BlackBerry Smartphones running on "location Service.

I'm trying to use Facebook on my mobile phone and be able to 'check in', as they call it.  Basically means that when I post will give my nearest location for example.  My phone tells me it can't because... "location service is disabled. Please activate in the Options of the terminal, location Services,"I studied all that I know not how, and no where have I found something on location Services.   Anyone know what this means and how I turn it on?  Thank you!!

  • Warranty blackBerry Smartphones! RIM repair service?

    Hello community,

I have a question about BlackBerry security or technical service. I bought my "BOLD" through eBay and I got a Bill also. As I see it when starting my "BOLD" is that the carrier is O2 Germany.

Now, the bars of money between the keyboard fell of and I want to sent my BB on BOARD for technical service. I Don t know if I still have warranty or not, but it doesn´t question I'd even pay for it if they can repair. I already talk to O2 and they only repair with the original of the invoice I Don t.

So my question is if there is a technical center in Germany where I can send my BB to and they look through it, if they can fix it or not and if it s possible how much it will cost.

I already looked on the web and the forum, but I can´t find a direct contact with the RIM.

    Anyone know?

    Thank you.

    Mike

Sorry, no you have a guarantee of purchase off eBay, unless the seller wants to justify the device.

Buy new and third-party sellers (sellers unauthorized, as private sales on eBay) does not include a manufacturer's warranty, I think understand.

You would be better out of touch with local smartphone repair center in the EU or the Germany, I don't know... a RIM service center it could be, I don't know.

I plugged my 8700 in the office, while the Inbox was archiving, by mistake.  Everything froze and I had to re - start the computer.  Since then, synchronize with my desktop is broken.  I get a message that says Run Time Error, then it gives the name of the file C: /... I remember my phone Blackberry software update is the other day - what is this might be a link, how can he know?

Please help - I don't want say yes incase I get all my entries duplicated in my new calendar (Yes, had this problem too).

Its possible that the service books have been updated with update and Desktop Manager is to see it as a new calendar.

If you say yes to the prompt new calendar, at worst, your BlackBerry could reproduce some calendar entries, but that can be easily resolved.

    Back up your BlackBerry

Follow KB10167 to clear the Calendar database

Re-sync and add back calendar entries.

    Hello.

I think I have an icon 'dead' for a New York Times app running in the background and I fear that it may eat his memory and battery power. When I hit ALT and escape keys at the same time: it shows itself as well as other normal BB applications; However, when I click on this icon of the New York TIMES, everything freezes and the only way out is to hit the call button of power off / end.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

On the Blackberry go to options, options, advanced applications.

See if the app is listed, do not click highlight and select Remove.

Make a traction battery as shown.

Let us know how it goes!

  • BlackBerry smartphones running 3rd party on memory card applications?

Just got my "BOLD" and started 3rd party download applications. They download fine, but during the installation I am not invited if I want to download to media card!  You want to tell me that the media card is ONLY for photos, video and music files?  I can not load or run applications on my press card?

Also, as I can see all the files of Desktop Manager, is there any type of file on the "BOLD" Explorer to see the files on my card?

    alfredjr wrote:

Correct as indicated. You cannot load the applications to run the press card.

You can open your media icon > menu > look for a go.

If you want advanced utlities filemanager, look among the many applications of third party file manager:

  • BlackBerry smartphones running the 8330 in London

I will be moving to London, England, my 8330 will work if I changed sim card or do I have to buy a new blackberry?

    Hello!

See the page on record of your model:

  • Problems of synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones: Run Time Error when MS Outlook is applied

I just got the Curve 8330 and recorded the telephone and e-mail. I had an older Blackberry and my outlook 2003 address book and calendar synced perfectly using Desktop Manager. I installed the latest version supplied on cd-rom with the curve and the installation was successful. I then tried to set up sync and tried to apply the synchronization with ms outlook and that's when the problem occurred.

    1. I opened the Desktop Manager and clicked on sync.

2 click on the albums configuration tab

    3. I then clicked on configure synchronization.

    4 selected address book

    5. the next page listed available desktop applications and I chose MS Outlook

    6 then I select the two-way synchronization

    7. after clicking Next, I get this ERROR of EXECUTION: section of the Application is not based on files.

I tried to uninstall the Office Director and reinstalled from the blackberry website. Still, I got the same message. Then I found the link below and concluded that there are ducts that connect the Outlook for Office Manager and for some reason, there is an error that is there. I did not quite understand how to solve the problem of the information provided on the troubleshooting link. I could not add the link that has been interrupted or lost by installing the new Manger of office. The link I found is below and I was wondering if there was a way to manually bind the office and Outlook. Please provide a way that novice computer person can implement.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Mangalore in India Service Center is pathetic

Today, I took my BlackBerry Curve 8900 to Hervé Communications in Mangalore, Karnataka, India (apparently, authorized Service Centre) to fix the trackball as suggested by BlackBerry.com.

They fix my TrackBall, but at the same time they have spoiled the whole body of my phone. The upper part, which has the mute and Lock, button has not been correctly set after repair, after they fixed that, they gave him two bumps, and when I complain about this, they say this is supposed to be like this (surprising, how I never noticed it in the past two years, looks like they force in fixed after I complained).

In addition, there are scratches on the body of the phone, as they forced to remove the cover in an amateur way. The phone feels rather delicate and loose now, as these Chinese phones cheap.

It's just to bring to the attention of the BlackBerry that this service of the centre is not yet barely up to the usual, BlackBerry brand.

    theblackhawk26 wrote:
I got a 1 year warranty, which ended last year.

I'm afraid that if your warranty has expired a year ago, it may not be much you can do, but to the SAV messed up your device, you should certainly consider with service center.

If you have a complaint to RIM about this, please see the CONTACT link at the bottom of this page for phone numbers. You do not want to contact the Service Desk customer and explain your problem.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access services of BIS (HELPP)

I bought the bb data service add on warm for £5 and rebooted my phone, as he said in the text of confirmation of 3 uk, but I still can access all services. When I go to the host routing table is empty and when I try to save, nothing happens. I contacted three and they said that I need to unlock the phone fully as it says when they try to register it is impossible to add phone as the imei and pin code BB is registered with another provider of services. Then, I contacted t-mobile, who said they couldn't help me. I ask for some advice and help please.

    My phone details are:

    BlackBerry Bold 9000

signal remains at-70dBm unless im on the web

  • BlackBerry Smartphone WiFi and Email Services

    Hello world.

I got my new Blackberry 8520 Curve unlocked yesterday, pay-as-you-go.

While I am able to connect to the internet via my router, can someone please tell me how to connect via the Services of Blackberry, as obviously connect to my router is not very useful abroad.

    Inanticipation thanks for your help

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

First of all, you must check with your service provider and to ensure that your account includes access to their Services for Internet BlackBerry (BIS)... If not, there will be no way to use these services. Quite often, the distribution accounts do not include this.

Good luck and let us know!
