BlackBerry Smartphones where is the icon of my browser?

I just bought a storm... There is no browser on the screen icon. I can get on the ' net via the HELP... but no icon. I called the Verizon store that sold it to me. I was told that there a problem with the BlackBerry now... that the icon are not displayed to the top. They told me that they didn't really know what the fix was. Does anyone have info or ideas?

Hello

If you used the menu button to display hidden and looked in each file:

First of all, send a message from pin to pin. If you receive your data plan is in place.

If you are not someone pulled the plug.

If you have received it, go to options, advanced options and click host Routing Tables. Highlight (do NOT click on)

menu key select sign up now. Wait for the activation message. Go to configuration of e-mail and send service directories.

Make sure you get one for each e-mail account. Then:

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones disappear when the icons/folders/data of low power - how to recover?

I bought a "BOLD" 6 days - my first smartphone - there to replace a 4 year old Nokia.

The installer went well and I associated with several e-mail accounts in the phone.  All the seemend very well until this afternoon when the battery power has fallen sharply, low power icon came and then the screen went white and locked upward.  The phone was on but just sitting on my desk, when he does this.  The phone wouldn't stop or anything once the screen went white.  I plugged in the charger and it is now loaded.

However, many of the icons on the home page and expanded home page disappeared - messages, all messaging files, browser, call log, etc.  I can't find them anywhere.  In addition, all the e-mail settings for the 4 accounts that have been implemented have disappeared as are all of the messages that had been saved.

Backups of the messages so I am not concerned to retrieve their content in the phone itself.  However, how can I get the icons back so that I can access the features of the phone?  This is a common occurrence when the battery is low?  Everything seems to happen 40% white screen in 3 hours during which the phone was not on active service in terms of excessive electricity consumption.

I can't find anything to help in the guide of the user or the site.  Thanks for your comments.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where is the stock of RIM (No Carrier) OS for Blackberry 8300?

Every time someone asks how to reload Blackberry OS, the GET directed to this website: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp which contains all the operating systems for different carriers who sold blackberries. Upstairs, he says that this is for people who didn't buy their phone DIRECTLY from RIM, with no dependence of the carrier. So, where's the stock, no carrier OS if I want to reload my Blackberry that I bought from the RIM, directly and without SIM card?

I have a Blackberry 8300, if you were wondering.

You can use ONE of these versions of the operating system of your device, regardless of the carrier.

Operating system device provided are "released" by specific carriers once that they are certified and trained to their support technicians, but still, you are able to load any carrier the same model by following the instructions below.

See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." (You might have another Vendor.xml file hiding on your computer.) Open Windows Explorer, and in organizing key (on Windows 7, there are similar tools for Vista and XP) click on 'folder and search options. On the display tab, make sure that your computer is configured to display the hidden files and folders. Once you have done this, look for your drive C:\ "Vendor.xml".)
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    * Starting with later versions of the OS6, there are now three copies of the SELLER. XML
    C:\Program Files\Fichiers Research In Motion\AppLoader (for 32-bit Windows XP/Vista/7)
    ==========OR============
    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader (for 64-bit Windows Vista/7)
    C:\Documents and Settings\ * name * \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    C:\Documents and Settings\ * name * \Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
You can also just search of the SELLER. XML. ensure that you choose the ADVANCED SEARCH and include hidden files. It should display the file in three places. Delete all copies that it finds.

Note: Some users may be concerned they will void their warranty of device by loading an OS from another carrier. There is really nothing to fear. Please read more information about it here: http://www.port3101.org/power-users/296-blackberry-os-upgrade-including-betas-myths-dispelled.html

  • Funny blackBerry smartphones? mark the icons on the home screen.

I downloaded a few applications and a theme now all most of my records of the home screen is no longer in their original folders. He now is '? (Question mark) symbols as icons home for music, for example. I can not even find the media folder or replace files in their original files.my device crashes whenever I try to open some of these applications in '? Folders.pliz help

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

    Now, are the icons ok?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where is complete icon list?

There is an icon on my site that I can't identify. I tried to ask "what icon means" Blackberry help prompt and got a partial list of some of the icons, but the one on my home page is not listed. I see on this forum there are hundreds of "that this icon means" questions. You must be a joke! Are there really no complete list available?

BTW, the icon in question is a head blue and shoulders with 2 red shapes to the right. Impossible to tell what they are supposed to be. Maybe the concentric arcs.

    TIA

Problem solved. This icon indicates a voice message left on my external voicemail. No message indicator in blackberry being given that the message has already been retrieved, but it was neither deleted nor recorded on foreign service.

Still would like to see shortened easy to registrations of the icon. Now seems to have been Blackberry basics.

You can move any icon in the home screen, press menu, go to the icn that you want to move and press menu, and you have the cahnace move to the right, left, up and down.

If you want to move any icon into any folder, do the same thing and you have the chance to go to the home screen.

  • Request for information/blackBerry Smartphones: where is the address book/contacts stored in the BB Torch 9800

Hello everyone, could someone tell me where exactly is the address book / contacts stored by default in the BB Torch 9800, IE; in memory of mobile phone, the SIM card (I don't think) or in the micro SD card card (multimedia card)? Thanks a lot for your answers. Best regards, Eric

More precisely in the device memory. Not in the media card or the SIM card.

It is where they are stored by default and cannot be changed.

You can save contacts to your SIM card, but only one number per name, no address, no email address, etc.

  • BlackBerry smartphones WHERE is the function of 'new' 4.5 HTML e-mail? !

I've updated my AT & 8120 T with 4.5 via the download page RIM for AT & T devices. He installed and maintained very well. I read on the page of BB/RIM about 4.5 it is supposed to actually, FINALLY, have display html email now... Well, I'm here for you say... No... always the same view html not horrible to my incoming emails. I looked through all the options of e-mail and don't see anything turn on html either.

Guess it's back to the use of Empower.

    WHERE is this promised novelty?

PS - I love how all the other 'new' stuff like ID music and Streaming music costs $, when things like this were free on the iPhone forever now.

That's where.   First, you will need to return your service books.  Secondly, in the messaging options, under e-mail settings you should now see "Enable HTML email" select Yes.

What is already in your Inbox will always be like it was before, but with reference to your new service books email will be in HTML.  Only downside is that you need to go in the menu once you are in the email and select 'get the picture' or 'get images '.

    Hope this helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where is the zoom?

When I want to take a picture. I find now that I can't Zoom in. The bottom of the screen shows 1 x and the flash icon, but when trying to scroll up the 1 x does not change to x 2 and x 3 as it used to. When I press the menu button I don't see help, full-screen images, Options, video camera, switching Applications, close. Zoom is not available. I think remember me that 1 x and 2 x, 3 x and zoom were available when I bought the phone. Any ideas?

Try a phone reset by removing the battery for 30 seconds and replace (when the phone is still on) and see if that helps

    See you soon
