Bryllars, I had been wondering the same thing, then discovered that it is not possible to export/import the Bookmarks Toolbar - what is disappointing and a little counterintuitive - as my most used Favorites be saved to my toolbar!

So what I did was to create a "Copy from Bookmarks Toolbar" subfolder in my bookmarks folder, then copied my favourites from the toolbar in this subfolder. In this way, if I ever need to export/import my favorites I have saved toolbar bookmarks. I did have to do it again, but when / if it never happens, I just save them back to the toolbar again.

I just installed 7.0.1 (I can't call it an upgrade).
I can no longer see all the entries in my Bookmarks Toolbar for 2 reasons: -.
    1. It includes useless icons coming take place.
    2. There's a "Bookmarks" tab which I don't want, but can not remove. Simply place. I rarely, if ever, use bookmarks because I have everything I use in folders in the bookmarks toolbar.

  • Page my favorites; Choose from; Bookmark Toolbar - no list of bookmarks or folders

I use FF 40.0.1 with 10 windows and have a bookmarks bar in which there are records and addresses that are not in the files - (what I consider normal vision).

If I click left on "Bookmarks" in the Menu bar I see a list of all 100 bookmarks that I have saved over the years

If I choose 'show all Bookmaks' this list of 'Favorites' I show a list of URL 3. (No. 100 list bookmarks)

If I click with the right button on a web page and choose, ' Page Favorites/Bookmarks Menu / choice I am given a choice of "Bookmarks Toolbar" or "Menu bookmarks" If I choose "Bookmarks Toolbar" the url is placed in the toolbar immediately, does not give me a choice to use a "new folder" which is grayed out.

In addition, none of my files that are in the "Toolbar" is under "Bookmakrks Toolbar"

In conclusion, I cannot save the URL where I want in a toolbar folder, or see my 100 URL in the list of folders all kinds cannot administer the.

I have recently 'upgraded' to 10 Windows and find most if not all of the URLS are blurred and not to open the web page, but rather to open another in my favorites.

I can solve this problem, if I can get just FF works as it should and be able to administer my 100 URL.

I tried export URL of IE or a file, uninstall/reinstall FF, import URL from IE or a file, but still have this inability to manage URLS.

I am unable to avoid this complex question because I do not see how to select a relevant a screenshot to present.

There are three main folders of bookmarks and bookmarks can be created only in one of these folders and its subfolders.

    • The folder "Personal bar" stores the bookmarks that you see in the bookmarks toolbar (Firefox > Options or view > toolbars).
    • "Bookmarks Menu" file stores the bookmarks that display in the bookmarks menu and are created through ' bookmarks > bookmark this Page "or" bookmark this link "in the context menu.
    • The "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder stores created bookmarks by clicking on the star on the right end of the address bar.

Click the arrow to the far right (outside) of the folder field (not the arrow in the folder field, but one more on the right) in the window "Edit this bookmark" to access the complete file list.
The complete folder list also opens if you click on the marker to drop in the folder field, click on the item of "choose...". ».
The complete window has a button to create a "new folder" (look for a button "New folder" or a '+' in the folder list).
If files in the complete file list are not developed (i.e. are closed) then find one, perhaps faint, arrow icon develop (open) files.

  • How do I make the smaller address bar so I can get all my favorites next to her, thus avoiding the need for the bookmarks toolbar?

Feel free to ask away if I did not myself clear. We hope to get help quickly. BTW, like the browser.

You can try adding this code in the userChrome.css file.

  • Problems with showing bookmarks toolbar items / Rendering

    Greetings,

I think I met a little UI problem. I'd really like a bookmark that is placed on the same line as the address bar - it would be so convenient! But unfortunately it seems not be display correctly.

Customize mode, I tried dragging the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" in various places: before the back button, after the search box, among other buttons, etc.

It is placed properly in mode to customize, but after clicking on 'Customize output', the bookmarks toolbar items almost always are not displayed correctly. Sometimes I see a lot of emptiness with the narrow vertical button I can click for a drop-down list of my favorites, and sometimes I see is a bunch of blank period. Once and a while if I play with the order in which I move and add buttons to the top bar, I can get the bookmarks toolbar items to render correctly for a bit, but he soon pips again.

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("https://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #nav-bar-customization-target > #personal-bookmarks { -moz-box-flex:1 !important; }

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor like Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in the folder chrome (file name is case sensitive)
    • Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window
    • Make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
    • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css.
Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file
  • Bookmark toolbar folders show empty drop down box

Basically since the last update, about half of the time when I try to open one of the folders on my bookmarks toolbar, it will show a drop translucent drop-down rather than show the bookmarks in that folder. You can always click where none of those bookmarks would be if they showed and they will take you to the appropriate site. My only way to get around this is to keep clicking on and off the record until they appear normally.

  • The word "Bookmarks" does not appear on my bookmarks toolbar, so I can't access to my favorites

The word "Bookmarks" does not appear on my bookmarks toolbar, so I can't access to my favorites

The bookmarks toolbar gives you elements of 'context' for bookmarks.

Do a right click in a white spot on the Navigation toolbar or the Tabstrip control.

  • Bookmarks toolbar will not show bookmarks

  • How can I restore Favorites button to the Bookmarks Toolbar?

I did all of the remedies detailed in helping restore the Favorites button to the bookmarks toolbar, but nothing helped. The favorite button is still missing from my bookmarks toolbar.

He disappeared last night when a few cosmetic changes appeared on my Navigation bar.

I had previously imported my Internet Explorer Favorites, but they are buried deep in the bookmarks menu and do not add a new favorite - so they are not practical to use.

If I could synchronize my favorites to my favorites, I could finally give up favorites in favor bookmarks - but apparently Firefox does not provide this possibility.

Disappearance of the favorite bookmarks toolbar button makes it practically unusable Firefox for me - unless I can find a solution.

I have no Add-ons and no new plugin that could cause this problem.

I solved the problem by a suggestion on the support Forum: I just exported my favourites, as a HTML file, from Internet Explorer 8.0 on the desktop. Then I imported the file Firefox by selecting import bookmarks in HTML... under the import and backup button in the toolbar of library.

Finally, I closed and reopened Firefox. There was my favorite button once more on the bookmarks toolbar.

  • How can I move my favorites in the menu bar of the bookmarks toolbar?

Once I upgraded my firefox to version 6, all my favorites that were previously in my bookmarks bar are now in the menu bar and the bookmarks bar appears just with no button. How can I move back to their own bar bookmarks? I would like to hide the menu bar.

    Thank you.

Make sure the bookmarks toolbar is visible and "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are always placed on the bookmarks toolbar.

If the menu bar is hidden, then press F10, or press and hold the ALT key, which should make the "menu bar" appear.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

    • Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars" and check the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the toolbar palette in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize
    • If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items which do not appear in the palette of the toolbar or a toolbar, then click on the button "Restore Default Set"
  • How can I get my favorites appears on the personal bar? The bookmarks toolbar is just empty, even though it lists all my favorites below him when I open my favorites.

I used the toolbar bookmarks for awhile. I was using Firefox last night, when I noticed it was empty. I went to view > toolbars > toolbar bookmarks and checked and unchecked it happens several times, but just what is a toolbar is empty. I also opened to the top of my favorites and all my favorites saved as Favorites bar are still there, and the links seem to work. I also stopped and restarted my computer, but the Favorites bar is always empty and I don't know what to do.

Make sure you always have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on the personal bar

    • Make sure you have the 'personal bar' visible: "view > toolbars".
    • Check in "view > toolbars > customize" "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar

  • As a drive not just favorite bookmark icons show an identibiable icon.

Identifiable bookmark toolbar icons is not. Whenever I put a new bookmark in the toolbar, or change an existing one, all I get is an icon of CD disc type extremely unhelpfuil. Soon all my bookmark toolbar icons will be exactly the same, making it useless to the toolbar. For me, it's a vital part of the browser, but it seems quite neglected. Modules that are designed to solve this problem (will come watch how widespread it is) simply do not work. The only browser I have now that treats of this question is properly IE11 but it is so slow, loading of the pages they are useless.

I use the latest version of Firefox, but this question has been obvious to many previous versions.

Works for me on Firefox 50 when you drag the tab into the bookmarks toolbar. But I noticed that this Web page takes a long time to load; the Favcion must show in the tab or Firefox will not save the Favicon if I try to "drag" during the loading of the page is always.

The next thing to do is to try the Mode without failure of Firefox and see what works then. Firefox Safe Mode

  • Is there a way to show "Bookmark toolbar items" in the Navigation bar, without its setting in the overflow chevron?

Today I updated to 31.0 30.0 FF, but he eventually change the placement of my toolbar items. Originally, I did ensure that bookmarks toolbar items were placed in the Navigation bar, as well as my icon options firefox 3-bar and bookmarks, download. But now, the bookmarks toolbar items is placed in the overflow chevron icon, as well as other elements of the toolbar (for example, downloading and the extension of Pocket icon).

Is there a way to prevent this behavior, or should I try to move everything to another toolbar?

Here are a few screenshots that describes my problem:
Installation of original toolbar (30.0 FF): https://www.dropbox.com/s/76ovfh2f929n8o4/firefox31.0toolbaroriginal.png
Changed the configuration of the toolbar (31,0 FF): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qrrllq8m7a98yjl/firefox31.0toolbarchanged.PNG

In the previous thread we found not somehow integrated to move the items in toolbar of bookmarks on another bar that worked. See: why 31 FF no longer displays my items in toolbar bookmarks in an another toolbar. Maybe someone can develop a custom style rule or any other hack to make it work.
