Bluetooth is no longer in Control Panel

I have used with success of bluetooth connection from my laptop into the past. Due to a hiccup once bluetooth, I used patch to get it working again. Now Bluetooth no longer appears in the control panel.

In Device Manager, we can see Bluetooth RFCOMM (driver is updated) and the driver USB Bluetooth. Both are activated.

When bluetooth is entered in the search panel, we see: Bluetooth information interchange, settings, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Manager (who doesn't) and Bluetooth Local com

Settings Bluetooth gives the message error "bluetooth is not ready."

Solves it do strange things in the registry...?

PS Yes, the hardware switch is turned on.

Hi shaw.

If you are using the Toshiba Bluetooth service, the MS Bluetooth service may not appear.

I do not have an available test Toshiba, but perhaps also nother forum member can confirm this.

You can also check with Toshiba to see if their OEM installation actually replaces the MS Bluetooth service.

    Hi thaw thaw,

Please use the Forum of the community for Vista.

You sure have a bluetooth connection built into your laptop?

You can try this, type bluetooth in the search bar above the ORB start. If the bluetooth file transfer shortcut appears, press on enter to launch it.

    I hope this helps.

  • I don't see Bluetooth devices anywhere on my control panel.

I have the Bluetooth software on my computer but when I want to set up it tells me to activate my Bluetooth devices. I went looking for him, but I couldn't find any option for Bluetooth devices in Control Panel at all. I looked at how to look, but I can't find it yet. I can't connect my device to the computer manually. Help, please!

    Hello

    1. do you have a Bluetooth adapter that is integrated into your computer? Or do you have plugged an external Bluetooth adapter?
    2. If so, is that you have installed the drivers for this card?

Before using any Bluetooth software to connect to a Bluetooth device, you must have the Bluetooth card on your computer hardware. If you have already connected to your computer check in the Device Manager on the status of this device.
Update the driver in Device Manager. When you do this, specify your third-party driver.
To update the driver in Device Manager, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box and then click OK.
    b. Locate the device.
    c. right click on the device, then click on set to update driver.
    d. follow the steps that appear on the screen in the Hardware Update Wizard to specify your third-party driver for the Bluetooth device.

  • No icon of Bluetooth device in the control panel of my Windows xp sp3

I can't install the bluetooth mobile phone because there is no Bluetooth device icon in the control panel. I use Windows xp sp3. Can someone tell me what I need to do?

    Hi naturalmente.

What is the number and the model of the device you are trying to connect?

Check the conditions below are true:

    1. If there are several Bluetooth devices connected to your computer, temporarily remove the devices you want to solve not. If there are other USB devices, try to remove all USB devices that you do not have to be installed during the troubleshooting process. If you have several devices that are connected using USB, this can interfere with a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver.

    2. check that the Bluetooth device that you want to solve is turned on and that it is enabled.

    3. check the status of the Bluetooth support service:

    a. to open the snap Microsoft Management Console (MMC) for Services in Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type services.msc and click OK.

    b. double-click the Bluetooth Support service.

    c. If the Bluetooth Support service is stopped, click Start.

    d. in the startup type list, click Automatic.

    e. click the log.

    f. click Local System account.

    g. click OK.

    h. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

    4. search for the parameters below:

    a. right click on the Bluetooth in the notification area icon and then click on view the Bluetooth settings.

    b. on the Options tab, click to select the discovery of the Tower on the checkbox and then click on apply.

    c. to enable Bluetooth devices to connect to your computer, click to select allow them Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer check box and then click OK.

  • Libretto U100 - missing and unable to connect to COM7 Bluetooth device control panel

I can't connect my laptop to my device. I want to "liberate" COM7 so that it appears available in Microsoft ActiveSync.

As expected by using support & on my laptop, she advises goto Bluetooth device control panel, but this software is not available in Control Panel. It seems to be missing.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Com7 is the Bluetooth COM port server It is necessary if you connect from a device to the computer for example for Active Sync connection with a mobile phone.
If you mentioned is not available. Then please check the following points:
-Enter the DeviceManager and check under "Ports" If a COM7 has been properly installed.
-Check if the COM Service is enabled in "Bluetooth Settings-> Options-> General-> Bluetooth COM port service"
-Set the security settings to 'Standard' at end of test if it is not already the case
-Do you have configured this COM7 already for another device? If so, just create an additional via Server Bluetooth COM port
"ControlPanel-> Bluetooth Local COM-> Add-> create a virtual Bluetooth COM port for a server-> now select a port COM for example COM8.
You configure the ActiveSync connection to the new COM port

  • Satellite A200-Windows vista-USB Bluetooth - control panel

    Hello

I have a Satellite A200. In my previous notebook, a laptop Toshiba-no, I used a Bluetooth USB with Windows XP I've worked perfectly.

In the Toshiba, with Windows Vista, I can't use it. I have not available section of the Bluetooth technology in the Control Panel, (the windows guide this option may be inside the material and audio control panel option) and I can not set up.

In the planet of control device manager, I have the Bluetooth, properly installed w.vista. The Bluetooth USB is SMC-BT10.

    What can I do?

    Thank you

As a first step you should check user s manual and check for what operating systems is the designed product. I am 100% sure, it may not work under Vista. Check it out!

By the way: the third party hardware and software use is not supported by Toshiba. If you have any problems contact support from the manufacturer.

  • Where can I find the bluetooth device on control panel of Windows XP?

I have a wireless printer not communicating with computer.  The directions said to go to the control panel and click on the bluetooth device, but I do not see a device on the control panel. Where can I find the bluetooth device?

One of reasons behind the first two questions of Vinod, is that not all computers have a Bluetooth built-in support.  Most modern laptops don't, but many computers to office, including the new ones, are not.

Do you know if your computer has Bluetooth support? If you don't know, what is the brand and model of your computer?

If you have a laptop computer, is turned on Bluetooth?  Many laptops have a (often Fn + F5) switch that turns radios (Bluetooth or wifi) on and outside.  Check with your computer user Guide.

Please answer 4th issue of Vinod as well (brand & model printer).
