"Bluetooth is not available.

Well... I learn a lot, I have to tackle this problem on mine, but could use some advice. Bear with me while I give little lead in information. I work in Alaska and a fall on the ice. In addition to the dislocated finger, I fell also on my backpack which contained my Macbook Pro (mid 2010, 15 "). The bottle of water in my backpack also emptied its content when I fell on it. The next day, on trying to start up my Mac, it wouldn't boot (folder view with? above). I removed the bottom cover to see if my RAM or hard drive connectors had been jarred loose, that's when I discovered a little water inside the housing in and around the hard drive. I dried and tried rebooting without result. I removed the hard drive and let it dry for 24 hours near the radiator in my room. From the start,... She came back to life, with my office and all the files intact. The only thing was the bluetooth icon in the menu bar at top, was blunt out and had a line in a zigzag through it. When you click on this simple unavailable says "Bluetooth." Bluetooth has also disappeared from the menu to system preferences dock (gears) and display System Information (Apple, upper left icon).

So long... long story... Google the issue and followed a couple of walking through the of with regard to the library (/ Library/Preferences /) and deleted the files of com.apple.bluetooth.plist, such as recommended, does not. Also passed through the stages of the reset MSC under the correction if the removal of the plist file didn't work,... and has also made a combination of these two steps. My bluetooth still shows as unavailable.

So... I checked the actual bluetooth/wifi card and all the cables were connected firmly where they should have been. I suspect that it is just a software glitch, then I started to suspect the material and now sorta stumped. I am able to use the WIFI with zero problems, so I'm reluctant to fault an antenna problem. Simple I can't SEE the machine on the side of the card wifi/bluetooth bluetooth. Is QUESTION 1 - possible that just the bluetooth card game gone wrong? QUESTION 2 - is this likely, although I get perfectly good WIFI reception? QUESTION 3 - did after all this sound like a software problem,... and reload the entire OS will be a possible solution.  My Mac what could prevent from seeing the appearance of the map, resulting from it being absent the bluetooth system preferences AND System Info?

Sorry for the long-winded tale, but more information is better than not enough. Thanks in advance for the help. PS Yes... I can easily replace the card and the part is inexpensive, but I wonder if it I would be spinning my wheels making.

I seriously doubt if the problem is software related (translate: autumn and the water broke something).

I take that diagnosis... but guess who your AK near an Apple store location.

In response to your question, I think you would be spinning your wheels if you replace something without a diagnosis first professional/test.

  • MacBook Bluetooth is not available.

Suddenly my MacBook 9.2 running El Capitan has a line winding through the bluetooth menu bar symbol, and when the cursor is clicked, it says Bluetooth is not available.  Tried to reset the SMC, by removing the Bluetooth plist file in the Library/preferences /, no joy.  That's happened this morning when turned on.

Try resetting the SMC again. If this does not help, bring it in to test.

  • "Bluetooth is not available" on every other restart

    Hi people,

I got 5K 27 "iMac and restored on it backup Time Capsule of my MacBook in order to have two as identical as possible systems (iCloud + Dropbox do wonders). 10.11.4 running (15E65).

In any case, what happens is that iMac that Bluetooth died at reboot. It says "Bluetooth is not available. However, if I can connect a regular USB mouse and restart the computer once again, on this second start Bluetooth will be OK.

So, naturally, I disconnect the USB mouse and continue working with Bluetooth devices.

But then, if I restart the computer, new Bluetooth is not available. Again, I must plug the USB mouse just so I could control the mouse pointer and reboot once again. And here again, this second restart Bluetooth comes back online. And that's how permanently, I can reproduce the situation without a flaw. Reboot > Bluetooth dies > plug the USB mouse > reboot > Bluetooth is back.

    What the *?

I tried SMC & PRAM reset, does not help.

I should try fresh reinstall OS? Because the only thing I can think is that I got the backup Time Capsule MBP is something strange to the system.

I have the same problem on the iMac even without the Time Capsule backup. I also tried a reset SMC/PRAM/Bluetooth.plist and will have no chance.

  • Driver Bluetooth not available on the Dell Support suite

Hello to everyone in the community,

I have this Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 for the last year and I am generally satisfied with his performance. I got Windows 7 Ultimate edition provided by my dealer and it worked well all round. I joined Dell Community a few months ago and downloaded and installed DELL QUICKSET from Dell Support site as an update. Before installing Quickset suite Bluetooth to my laptop would work fine, but after installing quick adjustment, it has stopped working. Without doubt, I disturbed the sequence

Recently, I installed a new copy of Windows 7 and follow the order appropriate for the installation of the driver. I couldn't find a driver Bluetooth of independent outside the BHS + WLAN driver on the dell support Web page. The laptop recognize the Bluetooth and Wireless LAN adapter but cannot start the two. I found the wireless LAN driver, but the driver now Bluetooth is not available on the official Dell support site. I tried online diagnostics and research on the Dell Support programs but could not find.

Can someone please give me the link on Bluetooth driver in the Dell Support Web site?

    Hi Junaid Shah,

Inspiron 15R N5110 goes hand in hand with a combo (Wi - Fi and Bluetooth) card and the drivers are not provided separately. You will need to download the driver of combo on the Dell site.

The drivers are downloadable at the link below.

  • "Unavailable" or any Bluetooth simply not there (Pavilion DV7-4180ea)

Dear members of the staff and forum,

I use a nine Pavilion DV7-4180ea (Windows 7 64-bit) that was given to me as a gift for a little less than a week, but since the beginning have not been able to get bluetooth. I can't find a solution on the internet - can't seem to find messages with the same problem. I may be missing something, but tried really hard.

    On the problem:

When you go to "My Bluetooth" through my computer, only a message that says "device radio Bluetooth is not available" appears. There is nothing that I can do here - all options are fuzzy on. Yet when we look at the State Assistant screen wireless HP for my "combo" Bluetooth and wireless component, bluetooth is shown as active and working properly, apparently. However, the Device Manager shows no bluetooth device installed, etc. - only show my wireless component. I don't know if the bluetooth device is supposed to be part of this or not.

Here is a screenshot to confirm the foregoing:

Can someone help me get my bluetooth work? Honestly, I tried everything I can think but cannot find of some sort or allow. HP said there, Windows says that it is not. What's not here?

Just to answer some predicted all first of solutions:

-The laptop is less than a week during use. It was as if this as a first step, if a system restore will not help.

-All experienced drivers have been updated and installed.

-The power (combined without wireless/bluetooth) is on.

-There is no BIOS no option to turn on/off bluetooth components, so nothing to configure, it.

    Thanks much, much in advance.

In Control Panel, uninstall completely drivers Ralink bluetooth on the computer and restart the laptop. Install the updated driver from here

  • Bluetooth network is not available

Been trying for a while to use AirDrop on my MacBook Pro (Version OS X El Capitan 10.11.6) and my iPhone 6 s more.

Just realized today that it might not work because the Bluetooth on the Pro does not work. With each device I try a pairing, it says that the network is not available and that I need to make sure that network access is enabled. Trying to do this, system preferences > network > Bluetooth PAN, I get the same message. I need you to ensure that network access is enabled.

Someone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?

Open system preferences > Bluetooth. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.

My bluetooth appears as 'not available '. I already ransacked the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and reset my smcand did a reset, but the problem remains. I own a macbook pro 13 "(early 2011) with el capitan installed 10.11.6 recently." Other features include:

Processor: Intel Core i5 to 2.3 GHz

    Memory: 16 GB at 1333 MHz DDR3

Storage: 512 GB SSD (360 GB available)

I checked my hardware and it says "none found information" under bluetooth.  I have never had problems bluetooth before and don't know if it's related to the installation of el capitan, but I know it worked before the upgrade.  I don't know when it has stopped working since the update.  Any help would be appreciated.

You'd better take a Genius Bar appointment or contact Apple support, they have a special utility that could detect the problem.

  • Satellite L750 - Bluetooth does not work after BIOS update

I am preparing some L750 notebooks for use and accept updates from the Toshiba, which included an upgrade of BIOS v1.70 for v2.00. He appears after this update occurs that Bluetooth no longer works, i.e. try to install Bluetooth Toshiba stack will fail as it is said that the Bluetooth radio is disabled and must be turned on for continue.

As the L750 (model PSK1WA-0C300R) is not a hardware switch to enable or disable the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, the only option available (Fn + F8) is unsuccessful. I ran a recovery of factory default installation and Bluetooth still does not - resumption of classes does not restore the BIOS to the previous version. I have 5 of the model and confirmed the update of the BIOS is the cause. Two laptops now have v2.00 and Bluetooth has been tested in the work before the update of the BIOS.

If Bluetooth is not critical for the environment which I deploy these notebooks, it's an annoyance I want to solve. My questions are: has anyone encounter the same problem and managed to resolve it? Is there a BIOS v1.70 available for download to restore the functionality? Y at - it an update of the BIOS > V2.00 for solve the problem I have? Thank you.

    Hi JasonL750,

Load default settings after updating the BIOS? Go into the BIOS, press the F9 key to load the default settings of the installation. Also, make sure that Bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS if there is such an option.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what happens if you use the FN + F8 key combination. Don't you see that he has an option to turn on Bluetooth and if so what happens if you do this?
