BlackBerry Z10 drag upward with answering machine

Y at - it a simple and fast way for handup/disconnect from an incoming call without answering and then hit the button to hang up.

You don't want to take a call, do not have the phone on silent. You want to disconnect and let go to the virtual machine.

Hello kevingets,

Thank you for your question on how to send a call to voicemail for your smartphone BlackBerry Z10.

You can do this by pressing the name of the appellant on an incoming call (a thin red icon should appear on the top) and slide it toward the top. The call will go to voicemail if activated service.

Let us know if that helps.

  • OfficeJet 6835: Connection printer/fax to the single telephone line with answering machine and DSL router

I change my current 2 lines phone/fax with answering machine setup and router DSL to a single line.  I have the right instructions HP and all the necessary parts and wiring diagrams, but I can't determine which of the now used phone cords is 'special' one provided in the box with your printer.  Instructions for the installation of a line saying I should use this cord between the DSL filter and the 1-line port on the printer for reliable fax.

How can I identify this original HP cord?  And, in case I can't, what makes it "special"?

    Hi @Atlantico,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request.

I understand that you change the way that your fax is installed on your HP Officejet Pro 6835 e-all-in-one printer and you want to be able to identify the phone cord supplied with the printer. I would like to help.

Usually the phone cord supplied with the printer is black and a 2-wire telephone cord. There are basically 2 types of telephone cords, 2-wire or 4-wire. cords 2 telephone wires are the most basic phone cords and because the fax was built around the analog telephone systems, this is the type of cord they suggest to use.

You can identify a phone cord of 2 sons looking at the end of the connector that you plug into the phone jack. Please see the attached diagram below.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • Can send but cannot receive faxes on HP Laserjet on Mac 10.9 Mavericks with answering machine TAM

I have an iMac running OS 10.9 (Mavericks) and a machine to print/scan/fax all-in-one HP Laserjet Professional M1212nf MFP connected by USB.  I have a phone with answering machine connected system.

I can send faxes of the HP and the Mac (using the pdf fax).  What I can't do, is to receive faxes on the HP (I know that the Mac cannot receive faxes with this machine).  I tried all the combinations of parameters without result even unplug the phone/answering machine without result.

Any ideas what I need the settings?

    Hi ChuckStewart,

It is definitely a head scratcher! I found some additional information from the following link, you use a product of Fax HP with a telephone answering machine (TAM).

I found this interesting presentation text, when recording the outgoing message on your TAM, share of voice must be at least 10 seconds of time, but not more than 20 seconds . Save 5-7 seconds of silence at the end of the vocal part of your outgoing message (message coming out would be your voice message length plus the extra 5 to 7 seconds of recorded silence ).

I wonder if you might find something useful in the document.

Please let me know. Thank you.

  • Photosmart C7280: question of installation on fax to PC with answering machine on the same phone line

I have an answering machine on the phone line that would be used for incoming faxes. The guidance address how fax to PC using the phone line at all. How do you put up? Do you need a distinctive number of the ring, or you can use the same phone number as the fixed line? The answering machine will pick up faxes?

    Hi @MSS1,

Thank you for reaching out to the forums! I understand that you are having problems of fax. I'd love to help you.

It's not like you can fax it to the PC with the software for this model. You would have to send and receive faxes from the printer.

This document provides steps for not being able to fax and it also provides information for the connection to the fax: can't send or receive faxes. Do not take into account the title.

I have provided the user manual of the printer to set up the fax, beginning on page 62: Photosmart C7280.

Here is a document to receive faxes: receipt of the Fax.

If the problem is resolved and you appreciate my help, please click on the "accept as Solution" and the buttons 'Thumbs Up'. Let me know how make you out. See you soon!

  • Install with answering machine

I am considering buying a HP 1212nf MFP printer, but I need to know if I can connect to a phone line and can continue to use my machine. I remember that a previous HP printer had this ability. Is my VOIP phone line. I looked through all what I canfind on the printer, but now answer my question.

Yes, you should be able to. Do not forget to connect the answering machine to EXT2 on the back of the printer and telephone cord int INT1.

IF you have a double ring or triple for your incoming faxes you must configure the printer to answer the specific rings (all, double, triple, or double and triple)

WARNING: VOIP (voice over IP) aka (digital phone lines) may cause problems while sending and receiving fax. You can reduce the speed to slow and stop ECM (error correction mode) to help with he problem.  Fax is an old technology. It was created in 1843 and later completely introduced in 1881 and has been modernized, as speed increases as recently as 1998. When we introduce old technology (fax) with new technologies (VOIP) it does not work always.  Only printers I know that work on VOIP can cause a service called Efax. Currently you can find the list of printers than efax support at this link

  • Using all-in-one with answering machine

I have an office jet pro 8600 and love it.  However, I would like to know if it is possible to use the fax without having to connect to my machine.  I would use the printer and the answering machine in two different areas.  Is this possible?

    Hello

The answer to your question is YES.
    Listed below are two ways...

#1: having a dedicated fax line.
#2: subscribe to a distinctive ring by calling your carrier telephone and even on the printer menu Telec.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Outlook synchronization with link

It's my 5th Blackberry, I thought I knew what I was doing here, but nope. I have link BB 1.1.1.32 and 10.1.1.2019 OS and do not have Outlook to synchronize with link. My first 4 Blackberries was just a matter of plugging and pressing sync. With the Z10, I keep trying and can't seem to synchronize. It is very important to me that I need to sync my contacts, calendar and tasks every day to stay on the right path. I got on the phone since March, and I'm close to throwing in the towell and using upgrade for my wife to get a different brand phone that will be synchronized. I like the phone otherwise, but it's a deal breaker. Any suggestions to get it to work?

I found this article, but do not know if this matches your problem.  Are there more in detail with the error message you get when you try to synchronize?

Every now and then my BlackBerry z10 comes up with the message "your account login information (Yahoo!) - has changed or is incorrect." ' Update your login information and try again "sometimes it is true, most times it is not.

    Then do this...

Restart your Z10 now the power button on top edge in about 20 seconds, until the screen goes black and it starts a restart.

  • BlackBerry Z10 need to add a Signature to my text to comply with Bill C-28

Hi all.  I'm new to the Forum and would like to thank everyone in advance for any help that you can answer with.  I searched some topics before posting without much success.

Course coming July 1, 2014 Bill C-28 will start which requires all companies to include a link 'stop' of some kinds of all electronic devices.  I need to know how to add a signature with a 'stop' option to my text messages.  Yet once this isn't for the emails that I already put in place for that.  This is for TEXT Messaging.

So far, everywhere I looked States that Blackberry does not have this option.  Well, if they do not, they understand something quickly.  Apple and Andriods have.

Please if you have any suggestions that can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Again, I use a Blackberry Z10

    Thank you!

You know that Canada is not the only country in the world right.

So with these two points, put aside, I looked coming to 10.3 and could not see anything related to this in there, while the leaves is looking for a third-party application that would allow, I'd be surprised if there isn't at least one in BBW or.

    .. .and that's only for minimum spammers E-mail ,.

  • Situation Terrible Z10 blackBerry with Terminal device - BlackBerry Z10 STL-1

Hello. I have a great difficulty.

I'm a big fan of BB devices. Some time ago (about 1 month) I bought a BlackBerry Z10 new, sealed. The reliable eBay with "eBay Giving works" seller that is managed by PayPal Givinf Gund.

The only problem - is that I am living in countries that are NOT supported by BlackBerry at all. Belarus (Belarus). With my work, sometimes I leave (Russia, Poland, Germany) and I can activate my Z10.

In my country, all the 'usual' phone services works great, calls, internet with a local carrier, currently I use Velcom. But its suddenly yesterday morning, my phone has become "Device PIN Blocked.".

It's terrible, I don't even understand WHY? What is the mechanism of the use of BlackBerry, follow or do something else that blocks normal users?

OK, I understand that my country is not in the list. But I can't use m big phone, no worries. It works.

I use my phone not only in Belarus, I am an engineer in a large COMPUTER company and sometimes I go abroad, and I want to use my phone without this kind of stories.

I bought my phone from a seller 100% legal, which is supported by PayPal, which gives funds. I'm the one who opens a box sealed with the phone. I'm the only one who has used this phone at all. For the past two weeks, I use my Z10 with 2 SIM cards in a business trip.

And what now? The phone is locked.

Is this ok? Billion devices worldwide works very well even in those countries as my native - Belarus! But the only mystical problem related to the BlackBerry. There are hundreds of topics in internet with a similar problem.

I love you, BlackBerry, and I know that your position on this market. In situations where the actual users are denied and spit in the face by the company, the company was under the market. It's unacceptable, disrespectful and ugly!

I don't even know how to restore my phone. I need my phone back. Extremely.

I have all THE information on the seller, links, much, bills! I have an original box, I have ALL. And 'Device PIN blocked'.

This problem IS NOT related to my service provider. They don't even know about this kind of blocks. And it is a problem of BlackBerry.

I can provide more information on my phone. Please, I beg you.  I don't want to forget the BlackBerry.

    * Deleted *.

I restarted Factory Reset but created new BlackBerry ID and activated my phone with that ID, it seems to work now.
I don't know why and how. But it works. I hope it won't happened again.

Thank you all for the help and answers. I really appreciate that.
    Peace

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Receive faxes with a HP officejet pro 6830 w / answering machine

I had an OLD officejet model that could receive faxes even if the answering machine was not connected directly to the fax machine the 6830 manual says that it must be directly connected.  My current Brother printer does NOT receive faxes because of this problem.  Anyone know if I directly connect my machine to this model (Officejet 6830) to make it work?  I won't buy it if it will not work.

    Hello @JPJ408,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are looking to buy a printer all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 6830 for fax purposes. While the User Guide advise you to plug the answering machine directly on the back of the Officejet unit, it is not necessary.

If you have a fax with an answering machine on her line, the only requirement is that the fax is set to two rings higher than the answering machine. Most of the responders are put back on 4 rings. As a result, you would set your Officejet to automatically pick up on 6 rings. In this way, when a voice is heard, you can manually respond to the call before the answering machine to pick up. If you are not home and then people can still leave messages on your answering machine. If you have a fax to come through, do not respond. The answering machine will pick up after 4 rings. At this point the fax machine "listen" on answering machine message and if fax tones are detected, the fax will take over and receive the fax.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion.
