  Page Multimedia Toshiba says it supports a high speed USB 2.0 ports and you can see from the photos on this page.

  I think it depends on the USB ports on the computer/laptop.
  The common standard USB should provide 500mA but this may be different and in this case the USB hard drives would not get enough power to operate correctly. In this case, you need a Y USB cable to connect an external USB HDD to two USB ports.

• HARD StorE alu2 unrecognized disc

  Hello

  Since a few days, my laptop does not recognize (or very rarely) my storE alu2 purchased less than 2 years ago. When I plug it the HARD drive for the most part turns on normally but it does not appear in 'My computer', or 'Device manager' screens. The few times that it is recognized, it disappears after a few seconds/minutes (randomly).

  Before it worked properly and didn't fall down or anything that could damage it.

  Can someone help me solve this problem? My OS is Vista.

  I really need to get some files and I have no idea what to do.

  You have the external 2.5 HARD drive or 3.5?
  Have you tried using different USB ports?

  Unfortunately in this case there is not a lot of options.

  Logical bad sectors normall can be restored and difficulty without losing existing data using some tools, but physical bad sectors is not repairable and his need to backup the data to prevent from losing

  As far as I know if you have a hardware problem you should contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer in your country.

• Win 7 Pro X 64; system does not recognize my Sata HDD Ext USB Powered clos

  Problem solved. In my case, the external hard drive was plugged in and powered and the external drive appeared in 'surely remove the material and the media', but does not appear in Windows Explorer. It was enough of a drive letter. Left click on start, Control Panel, administrative tools, COMPUTER MANAGEMENT, storage, MANAGEMENT OF DISKS.  A list of drives has been shown. Mine has no drive letter. I have a click right and select the simple volume on the dark line, and followed the instructions.

  Everything is normal and I already copied the files on it. Thank you all for your efforts and help.

  Why Flash.exe constantly written on my HDD main $LogFile? She does since the release of Flash Professional CC. At first, I thought it was a weird bug but a few months later and have just updated it still does it.

Don't really know the details, just know flash is not written directly to this file. The other file, it was written to was a file ".slc" in the folder "SLCache", so I've come to this folder and... Voila! Hard disk calms down, flash is more written it wrong, and I can use it again without fear of damaging my hardware

  TL; DR: Go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache and set the flash file is written in read-only. For me, it was 'OTI0MDg3MDM2Mjg3NTQ4ODc5NDY2ODU5.slc'.

  I have a persistant problem with my F50 - 12L screen, suddenly, the brightness of the screen/flashing / display flashes monte and down all of a sudden (it's not weak, it happens when I'm not working as well)

  When I start my laptop, everything is smooth and works very well, suddenly it start to blink/display brightness up and down and flashing seconds, then disappears and back to normal! I use the drivers the most recent and latest 2.2 bios and OS is win7 ultimate 32 bit.

  I took it twice for the authorized reseller/support here in Egypt who called El-Araby Toshiba: http://toshiba.elarabygroup.com, whenever they say nothing wrong with it! I check it before leaving and all is well, and I tell them it's happening all the time, it happens right in front of them (is it my fault? lol) and back to the House and test it, he can run for hours without blinking etc, but all of a sudden he started once again for a while and disappear and so on...

  I thought that this is a problem with the adapter, it also happens when I'm working on the battery, and I tried to remove the battery and work on the adapter directly (to check if there is nothing wrong with the battery) and it happened again.

  Also, I tried to change my power mode, I tried all: high perf, balanced & power save modes, it "s happens regardless of the mode that I use.

  I m no technician and it is not easy to create some opinion or give advice based on the description of your problem. It's always the best way to understand the problem to see exactly what is happening. What it looks like, how the laptop or screen responds.

  It will be interesting to know if the same happen when the laptop is connected to an external monitor only. If this is not the case, the problem described is probably associated with LCD or FL inverter (because of its strange, you can hear).
  Can you please test and send more information?

  I just got this modem used on eBay to set up a wireless system at my parents home.  Whenever I plug the ethernet cable from the modem cable (Brighthouse) directly to the router, he moaned not being able to find an internet connection.  I restored to factory default, but no matter what I change the internet contstantly flashes quickly.  The led 'link' to the cable modem blinking constantly as well, but it has no effect on the Internet when the router to jump.

  HM, doesn't sound good. Please, try the following:

  Remove the battery and the AC of the machine and wait for a day. Then try to turn on, is it Wona´t turn on the first time try again (2-3) times. Try it with and without the battery.

  Maybe it is blocking just somewhere. Otherwise I suggest you bring the machine to a technician/service center and let check your machine on some malfunctions of equipment.

• Blue flashing light

  I know that a flashing green light tells me what an e-mail among other things. Now, since the update OS 4.0.3 I get a blue light flashing in more green light (not at the same time.) I don't know what it means that blue light flashes.

  Thank you for the information.  Turning on my computer this morning, I received a message asking permission to remove some malware, permission was granted.  I did have more beep sounds or flashing lights so hope it was my problem.  I have printed information and record.  In case the problem should recur, I'll do the self-test memory.
