Bluetooth - HowTo detect if device is connected

I used bluetoothsppchat waterfalls sample to see how to deal with BT devices

can detect paired devices and the info on the remote control

only the thing missing:
How to get the signal if a device is connected / disconnected

should be possible because in paired devices settings color turns green if connected

reason: any test Z10 with keyboard and mouse Bluetooth and need a signal if the BT keyboard is connected

aready problems detected:

* BB10 ignores keyboard Layout (Mac / PC, QWERTZ / QWERTY /...)

Shortcuts not used if BT keyboard is connected

* BT mouse whee should do a zoom-in / out

to blog about my experiences and workarounds

got a reply:

There will be new events to report if peripheral is connected / disconnected.

also some solved problems

all available with 10.2

so I close this thread and will report when it works as expected

Meanwhile as workaround in my client application must manually switch power switch Bluetooth

(this will change the behavior of the KeyListeners - but it's another story coming soon ;-)

    Hello.

I am unable to get my Macbook pro to detect devices, that it has never been previously connected.

The Macbook pro is detectable by the Bluetooth devices, but I don't seem to have an option to be able to detect the client devices.

My macbook pro gives the possibility to be discoverable - mode client for example, I want to discover clients for example, speakers, headphones.

My bluetooth speakers or headphones work fine on my Ipad so I know the beat headphones works well.

The pro macbbook is detectable and I can connect by Ipad or phone for her, so I don't know the bluetooth on the Macbook works fine.

Once coupled display in the area of discovery - and can be connected to.

I think, basically, it means that the Macbook pro connects as a client - but I don't see an option to put in Server mode.

How can I do so that it looks non-paired devices - I use 10.11.5 (15F34) attempts to connect to the Beats headphones.

    I have reset PRAM etc.

I even tried plugging an external bluetooth USB adapter - this did not provide additional options.

  • HP Probook 430 G2: HP Probook 430 G2 - HW Bluetooth not detected on Device Manager

    Hello team HP,

I just bought HP Probook 430 G2 and using the Windows 7 Entriprise 64-bit SP1 operating system.

Why bluetooth HW is not detected in Device Manager, I know that this laptop has built-in bluetooth.

    Please kindly help.

    Thank you

    You are the very welcome.

You are right.  This wireless card has built in bluetooth.

See if this driver installation get the bluetooth to work.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_149791_1

If this is not the case, check the BIOS to see if there is a setting to turn bluetooth on or off.

If this isn't the case, install it and see if it detects the bluetooth radio and turn it on using the software.

Once you turn on the BT, you can either go to the use of the software or uninstall.

If none of the works above, I suggest that you contact HP technical support and submit a case under the guarantee pension, because I think that there is something wrong with the wireless card.

2 Select the device that is not working, and then click Remove.

    3. click on Add, press the reset button on the unit (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), check the box my device is set up and ready to be found and then click Next.

    4. If the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.

    5. follow the remaining instructions in the wizard.

    ·         Make sure that the device is on and that the batteries should be replaced.

  • Device ENET connect computer USB using NI GPIB-ENET/1000

    Hello

Currently, I am trying to connect to a controller PI E-712 has an ENET port on a windows 7.

I have a converter NI GPIB-ENET/1000 and a GPIB-USB-HS cable and want to use the ENET end for the controller and the GPIB for contact with the computer, but is it possible? Or does only for GPIB-devices of connection for calculating rusing ENET?

I have the drivers on my computer, namely the NEITHER-488. 2, IMAX can detect the GPIB connection and the cable has a light orange on the loan. Lights green ENET-converter for power, ready and the positions of the Act/LINK but nothing either of the GPIB for speak and listen to the lamps. When trying to connect, the computer does not see the device at all.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your adivce.

I am sure that tha the device does support ethernet. The problem is, however, that we cannot connect the ethernet to the computer itself. We do not actually use Labview but a program called DMACS, that's why we want to use GPIB on the end of the computer.

The NI GPIB-ENET/1000 will not work for you. It is an Ethernet to GPIB device. Your instrument is not a GPIB interface.

    I'm not familiar with DMACS.
