BlackBerry Smartphones syncing calendar on my Bold 9900 with PC in Windows 8

I can't sync my calendar manually either by wifi.  My e-mail work fine and synchronize. I use Windows Live Mail. When I try to synchronize manually I get a message titled "the Organizer on your computer applications are not supported" with another message saying check www.blackberry.com/desktops/docs/ for the list of supported applications.  This page no longer exists. My PC is a HP Pavilion 23, which came with Microsoft programs, so I can't really understand what goes wrong. Any suggestions please?

As for being picked quickly, I don't know.

As far as being able to synchronize your calendar on your phone, you must purchase a copy of Outlook and to use the available Hotmail connector or move your calendar to another service like Google that supports over-the-air synchronization.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If it doesn't boot properly, then you need to try Safe Mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

    • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

  • Turn off wireless sync blackBerry Smartphones / sync calendar

I have the BB 9650 with OS 6.0.  I tried to sync my calendar through my office of BB, but it does not work because it says that I need function Turn Off the Wireless Sync.  I tried to follow the instructions below as indicated, but after I click on Options, steps 3,4,5 and 6 are not available.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Help, please...

In the list of contacts, a calendar, the task list or memo list, press on the

    2. click on Options

    3. to synchronize the calendar entries, click a calendar.

4 change the Yes wireless synchronization field.

    5. press the menu key

    6. click on save

Thanks for your help, but I had the problem corrected 2 days ago.  I forgot to close this message.  I ended up calling Verizon, but they could not solve the problem either so they me transferred to the Helpdesk of the real RIM.  While helping me, RIM realized that it was a real problem that they had not addressed before.  They had me remove my battery while working their magic.  When I put the battery back in and turned my phone on the problem has been resolved... Finally!  And all it took was 1 hour and 15 minutes on the phone.

I tried your directions this morning, but even that has yet to appear on my phone.  But thanks again for trying.

  • BlackBerry smartphones I've broken my bold 9900... Or I?

    Hi all

I have just a message updated App world does so to do. It took an eternity to complete installation (not download it I was on wifi) anyway... When he places he said combined must restart... restart now... I hit Yes & now the handset displays the first page load blackberry. complete. appear the little clock timer directly in the upper right of the screen for 1-2 seconds and then restarts again. I have the soft reset, hard reset. everything removed. Still will not work just advice get the phone to load so I can link with PC & Restore?

    I fixed it! FINALLY!

You don't have to bother with all that stuff in safe mode (thanks for the idea if and very fast response)

It would seem that you can't do ANYTHING with the handset. you need to connect to the pc to bb software. I also think I got maybe a little lucky that there is a new update to the software that I currently have... This may not work for everyone but that's...

    Removed the battery.

    to connect to the PC

    Device - connect

You will get the pop up saying unable to connect to device blah blah blah... (Attempts to update)

    Click Update.

do the update until he tells you that he cannot continue as impossible to connect to the device.

    Insert the battery

keep hit try again (jump to the top of 3 more times for me)

It will complete the update of the software

Then combined loaded perfectly (but slowly)

And boom 9900 works again. A restoration needs well now, which is a pain.

I hope this helps someone. I was pulling my hair this question. RIM really needs to step it up, too many people having the same problems with not a lot of answers. Rate of return must be ridiculous for this one bug stupid oo

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Sync Outlook calendars with several "layers".

    Hello

I have several 'layer' in my calendar in Outlook as Holiday, private, office, etc... When I sync the calendar with my H/H, however not appear only the default calendar being sync. Is it possible to synchronize the other layers as well?  Thanks a bunch...

    Hello

The object is to get all records associated with a calendar, which can be synchronized with Outlook.

The default calendar is the calendar of the device, items synced to it will not correctly synchronize on the desktop.

    (1) delete your addresses of e-mail of the device.

    (2) use the link below to clear the Calendar database.

    (3) recreate the e-mail address you want to associate with your main calendar.

    4) go to default services and make sure that your email address for the main calendar is specified

in the CICAL and CMIME entries. Save it.

    (5) in the Office Manager, specify a one-way synchronization of Outlook to the device for the calendar only.

    (6) once successful, check the calendar of primary e-mail and make sure that all records are there.

    (7) run synchronization for each category separately until you have all the correct data on the BB.

    (8) recreate the second email address.

    (9) send service directories.

    (10) the BB has now all the calendar entries in the calendar main correct email, with no record in another.

    (11) on the PC, delete the intellisync folder and reconfigure the installer for normal 2 way sync.

  • Changed default Email/calendar blackBerry Smartphones; Sync wants to delete all appointments/events; Need of procedure

I'm changing my email address.  I want to change the default settings on my BB Storm so that it syncs with the new email/calendar in Outlook 2007.  There are 3 e-mail addresses and therefore 3 calendars showing in my BB.  Originally, I created an aol.com as the default value.  Now, I want to change to the new.  All of this is through Blackberry Internet Service through Verizon Wireless.

When I changed the default on the BB to the new address, the synchronization process wanted to remove all calendar entries that were introduced through the original e-mail/calendar.  I don't want to lose all those entries in my BB or in Outlook.

I need a procedure that will allow me to keep or to import all calendar entries, once I made the switch.

    Currently, the following conditions:

    Windows Vista 32 bit

    Outlook 2007

    By default the calendar/E-mail: ***@aol.com

I want to change default calendar *@rootbeertogo.com

I can't see clearly how to proceed.

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    4. open the calendar.

    6. press the BB button.

    7. Select Options in the menu list.

8 observe the colors that are selected for each of the email addresses that you use on your BB.

    9. you will then need to this information in order to know what are the events to remove.  They are color coded in your BB calendar device.

    10. you can choose different colors if you wish by selecting each address in turn.

    Now, to the Walkthrough:

    1. in the BB replace enamel favorite default one (other) for the two calendar and send here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Software v6.1.0 B38 (Multilanguage) - works in Windows 7 [64 Bit].

    A working solution!

I tried many links with the foregoing that other people have found and I have always come with the message "Desktop Manager is not working - Windows is looking for a solution."  Finally I found one that works without having to adjust all the settings on your PC or to uninstall other programs.

I am with O2 UK and done a search on Google for Blackberry Desktop Manager for O2 [try the same with the name of your own service provider].  After following a number of sites, I ended up on a page of RIM that I had not seen before which gave me a drop-down list of options for Windows and MAC OS and all handsets Blackberry Desktop Manager.  I clicked on the Windows operating system and got the attached link

It loaded OK and found and installed my Bold 9700.   I've set up and ran configuration 2 lanes and normal service resumed!

I recommend to download and use Revo Uninstaller, as it seems to give you a clean uninstall of programs, the registry keys and redundant files that any uninstall.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get my BB working with my company email

I rec'd this e-mail from the admin system of my business:

The reason why your blackberry is not turn on on our server is because it is not provisioned for the BES Service. To remedy this, please contact your cell phone provider and it adds this service. Once it is added, we will be able to activate your blackberry and sync your e-mail, contacts, tasks, memos, etc.

Do I have to call Sprint to get their support, or is there something I can do myself?  And if I have to call Sprint, what is the best number to call (if someone knows so I don't have to go through the entire menu).

If your company does NOT have the BES service account, you will need to subscribe to that of Sprint.
