default by HP.  If your newly guarded work computer running inventory on the applications that are installed you could be marked for a software not authorized by your IT Department.  The only pilot facilities are a little safer, but you will have to rely on 3rd party applications provided by your company in order to avoid stepping on the toes of scanning.

You say you can install USB printers so we will assume that you are willing to take the risk and the computer is allowed to add printers custom.  You'd have to do is to download and install the drivers/full software solution for your operating system and personal printer.  Locate the drivers and the download page for your printer from here: http://support.printers.com. Once the files on the computer, and then run the installation and perform a normal USB installation according to the steps in the installation wizard.

A printer can be the USB connection or network connected at the same time.  If there are job never contradictory in the queue of the printer will just print them on a first come, first served.  There should be no need to unplug the printer from the network to print via USB after correct installation.

    Hope that answers your questions.

  • Can LabVIEW control a device series (RS232) via a USB port on a Mac?

Using LabVIEW 6 and operation of G4 Mac OS 9, it was once possible to use a USB port for control and acquisition of data of a pH meter in our laboratory. Only, we used "Serial Port Init.vi" and wired to port #0, which referred to the USB port. We connected the connector DB9 to the pH meter to the Mac's USB port via a USB-to-DB9 adapter. LabVIEW 6 could then send commands to the pH meter and acquire pH values of him using the serial port, reading and writing icons. I try to do the same thing now using LabVIEW 8.6 on a Mac Pro OS 10.5.6 and leads nowhere. The simplicity of LabVIEW 6 is long gone, and it seems to be necessary to use VISA icons. When I write the vi using the icons series VISA, three potential serial ports appear to be available. However, the vi gives an error message, except when I choose a specific of these, ASRL2::INSTR, under the name of the resource, in which case the vi runs, but there is no communication with the pH meter. I can't understand what physical connector on the chassis Mac corresponds to ASRL2::INSTR, but it is does not seem to be the USB key. I tried to write the vi using the icons of VISA USB of LabVIEW, but which requires knowledge of USB communication protocols which is beyond the expertise of this chemist. So, I'm almost at a loss what to try next. I could buy a serial RS232 card to install in a PCI Express slot in the Mac, hoping that he will be recognized and can be resolved by using the icons series VISA. However, as it was once trivial to perform this task of communication via the Mac's USB port, it seems that it should not be necessary to buy another card. LabVIEW continues to become more and more complicated, and if she doesn't get any more improved, it may not work at all. I've been programming LabVIEW on Mac for almost ten years and she became gradually more frustrating. In any case, is - anyone out there fought USB / communication series battle on a new Mac and won? If now it is impossible, no matter which allowed to pass through a RS232 serial installed in a Mac Pro card? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Ken1,

I don't have a chance to see the USB-serial last night.  I'll make a note to try it again tonight.

Dennis is right.  You need to focus on the determination of what works or not in communications.  Look at the system information (Apple menu > about this Mac > more info...).  Then select the USB item in the list of the contents of the left column.  See if USB devices to look like they could be serial port emulators.  I don't remember exactly what they are called.  If the device doesn't appear like USB Raw, it probably means that no driver has been installed.  You can unplug the unit and see what are the changes.  This will tell you if the operating system sees the device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones problem change the language to send SMS on BB Curve 9300 3

    BlackBerry 9300 3

Does anyone know if there is a quick way to change the language of the keyboard? My laptop has in Arabic and English keyboard keys, but no Arab option on the phone with the language settings.

When I try to update the input languages to include Arabic via the desktop software, I get the following message:

"BlackBerry® Desktop Software Update could not validate your BlackBerry® device.

Aborting installation because of the failure of the validation. Some unsatisfied dependencies contained package. »

The only advice I found is to go into the Woods under ~ library on my Mac with OS X 10.6.8 which will display messages to applications that need to be uninstalled as they are third parties and can not be validated. This suggests the Blackberry Appworld should be uninstalled that I did, but still have the problem.

If anyone can help that would be great.

Also, I would be grateful if someone can confirm if Blackberry phones are supposed to be that mind? I just spent my eighth time on it, and I'm regretting ever having bought the phone. I made phone calls with it and sent the texts in English, but other than that nothing. I already have a phone that is equal to a tenth of the cost of that tape also in Arabic, which I think is pretty useless Blackberry in comparison.

I finally found a work around for this problem. I adapted the advice from the link here:

    http://forums.CrackBerry.com/Forum-F62/how-UN-brick-BlackBerry-Mac-336488/

In order to clarify that I was using a BB9300 3 G Curve, with BB OS 6, with the latest version of BB Desktop, running on a Mac Book Pro.

You must clean the phone and reinstall the operating system for phones in a way that eventually flashes the RAM on the phone, as it appears a large batch of phones were shipped with this bug.

Once invited to fix the phone, you must choose the oldest version of the operating system offered by the Repair Wizard. It will remove your personal and settings files that will need to be manually reinstalled.

    My steps were as follows:

FIRST OF ALL MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PHONE IS NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR MACHINE AND BLACKBERRY DESKTOP IS NOT RUNNING.

1 delete the versions of operating system stored on your Mac by going to ~Library/ApplicationSupport/BlackberryDesktop/DeviceApplications

    2. empty the Recycling / Bin of the "trash".

3 remove the battery from your Blackberry and then connect to your computer via a USB cable. The phone will display a battery with a red cross. The desktop software is expected to launch after that the phone is connected.

    4. you will be asked to repair or restart the phone. Opt for repair and you should be presented with different versions of earlier operating systems. He recommended the latest version for me, but in fact I found that I had to go straight to the first version of the operating system available which was OS5. Select this option and then start the download.

    5. I found that the phone has downloaded the whole software at once, but in the original notice it says that on the phone may need to be reconnected several times it falls, close and restart BB Desktop software every time. I found that it only happened when you try to install later versions of the operating system.

    6. halfway through the installation of the progress bar said "waiting for device commissioning. At this point, reinsert the battery.

    7. then wait that the phone restart which took more than 20 minutes for me.

    8. This should have completed the installation. Especially when the phone is installed with the OS5 he gave me an option to choose the input languages available on the phone and remove those unwanted. I received a message on BB Office recommends that upgraded the operating system 6, I did, and now works with the input languages.

Again, this work around is to:

http://forums.crackberry.com/forum-f62/how-un-brick-blackberry-mac-336488/ that I had to modify the steps that I pointed out in case it helps anyone in the future.
