Blu Ray for DV7-6120tx

I have a HP DV7-6120tx, which comes with a stock disc optical standard DVD burner. I know that some other models in the range DV7 with Blu Ray writers. Is it possible to buy one of these drives and have it look good?

Hello

The optical drive first replacement in the list on Page 53 of your Maintenance & Service Guide seems to be a good choice, but I always recommend this confirming with HP when ordering the part.

Kind regards

I'd like to be able to play blu - ray, but I don't know how to to this topic or what would work for me. Can anyone give me any help? I'm also in the United Kingdom, so I don't know if this would affect any help.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your g6.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03094322.PDF

Chapter 3, page 28 provides the disc of Blue Ray supported with HP part number.

You can query your research for the part by the part number... Try eBay.

The part is no longer available at HP, so you find a place that they may have to sell.

    Hello

I don't think that there is a compatible Blu - Ray player for an AMD DV94XX or even AMD DV9XXX series laptops. Care for these series guides show than one compatible drive but just for Intel based mobile computers. In fact, you would use an external, but you need at least 512 MB of video RAM, so the integrated Nvidia 6150 cannot even manage it. The laptop is not able in its original configuration of Blu - Ray...

  • Drive Blu Ray for HPE-140F

I am looking for help to find and install a blu ray (game or R/W) drive in my HPE-140f.  Before I crack the case that I was looking to find info on the type of connection of the current drive to use, prefer an internal vs external USB 2.  I did install component PC before, but was hopingto find some information on the addition of components of this machine and the type of the specific interface for Blu Ray player

    Hello

The procedure to replace an existing optical drive or add an additional can be found on the following link.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01882216

If you replace the existing drive, just use the same power and Sata connections for the new Blu ray player.

If you add the Blu ray drive as an additional device, look for a free power connector is close to the one connected to your existing drive.  You will need to buy an additional sata cable to connect the additional drive to the motherboard.

    Kind regards

  • Drive Blu - ray for g62-455dx

I would like to replace my DVD drive internal stock (599062-001) with a Blu - ray player.  Partsurfer site does not list a Blu - ray drive for my computer laptop, g62-455dx, but I don't see Blu - ray discs for other models g62.  Specifically, I see the drive 599063-001 listed, but I don't know if it will work with my laptop.

Is drive compatibility just make to it the device physically fits in my laptop?  Or are there other requirements of the machine, such as the BIOS support or discrete video adapter?  I understand that I need software Blu - ray.

It's just a matter of physical compatibility. Even if you have the Intel HD video which is sufficient to support playback of Blu - Ray. Caveat that if you have a display of 1366 x 768 Blu-Rays looks not very different from DVDs. Windows will provide a generic driver optical drive to a very basic layer of the operating system that you want to mount as a volume and a function higher as DVD and Blu - Ray playback and burning disc is provided by Windows or third-party software.

As long as the drive is the right thickness (9.5 to 12 mm) and SATA (like all Blu - Ray players) it will slide into the hole and connect. You may need to Exchange facades to maintain perfect chassis and color coordination.

  • Burner Blu Ray for XPS 8700

I recently purchased an 8700 XPS.  It is equipped with a Blu Ray player driver, and I couldn't customize my to get a Blu Ray burner.  So now I'm ready to buy an internal Blu-Ray burner to add to my system.

I saw a Poineer unit that seems to be very high-spec - fast, with the latest features. The rate is $ 110 (USD).

Reference Dell has an offering that I should?

    Hi ColinM_Campbell,

Internal Blu - ray players that will fit in the 5.25 inch bays can be used with Dell XPS 8700. You try to call the team of spare parts for 18003723355 (US only) to check the options available for readers.

  • Still no solution for the export of chapter in H.264 Blu - ray for import again error markers

Why this fix did not place in the recent update of the ORGANIZATION 2014.2?

I always get the error in yet that I can import the movie with chapter markers.

Is still what it means that we can no more use for authoring DVDs or Blurays?

Really don't like the deletion of the reference to chapter file to do this.

The bug seems fixed for me.

First of all, I've updated only SOUL 2014.2. I exported directly from PR 20141 and, as expected, the xmpses file is incorrect and import failed in yet. Export using the queue (and thus clearly the SOUL), export shows a xmpses file has been corrected and importation to works again.

Then I updated to PR to 2014.2. Now, direct exports of the PR also works.

I don't have test PR update and no SOUL, and which could be a different result.

What are your versions of PR and SOUL?

Edit: could not resist. Restored SOUL 20141 with the PR yet updated to 2014.2. Direct export of the PR work.

don't think that you can get in the ultrabay slim pata format housing. You will need to get an external blu - ray drive usb if you want to support blu - ray.

  • Quad-layer Blu - ray writer info ask 2016-Jan

Hello, all. DVD burner becomes erratic on a 2009 24 "iMac (10.9.5), and this is another question (blow compressed air w drive, use a cleaning disc, he works for one or two of the data DVD then do not accept a blank DVD, re - clean and repeat; continues to read very well;) I take it in repairs...).

I wonder about a quad-layer Blu - ray burner. The much larger would be very useful for archiving (backup do not: "archive"). Go big!

But there seems to be a start yet, and I'm not finding a lot of them here and around.

There is a BE14NU40 of LG, but it says "Windows only".

There is an ASUS SBW-06D2X-U/BLK/G, Mac compatible 4/5 stars on Amazon, only 7 comments, 5 positive. $115 w tax CDN Newegg free shipping.

    Issues related to the:

    • recommendations for the material?
    • It seems that something would need additional software. Like what? The cost? Software recommendations?
    • Is quad-layer Blu - ray for data here to stay? These things are not readable by future readers? I think that the quad-layer disks ("BD - XL"?) are too expensive at the moment, but that will probably change.
    • Is something beyond Blu - ray on the verge? No need to get last year eqpt. for something, I hope to live with for a while.

    Thank you.

    Charles

Is there an OD right now? Ther repair lists one but the information is confusing read. If it is a key, it would seem to indicate you do not have an OD and not touch equipped with a reader of OD.

  • Drive BD - ROM does not recognize Blu - Ray discs

I bought a laptop computer to Leap Motion 17j-100 HP ENVY on measurement with discs Blu - Ray player a few months in the United States. I moved to India now with this laptop.

For the BD - ROM Bank, I set the region to region 5 (which I think also corresponds to region C Blu Ray) for the India.

I bought a few Blu Ray discs of the India itself - Bourne Legacy, birds, how to catch a thief.

It works great on Power DVD 12 cell phone comes pre-installed.

Recently, I installed updates and updated the Power DVD software on the Forum from the HP Support site.

I've updated all the drivers and there will be no more updates to install.

The drive plays Cds/DVDs very well. But he stopped playing Blu Rays. I thught it could be solved by using a different sofwatre like Corel Win DVD so I installed a version of 30-day track, but the same problem.

Basically, the BD - Rom drive did a few laps and then stops, say that there is no disk in drive F:

What can I do to make the Blu - Ray discs works again

    Thank you

Thank you MechPilot and a peer. I managed to solve the problem by buying the full version of Power DVD separately (Power DVD 14) (apparently the Win DVD trial version is not suitable for the capabilities of Blu - Ray). I guess it was a software problem after all
