Blue flashing pixel on my M40-107

Following problem. Come back just my Satellite and they replaced the motherboard. However the problem I've had from day one has not disappeared.
Whenever the laptop feels like it there is a blue pixel flashing somewhere in the middle of the screen. If you move the screen a little from before backward and the other direction, pixel went or it wil come back to. If you can see, it will be blue.
Is this really a dead pixel? But why it sometimes works? Is this just a bad cable?

:( I'm getting really depressed this laptop

Hello

Really, I can understand that you are concerned about this. I guess that this pixel is actually dead. I also found an article on this subject. If you want you can check under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/faq.jsp?service=EU&from=faq_selection&CFID=Display + - + Graphics & FID = TRO000000265d.

It is possible that this pixel will change depending on the background color.

Good luck!

  • Satellite M40-107: cannot re - install Powersaver - Code 0x7E

Recently, I had to re - install Windows Xp on my Satellite M40-107 (PSM40E). Everything went well. Finally, I wanted to install the powersaver and I downloaded the latest version for my machine from the Toshiba web site. Installation fine until I press the complete installation (kerncentrale).

A pop-up window appears with the message: fatal error, this programme will be completed. Code 0x7E.

After restarting the same message appears until the powersaver is removed from the Board to run.

    Hello

It seems that there is no general solution for this problem.
I found and read a few comments on the similar problem, and it seems that the Toshiba recovery CD installation will eliminate this error message popup.

  • Satellite S2450-202 - multicolored flashing pixels

    Hello world
I have big problems with my Satellite S2450-202.

Now it hangs whenever he feels like it, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after an hour.
When I turn it on it starts as normal and load my normal desktop page then without warning the screen freezes and I get multicolored flashing and the displacement of pixels which change to the smaller pixels white/gray/black, forming lines on the screen. If I leave it alone, it restarts finally saying that the computer is not stopped correctly and begins with the tool running and checking the status of the disks disk check to find errors, but do not find anything.
I have not loaded something new or changed settings, the laptop is now completely unusable as it is.
    Can someone help me?

I am running windows xp service pack 3
The notebook computer is a Pentium 4 2.80 ghz with 512 MB ram with 420 graphics from nvidia ge force.

This model of laptop must be 7 years old and I m did not ask something like this starts happening after so long.
It is not easy to say what the problem is here, but I guess it must be because of malfunctioning of the graphics card.
To verify this connect external screen to the laptop, desktop to external display only switch and check what is happening here. If the same thing happens again it's graphics card problem without a doubt.

  • Satellite M100-164, dosen't start, blue flashing light

Yesterday, after returning home from work, I played my favorite game World of warcraft. I was playing on the bed and I was too lazy to go and put it to load, so I went with the game running on the computer, I wake up the next day and of course the battery is exhausted, so I'll and load and I m in shock, he doesn t turn on and keeps a blue light on the first flashing LED , where it shows the if it is supported or not.

So whenever I press the power button, of course it will not connect. I tried to turn on without the battery, same problem and always blue light. Please, I would like an answer to this question, because I'm a pretty active raider and I urgently need my laptop game (this is displayed through my laptop to friends).

    Thanks in advance, Merlah

HM, doesn't sound good. Please, try the following:

Remove the battery and the AC of the machine and wait for a day. Then try to turn on, is it Wona´t turn on the first time try again (2-3) times. Try it with and without the battery.

Maybe it is blocking just somewhere. Otherwise I suggest you bring the machine to a technician/service center and let check your machine on some malfunctions of equipment.

  • Satellite M40-107 does not illuminate

Whenever I press the power button on my M40 turns yellow after a second or two. Then it turns blue and I hear the machine into action. But before I get something on the screen it already turns off. Someone had this problem on an M40? Is this all just "death"?

I must be the luckiest person in the world. I bought the machine a couple of weeks to replace a desktop computer that died on me.

    Hello

I think that sounds like a hardware failure. I recommend going to a Toshiba service partner.

Sorry I don't have more info.

  • Blue flashing

I have a 7520 HP printer all in one.  It works fine since I bought it about 8 months ago.  A few days ago the blue wireless light began to Flash.  It flashes for about 30 seconds, then becomes fixed.  After about 2 minutes, it will blink again.  I can always print it.  It just started a couple of days.  My printer is upstairs and the wireless router is downstairs.  How can I stop flashing light?

It is usually the router, unless the printer has failed.  However...

These settings are to set up your wireless printer can stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and make your router secure and hack proof.

    1. define a static in the printer IP address (click here) out of the DHCP of the router Beach (check your manual).

It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this

first of all if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here.

    2. check the printer "Auto Off" is disabled.  Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by going in the

the printers IP address in your browser's address bar, click Settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer

    Assistant, printer Home Page (EWS).

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    3. use a wireless channel fixed as 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.

4 choose the router to 20 Mhz only, or 145Mbps router function.

    5. always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode

6 disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hack into your

now the system and helps with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).

    7. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure you the SSID is NOT the same.

they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.

    8. save all settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.

    9. turn on the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.

    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.

    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

  • Blue flashing light

I know that a flashing green light tells me what an e-mail among other things. Now, since the update OS 4.0.3 I get a blue light flashing in more green light (not at the same time.) I don't know what it means that blue light flashes.

So far, I've seen two colored flashing lights. Green is random notifications (email, game apps) I only saw blue when it notified facebook (comments as far as I know)

  • HP photosmart 7520: printer does not print when lite blue flashes

I just noticed recently that my printer does not print blue wifi lite flashes when the icon of the printer on my computer says printer not connected, but it's all about.  Ive tried unpluging the router, then the printer and restart the computer that gets everything back up and working, but after a while it goes back to blinking and does not print what is wrong.

    Hello

Asuming the printer is connected wireless, a flashing blue light indicates a lost wifi connection, the pritner is disconnected from your network at the time and so it will not be printed.

I suggest to place the printer near the router, but not less than 2 metres. too far can cause the connection to become less stable, but also too close distance due to dead radio signal problems.

Try putting 2-3 meters to test, make sure you there are no metal objects in the path between the pritner and router (which can affect the wireless radio).
