BlackBerry Storm Smartphone keyboard does not

So here's my problem: my keypad does not work. When I push a number nothing happens. The works of 0 and when I hold down the 1 goes to voicemail. When he goes to voicemail, however, where the numbers should be there are letters. If I have someone in my contacts, I can call but I can't dial their number. Everything else on the phone works. Email, SMS and browser all work to them. It is only the most basic function that will not work. I called Verizon and they helped me to restore and then an update, but that did not help. I went to the Verizon store and they said that all they can do is a clean cloth and restoration, the same thing I did over the phone. I then took it to Cell Phone Repair (CPR). They said that they have never seen him. And if they have ever seen, then it must be really screwed. Help, please!

Hello

I assume that you have already performed a traction battery without effect, correct? If this is the case, then I'll recommend a more radical action.

First of all, start by saving the information on the device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and then disconnect your phone from your computer. Then, download and install the operating system on your computer from here: http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/download.aspx.

Once you have your operating system installed on your computer, download and install a program called BBSAK from http://bbsak.org. After installing the program, plug your phone and open BBSAK. When you are prompted, type your BlackBerry password (if you do not have a password, just press ok). The PIN of your BlackBerry should then display to BBSAK. At this point, click Wipe Device. This will delete all data and the operating system of your phone and must leave an error 507 on your phone. Then, click Load OS. Now, this will open the file from the BlackBerry charger that allows you to reload the OS of your storm. Just follow the steps and then once your storm has restarted, you can open the BlackBerry Desktop Software, and restore your data. If you want to be really sure, just do a selective restore of the info that you need (messages, contacts, calendar, etc.). That you will protect, just in case the problem is in part due to a bad database.

You should now be back running. If not, let me know, but if it's a software related issue, this should solve the problem.  As a final note, this will remove also all your third party apps, you'll then need to re-download those.  If you can, however, delay on that until you know for some that the problem has disappeared.

In Blackberry Messenger, the keyboard does not appear on the Storm 2. When you are in a group discussion or individual cats the keyboard does not appear when you click inside the text box or choose to see the keyboard in the menu.  I heard this from a few other people I know who have the Storm 2. It's very frustrating. Help, please!

This is a bug in the operating system used on and is a problem known to be corrected.

While in a group conversation, click to start a new Chat and the keyboard is displayed. You cannot use the existing cat. This is the workaround.

But you do whenever you want to get into this cat.

Meanwhile, I know, it was fixed has yet to release. Be patient, or downgrade your OS for now.

I deleted just 'error 102 JVM"my storm and now the keyboard is not displayed. I tried popping the battery while it is on, I also tried to attribute the convenince key to display the virtual keyboard and it does not work.

lol, he likes to go to the doctor and saying "doctor!" I'm hurt! "But I don't remember where!

    You have two choices:

Do not forget the name of the file and place the file using this process.

Reinstall your operating system to your BlackBerry.

See the link below to download it, and here is the simple installation instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Storm my computer does not recognize my PIN code

My computer does not recognize my Blackberry Storm when it is connected. Recently, I've updated the software on my phone to 4.7. The desktop software was still in 4.3. On Sunday, I connected the phone to my computer, and it was the beginning of my question. I uninstalled the software from my PC. Then I reinstalled the software updated since the BB site. But I still have the same question. I see an icon at the bottom right of my window that says: "Device disconnected", while in the box PIN number it says, 'NONE '. I don't know if the problem is with the USB cable. When it is connected to my phone, the phone is in charging mode.

Any advice on what to do?

Most of the time a simple battery pull will correct this problem.

Try to do a battery pull... Remove the battery with device 'ON' wait 20-30 seconds and replace the battery, wait for the device to restart (reboot may take up to 2 minuets)

Mine will also do what you explain and a battery pull will clear up right ir.

A kind person recently broke my window of the car and took my 8330.

I regularly synced my old phone using Desktop Manager.

Switch device Wizard wants my old 8330 connected to synchronize new 8330.

Of course, I don't have the old 8330.

    So good news.

Connect your current device to the USB > PC.

    Open Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced.

You should see the IPD backup on the left pane information and the information of the current device in the right pane.

If the left pane does not, above this window, choose file > Open and navigate to this known IPD file. Load it.

Now, you can choose one by one or all THE items in the list to transfer to the new device. Highlight each database you moved to the new device and click the right arrow environment to move these data.

Follow the prompts which if ensuits and you'll be good.

  • BlackBerry smartphone keyboard does not

    Hello

My Blackberry will not respond to any of the keys of the phone. Can I get access using the touch screen, but all the keys do not work including the lock screen, call and hang up. They worked very well and there is no update, so I have a feeling that I need to replace this phone.

If anyone has any other suggestions to try then it would be most appreciated.

    Thank you.

I suspect that it is damage from moisture (on the keyboard).

If what John above works, great, if not... This looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a countertop bath during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause problems with keyboard and trackball up to this JUST-withered. Really, it is more common than you think.
1 the battery immediately! Do not turn on your BlackBerry device.
    2. allow the device to dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days * (see below)
    3. DO NOT "check it every day" by placing the battery in. Leave what would to dry completely. It takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can damage only (humidity + power = disaster).
    4. If the unit is hot after the drying period, let it cool to room temperature before placing the battery in the.

Suggestions on your BlackBerry in a warm dry place (open, with battery):
    * Place the BB in a container of rice uncooked dry, and then you can also place it in one of the locations mentioned below.
    * On top of any heat dry emitting electronic components: TV or CRT, LCD, TV cable box / Satellite or plasma monitor
    * On the dashboard of your car on a day sunny

Oh, sry has completely forgotten this post...

Well, I managed to solve this problem, the Solution was, that I had to add the

    ButtonField.CONSUME_CLICK

property to the Style of field button, like this:

    ButtonField Button1 = new ButtonField("Button that consumes Click",ButtonField.CONSUME_Click);
    add(Button1);

    Thanks for your replies anyway.

  • BlackBerry 9300 Smartphone trackball does not

does anyone have a miracle solution?  Thank you

    Hi stevenb_50

You can try a clean OS reload to see if that helps but first make a backup of your device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software then refer to this Knowledge Base:

KB11320  : How to perform a reload of the own software BlackBerry Device using BlackBerry desktop software for windows.

If above method fails, then you will need to contact your carrier or Service provider and replace the Trackpad might solve the problem.

Update 3-STL100 wife of 10.2.1 to 10.3.1 Z10 using Knowyou with sources of Bell, it runs 10.3.1.1865 | OS:. 2708 | Radio:.2709 now.

Keyboard has suddenly stopped working. I tried the things:

Soft Reboot, Hard Reboot, Hub restarts, change keyboard settings to ignore words with numbers, remove facebook, twitter and linkedin and apps accounts. Nothing helps.

There are other Autoloaders available on CrackBerry. I recommend to find the newest 10.3.1, you can find and use that one. If it were me, I would use this one:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trackpad and keyboard does not.

Hello. I have a Curve 8520, I got it almost a year ago. Yesterday, an APP ERROR 523 appeared on my screen, and I discovered that an application crashed. So I tried to improve my OS from 4 to 5. He succeeded, but I couldn't scroll press OK. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard does not work well, because when I pressed the home button my BB does not show the home screen, instead, it shows me my directory. Please help me with my problem, suggestions are appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the community!

From what you describe, I would recommend a clean OS reload.

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for each model. Please use those as a reference as you go along.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    • KB19915 How to perform a clean reload of the smartphone BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software application software

You can also get the BBSAK (BBSAK.ORG) utility and use it to completely erase your BB (the result will be a 507) and then properly reload your operating system.

Good luck and let us know!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

What did you do to solve the problem so far?

    Tried the basic battery pull?

    Thank you

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.
