BlackBerry Z10 problem receiving SMS from some people

I don't receive SMS from my friend and my mother. I live in Central Europe and use Vodafone. My mother and a friend living in England and use Orange. I do not receive their SMS for me, but they receive mine. My wife also has Vodafone, but she receives the text Message from my mother. I get the other England SMS with no problems. Each operator claims the fault must be on the other side, but I don't think that one is to blame, because my wife receives TEXT messages on his phone Samsung with the same operator as I. I think that the problem must be my Z10 BB, but I can't find the question. I read on a forum that I have to do a security sweep, which I did, but it did not help. Anyone know what could be the problem and how can I solve this problem?

Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Give what you describe coupled with the actions you have already taken, I could deduce that the problem is not your device, but one of the carriers concerned. As such, you would have to persist with them.

However, another way to test would be to put your SIM in another device and see if you can receive SMS messages. If so, then you might want to deepen if your device has a COMPUTER policy on board... If not, it is possible that interferes with this feature. But, if this is the case and that you're on BES, then nothing you can do, but in order to talk to your BES admins. If you are not on BES and this is the case, then you will need to do a reset to ResetToFactory via the LINK.

Good luck and let us know!

This is not a fault BLackberry, when you send an email to the same address, the e-mail appears in the sent and Inbox on the Z10, it also gets sent to the computer.

  • BlackBerry Z10 RESTORING EMAILS & SMS from a BACKUP

Before I embark on an attempt to synchronize contacts from my boss about his Z10 using new long-awaited USB cable, I'm a little worried that this month of MAY just add another batch of the couple of thousands of contacts that I downloaded when we made the switch of the device, rather than updating them.

So I did a backup first.

However, I want to make sure that - the contact update goes horribly wrong! -the backup file has information in it, and I can't seem to find information on the link/site Web de BlackBerry on what contains the subdivisions listed under backup (Application data, media, settings).

What is someone is able to confirm that emails and texts would indeed be listed under one of these positions, and that it would be relatively simple to restore if needed?

    Thank you very much!

    Hey jjlothin,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

If you have created a full backup it will include contacts, messages, SMS and all settings and you'll have nothing to worry about if you need to do a restore

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    See you soon.

  • Texting blackBerry Z10 problems

For the last few days I couldn't see when I receive SMS from one of my contacts. I finished the 'cat', which is something I do quite often and he has never been one problem from another. I looked in the settings and nothing is different. Is there a way to fix this?

Locate the longer SMS son of 3-4 (normally 3-4 friends or family with whom you text the most) and remove these SMS threads.

Then do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Now, after the reboot, give him a few minutes to resync the data, and then try again.

  • Cannot receive incoming emails from some people

I send direct windows. My husband has his own email with me - it has an address and I have another. He can receive e-mail from people while I can't. Those that I know I can't receive is gmail and yahoo at least an email user. He just started about 1 month ago and worked very well for years.

I can send an email to everyone, but when some people try to send back to me, I did not receive it and they don't get a message that it was not distributed.

When I go to file, import... it gives me the option of the window or Microsoft Live Mail window Outlook Express 6 or windows. I don't know what to choose - or even sure this is the problem.

Any help would be appreciated. I called Microsoft and they told me to buy client WIndows for $109 - WIndows live has worked for us for many years - I would rather just what we currently set. Also - if anyone has a number to call for technical support - which would be appreciated. - Roxie

The problem is resolved. He has not been blocked in windows live, but it was blocked in time warner roadrunner even though when I called them two weeks ago, they told me everything was going well at their end and it wasn't a problem with roadrunner. Thanks for your help... Roxie

  • Cannot receive SMS from my Bank

    Hello

I am currentl living in Turkey and I seem to not have any solution for my pboblem.

My problem is that I can't receive SMS confirmation from my Bank (Garanti Bankası).

I spoke with apple support on my country 4 hours in which they have restarted my phone and everything but it has not solved the problem.

I also spoke with my support carrier (Turkcell) in which they told me that there is nothing wrong at their end.

In addition, I have also to send the phone to the appstore in which they have restarted the phone themselves.

Please advise me on what could be the problem?

I really need to be able to start using the internet banking, it's quite urgent, I need help ASAP! :/

Despite your operator say you otherwise - SMS is a function of carrier and the phone just makes it.

If you like - you can try an experiment where you put your SIM card in another phone if possible and see if you can get the text message

  • When my friends send me they emmidiately receive spam from some company Japanese camera. Anyone know what is happening? __

Whenever someone sends me they emmidiately got an e-mail from some company spam Japanese camera. Does anyone know whats going on?

    Hi gr8cad,

Thanks for posting. You can check the email address that your friend's mail to? This happens with some or all people? This occurs when your computer is turned on and off? You can check your email provider (i.e. hotmail.com att.com microsoft.com something like not using your full email address)?

What I would say, is to search for viruses, spyware and software malware.  I've included a few websites for utilities that you can use to analyze your computer against viruses and spyware. I would like to use more than one, none of the products, which include every viral infection.

  • BlackBerry Z10 searching through SMS on BlackBerry Q10

Research in text Messages on BlackBerry
Search criteria on Blackberry (curve, tourch and "BOLD"):
I can search by several criteria, such as:
Name: specify one or more contacts.
Message: type the text that the search should find in the body of messages.
for example: If SMS such as:
    Contact: John
Message: "sorry, I will be absent today.
I can look for to find out how many times absent John using this criteria "absent john" (John) contact and (absent) is the text in the body of the message.
    Search on Blackberry Z10 criteria:
I can use only one criterion (John) to retrieve all SMS john or (absent) to retrieve all SMS include (absent), if I use 2 criteria of the search will not retrieve any result.
What Blackberry Q10 research criteria? :
    Help, please.

Fine, but for me and my company, we can use the BlackBerry (10) without a full search of SMS.
