  I am currently working on the webworks app and then I compiled the app on Mac environtment. My application get not problem with the compilation of the process, but it does not start on a real device.

• WebWorks app broken after update of the PlayBook 1.0.5

  I just installed 1.0.5 last of the PlayBook updated software and my WebWorks app has stopped working. The app was transferred to unit using the mode of development and worked fine before the update. At the launch of the app, the app would freeze in a black screen.

  I've tried tinkering with config.xml and rebuilt the application several times. The problem would not go away. I even tried to create a minimal WebWorks with a Hello app world index.html, and this minimum app does not work either.

  Any contributions to this issue would be much appreciated!

• Unable to connect to any URL with the "WindowsUpdate" string in it, on any server. Again maybe virus?

  OK, some background on me, just to avoid some types of questions: I'm not an expert in huge windows, but I use it as my office like a bit of a user with power for 10 years, and I've been a professional Unix administrator since almost 15 years; I'm paid to know my way around computers.

  Computer of my nephew, I work remotely via TeamViewer, knows a problem really incredibly strange.  No matter what the URL with "WindowsUpdate" or similar to get connection reset by peer, in IE and FireFox, and apparently in Windows Update too because he can't actually update anything.

  So fine, virus; Well, Yes, there has been a lot of virus, but they are all had: S & D of Spybot, AdAware and Avast all say that it is clean.  The last time I ran TrendMicro Housecall it crashed, but I saw him more than halfway done and he had not found anything like that or the other.

  It cannot be something simple as a parameter of weird registry or hosts file entry, because it is sensitive to the context and occurs with any server.

  Let me explain: when he started to arrive, I thought it was a Windows Update problem specifically. If it is not; This computer can't see http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&tid=fb0ddab0-e9a0-4edc-b3ea-144ff14190b3&cat=&lang=&cr=&sloc=&m=1&p=1, for example, in a browser, apparently because of this "windowsupdate" in there...  But I didn't know that I went and grabbed a update WindowsUpdate manually, and pasted on my server.

  It's when things are weird; It's my server, it has nothing to do with MS, and it serves many users every day very well.

  On my nephew's computer, I get connection reset by peer for this:

  but NOT the same exact zip file renamed, like this:

  I assure you, that these two last URL points to exactly the same data (the .exe in a zip file above).

  So the problem seems to actually be URL with the text "windowsupdate" in them, which seems like it should be a piece running of malware to apply, or something like that, but... really doesn't seem like it.

  Normally, I'd just like to fix it, but this case is so bizarre that I think that I really want to figure it out, too.  Maybe it's the sign of a new virus or something?

  I ran into the same issue and finally I was able to remedy. I used ComboFix utility, you can find it here . He found only one problem in my system associated with dmio.sys.

  Here's the line of the log file:

  Infected copy of c:\windows\system32\drivers\dmio.sys was found and disinfected

  And now everything works as expected

  My update of 10.3.1.1565 sali writing entry to the top on my phone.  so I tried the downgrade to 10.2.1 to do all my files are gone, however I thought I was smart by making this morning during the execution of 10.3.1.1565 a full backup before attempting the downgrade to os 10.2.1 through BlackBerry Link

  In any case I had to restore my device to 10.3.1.1565 and now when I try to do a restore by using the .bbb (backup) I created to present IE get the following error message:

  BlackBerry 10 data is not compatible with the version of the software of the device you are currently using

  versions of the software on my phone now and the version of the software when I did my backup are exactly the same 10.3.1.1565.  I am able to restore my user files and applications ect, because it proposes to make a partial restoration,., but my contacts and don't forget files are now gone.  I NEED THEM.  How can I get that back...

  I thought about it.  so I thought I'd post.  Apparently the BlackBerry pulled the 10.3.1.1565 update.  Anway don't know what happened over butI usng Shenshi and grabbing an update of another carrier, after that, so I'm now able to do a full restore using my old BBB file.

  Hello

  They should be able to execute it, it took Java Web Start, which was part of the installation of the JRE from version 1.4
  If you go into control panel - java then java Control Panel click the java tab, under the JNLP section click the button show, if everything is correctly installed, it should show the versions and whether they are enabled or not.

  If they are enabled, then JNLP should work automatically, you may need to reinstall the JRE.

  OK, so I deleted Facebook yesterday with the idea to reinstall later. He played a few times to the top and said: I can't reinstall it because I can restore it as it is in my archives. Whenever I try to restore it, he'd go to reinstall... in any case, I got rid of Facebook from my archives (after a few tries, to connect it to my computer and do it like that) so I will reinstall by click on reinstall, but that's the problem... Once it has downloaded, it will install again and this message is constantly "There was a problem during installation" I click OK and it is always uninstalled! It is VERY frustrating!

• Problem connecting to the server by using the url with the logical name!

  Hi all!

  I looked for information on this subject, but have not seem to found a solution.

  I'm developing a Smartphone application that needs to connect to a server to retrieve data. Then I use a direct connection with the correct settings (I hope):

  URL = "url of the server" + "deviceside:true" + "AFN:...» »

  The problem is that the connection should be done without Hardcoding the "apn". These are the tests I've done so far (assuming I'm always add the ' deviceside: true ' parameter):

  URL (logical name) + AFN OK!
  FAILURE of the URL (logical name)
  URL (static IP) OK!

  * by logical name, I mean a url as www.google.com

  What I need is to use the logical name, without the parameter apn!  Maybe I'm missing another parameter that I don't know?

  Some additional info that might be useful! :

  -The server is a server of Vodafone, which, as has been explained to me, should be on the list of white of the RIM (not sure what that means, but I guess it has to do with the fact that BB connection through the RIM at one point servers, and be in this list gives a sort of 'privilege' when you browse servers of RIM) , and I don't know it is publicly accessible as (see following)

  -An android version of the application works fine without Hardcoding the AFN and using the logical name (I guess it has to do with the RIM servers!)

  Any help or ideas towards the solution that it is greatly appreciated!  If I'm missing some info that you think I should add! Please tell me!

  I could solve it by looking at the code of the alternative of the Api network in the link sent you me!

  The solution was the addition of the ConnectionUID parameter to the url String!  as to why this solves the problem I still don't understand it! (If you can enlighten me with the reason, I would be very grateful)

  This value is found in the service books!, I have the zip code just in case it helps someone!

  I'm sure this has been asked before, and I hate to be the guy who never had a blackberry and a question that has been asked a million times, but I can't figure it out and my ISP (virgin mobile), is not being very the problem. All I want to do is to download the software to my PC, so I can transfer songs from my hard drive to my Blackberry and similar functions. I followed the steps one blackberry software page and then come to a point where it asks me to choose what software I want. Now, I'm not very computer any help at all would be greatly appreciated.   Wireless calendar synchronization is available only for BES users at this point, so if you or your business to work with a Blackberry Enterprise / Professional Server, then you will have sync wireless real-time.

  However, if you use the BIS service, you can only synchronize with Blackberry Desktop Manager with your PC.

  Ok... I'm still trying to understand why BB does not settings IMAP be settled and have got no where a solution.

  ....  I understand that redirector might work.  However, I do not have any software 'redirect' available on the CD provided with the phone (or the Desktop Manager).  I have a few very simple questions:

  -Redirector Will work with only an MS Outlook client?

  - Or do I have Exchange?

  -Must have the BES as well?

  -Redirector should be on the disk?  If not, why?

  -All recent versions of the redirector will work with the storm?
