BlackBerry Smartphones View Cookies and temporary internet files

Two weeks ago, my girlfriend used my phone to access the Internet and find a pair of shoes she liked.  I've searched and searched and have no idea where I can find this information on my phone.  I think, at the very least, there are some temporary internet files that I'd be able to see and perhaps refine what she was watching.

In short, I would like to know if it is possible to examine the files generated from research conducted on the internet.  I hope I can amaze with the shoes, but I just have no idea how to access data from the browser on my phone.

Thanks in advance,

BT

    Hello

I am completely new to blackberry and quite confusing.  Let me apologize in advance, as it's long and this device is much more involved than anything I've had before.

When I get an email with an attachment (in this case, I myself sent a .doc file to test from a yahoo account) I get "the type of attachment cannot be viewed on the device.

I just received my BB Tour today and was able to set up the email fairly easily as it is on a POP3 server.

I activated the Go service Documents, it seems I have the Viewer (I followed the instructions to check another thread for the curve I think and he appeared in critical Applications, so I don't know if this applies in fact to the Tower, but I found what I think I'm supposed to have under options/applications configuration / advanced and then saw less 4.7 Core Applications under net_rim_bb_docview modules).

I tried to restart the unit, but no luck.  I installed the Desktop Manager and followed the instructions to install/update all.

So far, I have about 4 hours in this trying to read previous posts and the support site, which covers me.

Since I just got today, is it possible that there is some sort of shift?  I got an activation message that asked me to leave Messages on the server, I did, so I think I am activated I get by e-mail and can send.  But, once again, to this news, it's all a bit overwhelming and me thinking I should have already activated the data with my Motorola Q package.  I will continue to play with it, to see if something clicks.

Could someone direct me to a guide of type Blackberry 101 also?  I did find the manual very useful because I can not even find in it if I can set how often it checks for messages, or if there is a way I can put it to check every 5 minutes or only on request.  So, if someone can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful!  Also, need to update my Microsoft Outlook contacts list, but no luck learn how do that with success either.

I know that there is a lot in a single message, but thank you for indulging in a beginner.

    Thanks to bifocals!

I got it to work somehow, in actually button connections and mobile network options, and I ended up running a diagnostic test.  I found that by going to essentially every menu and submenu and hit bb button to see what other options he gave me.  He showed Activation of data Radio as No, and a whole bunch of strangers underneath, so I thought that something was not right with the connection somehow.  I turned all the connections off the coast, and then on again and ran another diagnosis and miraculously everything started working.  I knew I had another message for activation at this time, if something is obviously not the first time around.  It was the service books being returned because I disconnected then reconnected?

Thanks for all the other information in your response, I will study everything!

  • cleaning windows rigstry and temporary internet files

Hi guys * today im bought a new Professional edition ccleaner and it offer to a registry clean then advise you that while I have a bad history with Advanced systemcare?

Bad purchase.  Do NOT use Ccleaner.  It is likely to cause more problems.  In fact, don't NOT virtue but dire circumstances even mess with the registry.  It's simply too risky.

The software that promises to make your computer run better is more often than not more a threat than a help.  Leave your computer alone.  Windows will look after itself fairly well.  It is highly unlikely that all of your efforts to make it work better will never produce a meaningful result.

Windows 7 has a lot of what he needs to take care of your system.  You need a product high quality Antivirus and nothing else at all claiming to make your computer safe or more safe.

There is no doubt that the best and the most effective protection is your good judgment.  Well, think about where you go on the web and think thrice before you ever click on a download button.  Almost anything free will carry with it a lot of unwanted software are more likely to be malicious.

There is AN anti-malware product that I do not recommend.  It's ADWcleaner https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

It's a free scanner that you download and run occasionally.  It is not an all-the-moment program execution.

Choose your antivirus product with care and know about them:

Now, this is a controversial subject, but your choice of AV software may be something you want to take a 2nd look.  I suggest you visit this website to get an idea of what AV software made the best work, depending on what type of user you are: http://www.av-comparatives.org/ is a non-profit that has been around for a long time and I hope that their results.

When you interpret these results, remember the difference between a product that detects 95% and the other 99% of infections, it is actually 5 times more likely to allow an infection.

I care about 140 Windows PCs and I have more than 13 years.  Until last September, the only AV software that I would allow my clients to use was Norton Antivirus.  Note that this is not the same as any other product, Norton 360 or Internet Security.

Last September, Symantec (Norton owner) decided to no longer sell such a product.  After much research, I decided on Bitdefender Antivirus 2015 +.  I installed it on more than half of these PC so far and has never been a problem.  In fact, I think it's a better product than even Norton.  One of the things I love the most about it, is the silence and discretion.  It is also cheap.

My customers know that if they install any product of 'Internet Security', I won't work on their computers until it is deleted.  Very well, I learned the hard way that the other components of these products (other than the AV itself) IS caused more problems than any profit that they bring and work primarily by stopping the Windows component that does a very good job of this particular task still.  My problem is that when I started to work on a computer with an IS on it, I could spend hours trying to diagnose the problem, only to find out that by taking the product of the IS, the problems have become much clearer and easier to solve.  I think that the product of the IS actually hides the problem.

As I said.  It is a controversial topic and you will find many different very strong opinions.  I know that mine is based on a fairly large sample over a long period, and are consumers of consumer type Windows.

Another thing you need to know: you can delete not entirely of most any AV software simply by using the standard uninstallation tool Windows 7.  Most of the majors also publishes a "removal tool" that gets the rest.  If you do not completely remove it, it will cause very hard to understand and diagnose problems.

  • After that I deleted all temporary files and cookies from my temporary Internet files files always show. Why?

I used to always go Documents Local Temporary Internet Files and delete everything, including cookies, and all would be deleted. But now I still at least 20 files always there, with which I can't delete?  I go on the internet and go to tools and Internet Options and delete from there, but still the same files are left there?  Why? I use Microsoft Security Essentials, and they say no virus or any problem what so ever, then why. I checked with an Anti Virus program but they don't always say no Virus.  Why are these files, and when I look at them, I know where they are, but know not why they stay on my computer. ???

    Hi JudyWilliamson,

Some of the temporary internet files cannot be deleted because it will run in the background with the internet.

You can leave these files because it will harm your computer.

    Hope the helps of information.
Please post back and we do know.

  • What is the meaning of 'temporary internet file' and how can I find particular cookie or file belongs to the particular website?

    Please answer

    Hello

Thanks for the display of the query to the Microsoft Community. I will certainly help you to find the answer to your query.

The folder Temporary Internet Files (or cache) is used by Windows Internet Explorer and MSN Explorer to store the contents of the Web page on the hard drive of the computer for a quick consultation. This cache permits Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer download only content that has changed since you last time a Web page, rather than download all content of every time that the page is displayed.

You can also read the article and check if it helps. Here is another article on the temporary internet files.

Hope that information was useful and let us know if you need help in the future about Windows. We will be happy to help you.

  • Can't see hidden files to delete in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\William\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

C:\Documents and Settings\William\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder there are more than 135,000 files; nearly 2,000 cases and close to 3 GB of data. These files do not display and I can't remove them by deleting temporary Internet files. When I try to see the files to help to locate hidden files, only three very small files appear. How can I delete these files? Can I delete the folder and create a new one?

    William

You can also enter your options Internet Explorer (via Control Panel), on the general tab, in the browsing history, there should be a settings button, once there, you should be able to select Show files in the temporary Internet files section.  Who will open the file for you and you can do CTRL + A (select all), and then delete.

Some of the files in the folder may be used, and if they are in use, you will not be able to remove them.  You will need to know what is their use, cannot be used, then delete them.

One of my programs (Adobe Acrobat) converted into Word and saved a file which was sent by e-mail me here: c:\myname (or User\myname) \App Data\Local\Microsoft\WIndows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\T492AS72.  Not only can I not find it I can not even find c:\myname (or User\myname) \App Data\Local\Microsoft\WIndows\Temporary Internet Files.  I checked, to be sure, that show hidden files is checked.  What the hell is happening?  How a file can be saved in a folder that can not be found?

Since you are using check Adobe Acrobat with Adobe Support and Forums as they

You can erase all the data navigation via settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site (which will remove cookies as well)

Or you can remove individual websites via settings > Safari > advanced > Web site data (Edit Delete up button to the right, or by scanning/drag across a line straight to the left to reveal a button to his right)
