BlackBerry Smartphones unable to download BlackBerry® Desktop Software

I just bought a BB8800 who did not have the CD with it. I am trying to download the Destop Manager software, but the Desktop Manager 4.7.0 B50 English - with Media Manager is constantly interrupting after 20-30%, which was itself download very slowly. I'm on the desktop connection, which is a leased line, so there should be absolutely no problem with the speed. But the speed is the same as my home broadband.

First of all, I'm not sure if I download the right version. Then I need help to get it downloaded through "Download accelerator", which also, IE does not. It is not downloaded to through DAP on its own.

Pls help!

You cannot use DAP to download the desktop software.

I suggest you download the desktop without the Media Manager Manager. It will be smaller in size to download.

    Connect the device (opens Desktop Software again, shut it down.)

    Run JL_Cmder and select the option to wipe the device.

    The screen turns red and ask you to type blackberry to confirm.

    I have a new Blackberry Curve 8520. I tried to download the desktop software. First of all, I put the CD in the drive, but he has not read the desktop out of there software.   • BlackBerry Smartphones XP Pro on computer will not open Blackberry Desktop software

    I was unable to sync my BlackberryTour with Outlook 2010. We run XP Pro as operating system on the computer in question. Different versions of Blackberry Desktop software did not help. They will open the BB Desktop Software (Version 5.0) but will not sync to Outlook 2010 or the BB software charge apparently successfully, but does not open on the computer (Version 7.1). My husband says that he tried in vain all BB Office between the two versions. Any ideas of what to try?

    Well, my problem is solved, thanks to the Blackberry phone support Saturday night. I finally gave up my own and Verizon called and they hooked me up with the support of Blackberry, and the wonderful technician found my problem.

    While they inspected the specification more carefully, I had already realized that although the original desktop provided with my tour software open on my desk, it is not compatible with Outlook 2010. So, who was never going to work for synchronization. Therefore, I uninstalled and deleted this software version (5.0, I think?) of my computer.

    Yet once I downloaded Blackberry Desktop 7.1 software, and even once, it simply does not open on my desk. (I went through the download process, installation, uninstallation and removal and resettlement at least three times). He would always give me a message "installed successfully". But when I clicked on the icon on the desktop, it would show the small icon of hourglass for a fraction of a second, and then, nothing is more product.

    When I'm on the phone with Blackberry tech representative, she was beautiful. We have implemented a 'meeting' so that she could see my computer screen with me. She had me uninstall version 7.1 again, and re-upload it and re - install it while she could be sure it was done correctly, but of course we got the same result I had been do - it would not start.

    We looked around a few things, and then she had me click 'Properties' of the Blackberry Desktop 7.1 software (I think that it's where we were) and don't you know, somehow or another a checkbox was marked for the software running in a 'Windows 95 compatibility mode. Of course that WE have checked this box, we just re downloaded and installed the software.  So we unchecked the box, then the desktop software open immediately and perfectly and I was able to sync with Outlook 2010. How strange is that?

    I had decided that the problem SHOULD be something like a framework, because I did everything properly to download and install the software, and Blackberry says that it is compatible with Outlook 2010 and XP Pro, so it MUST have worked. But I didn't know where to look for incorrect setting and do not think I know if I saw him, necessarily.

    So Bravo for the technician to support for Blackberry phones and thank you, too, for your response.

    Recently I seem to get a continuous "Connection" message to BBDTS. Have you tried the following:

    -the latest version of the BBDTS software.

    -restarted the pc (Win7x64)

    -restart the blackberry

    -tried a different usb port

    Nothing has worked. It seems that the blackberry connects to the pc OK

    Any ideas on how to get a connection established

    In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

    Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

    My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.

    BB made many of us are unhappy with the unhappy choice of naming, they did when they grouped LINK and mix in one package. Appointing "Desktop Software" created redundancy and confusion with the old desktop software, and we all dealt with him since then.

    But, from one of the links on this page, what you will receive is a package called Desktop Software, but it is completely different from the package inherited the same name. When run you it, it will present a screen where you choose what exactly from the package you want to install... you can select/deselect link or mix right there.

    Need help please, can't find any other support BB contact.

    Downloaded BB Desktop Software on the laptop (Vista) and get screen saying device to connect. What connection BB Curve 9360 with USB cable, nothing happens in Charge only mode (as recommended by the help of BB). I have mass media ticked (as found on your forum).

    When you use the USB Mode, it opens the file manager with only access to some pictures of BB. When you try to media Mode it open Windows Media Player and messed up my photos on BB.

    Please let me know how to get the mobile BB Desktop Software to recognize my device BB Curve, so that I can get it backed up. Thank you very much.

    Option 1. Preform a traction battery on the BlackBerry.

    I have a new curve 9300 and you downloaded the desktop software. When my phone was put in place, I got the number transferred from my old phone. The software shows the # that came with the new phone - not the # transferred. Is it possible to change this? Or does it not really matter? Can't wait to hear from someone who can help

    I was just set up my BlackBerry Storm and I think I've found a fix for what you were talking about everything.

    Follow these simple instructions:

    1: go to options on your BlackBerry.

    2: then select Advanced Options.

    3: then go to SIM card.

    4: Press the Options button / (the button with the BlackBerry logo on it).

    5: and then select Edit SIM phone number.

    6: change the current phone number, then change to the correct number that transferred you.

    7: then just a case record.

    Certainly, it worked on my Storm 9500, so this should work if everything goes well on your Curve 9300.

    After you change the number you can then see in your at the top of the newspaper of dialing on the phone itself, and if you then plug it into your PC and run the Desktop software, then it should show the exact number that you just edited.

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac 2.3.0 Smartphones

    Recently, I made the mistake of upgrading to the latest version of the Desktop software for Mac 2.3.0 via a command prompt. I use an iMac running 10.5.8, that should be compatible, but the software crashes when as soon as I open it, if my Balckberry Curve 9330 is a hook up or not, the program is consistent that is unresponsive. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success, by a new download every time. This may be a moot point because I plan to return soon to a PC, but for now I'm on the Apple and irritated.

    You are right!! The problem is caused by older files to Blackberry Desktop Software DMG that exist in file download to the users and only users perform with OS 10.5.

    You will not be able to backup of the device with the app error 200 appearing.

    You should start your BlackBerry in Mode safe and remove all third-party apps or themes that you could add, starting with the most recent added, first of all.

    Then, on the BlackBerry, click Options > device > application management and remove these apps, you think that could be the culprit.

    Restart the BlackBerry again and see if the error app has disappeared.

    I have the 9530 storm model and wanted to install the blackberry desktop software provided with my phone.

    Cd works, I can start the installation off the power of the app.  But it does not complete the installation.

    I am running windows xp with service pack 3.

    What are the requirements of system for the desktop software?
