  • BlackBerry Smartphones-box E-mail icon does not appear, but e-mail account is configured in fact

I have a problem with the icon on a Bold 9790 email box. This is the icon of the envelope with the blue turning the planet.

I have two email accounts configured in the Options-> e-mail accounts.

However, only one is displayed on the screen.

Who does not have the envelope-and-planet icon can receive messages in the global Messages menu, but it's confusing, because this mailbox emails mingle with calls, BBM and electronic messages in the Inbox mailbox on the other.

    How can I solve this?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Newbie question Outlook synchronization...

I know, I know you crackberry Masters must make fun of my basic question, but it drives me crazy.

I want to curve. I'll use it for personal and business email accounts. Work email is through MS Exchange. I can access my email using Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Our server does not have this fancy/expensive Blackberry Enterprise Software Solution.

Can I still sync my email to my Blackberry Wireless and untethered work? What are the downsides to not have the fancy software / expensive?

You'll be always my friend, if you can answer this fundamental question in simple terms.

    Hi anrobb!

You will be able to receive your email wireless without the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution (BES). You can use the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) to deliver your email. There are two ways this can be accomplished:

1-direct integration of your account Outlook Web Access (OWA). Here, you must create an BIS account and enter your information to OWA, such as the web address of the OWA server, your email address, mailbox name and password. BIS will use this information to analyze your mailbox for new messages at a time interval determined (basically every 15 minutes) and send it to all new mail he sees to your BlackBerry.

    2. create a hosted mailbox and set up a redirection rule. Most (if not all) carriers offer only a free hosted BlackBerry e-mail address when you have a BlackBerry plan. For example, a customer of Verizon could create an email [email protected]. E-mail messages that are sent to these hosted email addresses are pushed to the device, so they come almost in real time. Once you have set up, hosted email address you (or your IT staff) define a redirection rule in your mail server to forward a copy of all new messages to the hosted e-mail address. The next step would be to connect to your BIS account and modify the reply-to field to be your professional email address. This it will bring up that the emails sent from your BlackBerry come from your work email.

A difference in the use of the use of BIS on BES is that you cannot synchronize wireless your address book, calendar, notes and them tasks with BIS - you will need to connect to a computer. BES offers many other features as well, but I won't get it here.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphones RECEIVES the MAILS to FOLDERS other than Inbox

    Hello world

I have this problem that I'm trying to work around. On my yahoo mail, I've created rules for certain categories of emails coming. These rules to move messages that meet the criteria for folders that I created.

Now I have yahoo mail configured on my blackbery device but not to receive emails from other folders. All I get is emails that appear in my main Inbox folder.

Through the settings on my phone and can't find an option or a setting that can help me solve this problem.

    Ideas anyone?

    * I'm using BIS service

    Hello

using BIS, it's the processing order:
    1 your Y! mail server receives e-mails
2 your Y! mail server applies the rules
3 your Y! mail server sends messages from the Inbox to your server of BIS
4 your BIS server sends the emails to your BlackBerry smartphone

Therefore, there is no way to do what you want using Yahoo!.

I can suggest you see if it is possible to have the rules applied subsequently (I don't think it's possible with the electronic mail of Yahoo!).

If you want to automatically move messages into folders and have them on your device, you must use an e-mail provider that allows it. To this day, I know Microsoft Exchange can (in a corporate environment) and Google Mail (because the records are considered labels).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones default e-mail settings

I have the torch with two e-mail accounts.  One is Outlook Express and the other is web messaging software.  Both work very well except during synchronization.  Calendar items on the default value of the torch for the webmail and don't appear on the Outlook calendar syncing.  The opposite is also true (if I make a calendar entry in Outlook, it will not be synchronized in the calendar on the torch.  Contacts seem to find fine regardless of point of entry (office or torch).  Someone knows how to change the default e-mail from one to the other program?

"Outlook Express" is not an e-mail account, it is a visualization software project manager/email information. You must have some account connected to it, where Outlook Express downloads e-mail to your e-mail messaging server, whether it is a private domain email or hotmail, gmail, aol, etc.

Thus, understanding that... You must decide what your "default email" and your "default calendar" on BlackBerry... which of your two email accounts is the default value?

Set this choice options > device > advanced system settings > default Services.

  • Sync gmail contacts OK blackBerry Smartphones, but can not synchronize Emails

    Dear Blackberry community!

I recently changed my contract mobile and kept my professional Blackberry Curve 9300.

I managed to configure gmail and synchronize contacts & the order of the day, but I can't seem to synchronize emails.

It seems to me that the old configuration blocking private Email-addresses is still active, but I don't know where and how to change.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Of what you say, I read that you had BES enabled on your BB, you have separated from the company/what BES now, but your BB was not properly cleaned of it's political, that continues to limit the things. To remedy this, you perform a specific wiping of your BB as follows:

    1. First of all, review the link of my auto-sig about backups... this process will completely clean your BB and you have to start over.
    2. Once ready, follow this KB to clean your BB of the it policy:
      • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
    3. When / if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore, restore only those databases that are essential, especially to avoid those who have something to do with the company, BES, political, etc.. If you fail at this stage and all restore, you simply put it on your BB policy and be right where you started.

    Good luck!

  • Personal blackBerry Smartphones No. e-mail configuration option

I recently bought a Blackberry "BOLD" of AT & T, with a data plan.  I want to configure my gmail account, but the Personal Email Set Up option does not appear.  A configuration of Messaging Application appears under Advanced Options, but I can't understand how to activate it.

    Thanks, Brandon

Hi Brandon and welcome on the BlackBerry Forums

To create personal mail, you have two chances

1-go to the menu, configure, manage internet e-mail, and you can create the account from there, if for some reason you do not have the mail client staff icon call ATT Center and ask the service books create personal mail.

2 - Connect on the ATT web page with your user and password, go into manage blackberry messaging and you can create the account, after a few seconds, you receive a message with the account.

If you don't have the user account and the password for ATT customer call center and ask

  • BlackBerry Smartphones opening e-mail inbox when you open them on handheld

    Hello

What im trying to do is ensure that when I read an email on my phone IT REMAINS UNREAD in THE EMAIL box

I use Gmail to transfer everything on my handheld. but when I connect to gmail, I can't see what is new and not read, because when I open it on my phone it opens on gmail.

    Thank you!

lol, people begged and begged for this 'read' reconcile for years. Your the one who does not want it.

Open your Messages folder > press the Menu key > Options > screen Email reconciliation.

To the Wireless reconcile, set it to OFF.

Now, not to reconcile messages read and deleted from your device to the server.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Multiple e-mail account set up - is it possible

I have my yahoo account, sent to my Blackberry I did at first, but now I also want another account of electronic mail sent there as I run a small business. It is surely possible? Why I can not find how?

When I try to set up a new e-mail account, I get the answer that an account has already been created for this identification number.

I'm with vodafone and the United Kingdom.

    Thank you all!

BlackBerry Internet Service allows up to 10 staff to set up e-mail accounts.

You could contact your operator BlackBerry support with this so that they can see if somehow the PIN is having a problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones pop3 e-mail set up without BES, BIS, or data plan

I just bought an unlocked storm2 free and clear - no contract (upgraded from curve without data plan). I have continuous wi - fi, as my internet company offers me unlimited wi - fi access wherever I go in the USA, so my plan is to access my mail via a wi - fi connection.

Pop3 e-mail is established as possible without data plan, BIS or BES? Is there a 3rd party email application available for blackberry as well as for the pc where you can set up software left 3rd (ms outlook, ms express, etc.) for your email.

Now the only way I can verify that my email address is in you connecting to the internet via wi - fi and going to my Internet service provider's web site. It's a chore, but as I have to go through several steps before I can actually check my email.

Thank you. I just looked at gmail and I think it is the best solution right now for email via wi - fi. In fact, he let me do a pop3 e-mail, set up (or imap in option), so I'm good. I check emails fast.

Another option, I looked in must simply send my emails from MS Outlook to one of these email service based on the web (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc), but ultimately, gmail is the best option because of its pop3 / imap capabilities.

I've never heard of a carrier of the mobile operator named "rachel", you are sure to have that right in your profile?

So, for your question, you have the BlackBerry data Plan on your mobile operator "rachel" service?

If this isn't the case, you will need to call and subscribe to the BlackBerry data Plan.
