BlackBerry Smartphones to block your number of CalledID

Hello:

A relatively new user of the 9000 "BOLD".

Is there a way to block my number to appear on the CallerID the person I'm composition?

On my old razor I could block on a per call basis.

I searched a framework as the "BOLD", but I couldn't find one.  Or can I just missed it completely.

Thank you

-d.

Got my own answer:

On the Blackberry, you can press the Green key, options, General options and select restrict identity just to be sure.

  • BlackBerry smartphones to block outgoing I.D. number?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm a total newb.  Is it possible to block my number for outgoing calls?  I just want to surprise someone on Christmas and do not want them to think it's me on their caller ID

    Thank you

No problem. In fact, click on your phone icon (or it can be called the calls list), or simply press the green phone button as if you wanted to make a phone call. Who will take you on the screen of your phone. Engage with my previous instructions.

  • Calls from my Blackberry "BOLD" blackBerry Smartphones are blocked and asks me to enter my 10 digit number

Whenever I try to call a number (LAN LINE) that has a block on unidentified callers, I get the message "the number you are calling does not accept unidentified calls... Please enter your 10-digit phone number"

The funny thing is that this problem has just started to happen.  A week ago, it was fine.  When I call a number that is not blocked, my number happens correctly on the caller ID but shows as not identified.  Sometimes, it comes under the name international.

Now, the funny is that if I put my SIM card in my Pearl, I can make calls without problem.

There are two settings on the "BOLD" under General options.  One is called 'restrict my identity"in this case, I have it set to NEVER.  I also tried NETWORK DETERMINED, but none of them make a difference.  The other setting is called 'Show My Number' and this is set to YES.

I talked to AT & T until I'm blue in the face.  They say that it is a problem with the phone and must be replaced.  I can hardly believe that.  I have a friend with the same phone and it has the same problem.

I saw a few discussions about this before in other forums, but never didn't see a solution to this problem.

It would be great to find a solution.  Oh and by the way.  Already tried to do a reset factory and a wipe of security on the phone.  No go.

This problem has now been fixed.  Calls always show from abroad, but they are blocked is no longer.

  • Setup of blackBerry Smartphone email and BBM number on 9780

    Hi all

Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

    For bbm:

I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

Please help, I don't want to empty this phone!

    Hello abhijit17

Well... How updated the OS using desktop software or OTA, OS update should not ask this question.

Meanwhile the first tip is to register your device with your corporate network, for more help see this KB:

    • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

After receiving the Registration message restart your device, then check again.

Try it and post back with the results.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Could the BBM Contacts... There are situations where those who are not properly saved with desktop software. Reference:

    • KB20554 How to back up and restore the BlackBerry Messenger contacts list

If you moved to BBM 7, then your BBM contacts are saved "the cloud" as part of your association ID BB to BBM.

Otherwise, you can compare the databases on your BB against what is contained in the backup file to determine exactly what is missing:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

You would need a 3rd party PC app to analyze and present you the backup file "readable" format to compare.

FYI - for all recommendations and backup processes, see for more information:

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but what is your current wallpaper?

You can't add more space on your home screen, because it is managed by the theme, not for yourself.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB support phone number?

Hi, I have just my BB 9900 week last of the RIM (not carrier) and it won't turn this morning, after a night of load.  The red light flashes (3 seconds for 15 seconds), tried to charge in different ways (wall, usb cable), pulled the battery during the charge and all not, nothing in help.

Seems that others have had this problem too, but not solutions.  I want to call someone, but don't know where to call.  Cannot call Rogers, they are probably not helping because the phone is directly of the RIM, so unblocked.

Know a number I can call?

Where did you buy the 9900 "directly from RIM"?

You have a store or link address?

RIM does not phone except through their support incident of pay...

  • BlackBerry smartphones to organize your music and podcasts.

    Greetings!

I need a multimedia application for my desktop which will allow me to organize the music and podcasts, and then transfer them on my 8350i. Currently, I use a Zune and its software, but want to start using the BB for convenience.

I am running Vista and apparently its incompatible with the Media Manager (spent all day with technical support, no response) I can drag and drop individual songs from the Explorer to the BB, but not playlists or albums.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! (if you haven't guessed, I know squat about computers, the non-technical answers would be most useful)

If your files are organized on your PC: with all the songs of an album, in a folder and playlist from the album in this folder then you can simply drag-and - drop whole album. Then the playlist will be recognized by the appliance.

Alternatively, you can use 'appl itunes' or 'windows media player' on your PC and then use BlackBerry Media Sync 2.0 on your PC, allowing you to synchronize the music between iTunes/WMP playlists and your multimedia Application on your BlackBerry.

    Media Sync is free.

  • BlackBerry smartphones to manage your other than a third party app memory with BB...

Maybe this was published may not.  After that I have that market, it seems my memory that BB works better.

    Under settings-> Options-> memory cleaning-> ENABLE Security Options of->.

After doing this, it seems to work better.  It also gives the possibility to choose and you want to clean the areas as well.

Give it a shot and see if it works for you.  If so, let everyone know on the subject.

I would say that this should be your first step in solving the problems of memory.

    Have a great day!

    Mike

FWIW - Here's the RIM KB which explains what is the cleaner memory:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB03862&SLIC...

The most widespread, that we find on this subject is that think that people memory erase cleaner on memory leaks and other issues... it is not. Only a good restart is known to lighten the effects of memory leaks.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB8900 'blocking' when you press the green phone button

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

First of all - regarding your hope that RIM will see your message - these forums are a chain of support to users, not a conduct of user-to-RIM.

Frontline for BB is, contractually, not provided by RIM, or volunteer on these forums. Companies and authorized resellers are responsible for the front line of official support to end users. It is possible to bypass your carrier and request direct assistance from the RIM, but this generates costs, since you are without your support contract with your carrier. The "Support & Services" tab to the top of the forum pages provide information on this subject. But, if you go through your carrier for support, they can degenerate into RIM without cost to you if they choose to.

So with this prelude to reset your expectations, there are a few things you can try...

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

You can also check your carriers BB OS download site to see if they have released a new device than what OS version you are running. You can find through this Portal:

Good luck and let us know!
