If you are able to enter the bios, my opinion is that the mobo is good.

I am running OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.5 early 2016, 12 inches and I am trying to load Windows 8.1 Pro using Boot Camp.  (ignore what is in the product box)

Boot Camp successfully created a program loading of Windows, including the Apple drivers on my USB.

I was able to successfully partition my HDD 256GB.  50 GB for Boot Camp and ~ 200 GB for my OS X.

After the partition, the Boot Camp program is finished and I have a screen with my Mac OS disc and my Boot Camp disk.   My Boot Camp drive is completely empty.

When I restart the Boot Camp, I gives me the possibility to remove the disc from Boot Camp.

How can I load Windows 8.1 on my Boot Camp drive?   Should I delete the disk Windows/Boot Camp Partition and start again?

Macs 2015 and more late do not use a USB Installer. Disconnect the external storage, launch BCA, delete the current Windows partition and start all over again. You must put the ISO of Windows in your Documents folder and it must be dismantled.

you need a PC to use the tool of creation of the windows window.

  • Use of XPS 8700 MSATA

I bought a 32 GB MSATA disk and installed in my XPS 8700 system. Then I went to see how to activate, or to see if it is installed and working. Problem is that I can't find anything that says it's there. I noticed that nothing in the BIOS, nothing in Device Manager and nothing in the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology software. I expect that somewhere I need to have to turn on the port (maybe auto recognized) somewhere, I need to configure for setting cache, and somewhere where I can at least see it's there and do what he's supposed to do. Any ideas how can I check to see that it makes there job?

    Windows V8.1, 8GB Dell XPS 8700, 1 to, nVidia 635

I found the answer and it is simple supper.

When Windows 8, open msconfig.exe and the value of the checkbox Start secure on the Startup tab.

Reboot your system and use the F2 key to access the bios. Go to advanced settings, on the aircraft and change the SATA AHCI mode to the RAID. When you choose Save, your system will restart and this time let it boot mode safe.

While pilots will be changed mode without failure. You can check the Device Manager if you like and you will see an entry in for the Intel Desktop/Workstation... storage controllers. Open new msconfig.exe and uncheck the box secure boot. Close it, and then restart in normal Windows.

Now, you can configure your MSATA drive as a cache for your HARD disk drive in the Intel® Rapid storage technology.

  • How can I make my original Windows 7 bootable again?

I really need someone who has been in the wars to dual-boot.

I had a beautiful work of installation of Windows 7, then thought I would try dualboot Windows 8.  I installed Win 8 on a clean partition.  But something went wrong and get the choice of Windows 8 and Windows 7, when I started.  Kick directly to Win 8 and never gave me any options or settings to change.  Tried to deceive it by acknowledging the origin o/s, but not go.

Because win 8 was not made for me, I tried to format the new partition and installed a second Win 7.  I thought that she would recognize the other Win 7 and set up the old familiar dual boot, in the end, I got exactly the same problem.

Then I tried to use edit bcd.  I saw there is no entry at all for the original score of Win 7, so I cerated a new ID and copied all the parameters of the new Win 7, with the exception of the device (partition).  I added my new partiion of the sequence of sboot and fails.  Who has worked almost: when I restarted I got the o/s selection screen, but when I chose the old o/d, it shielded blue.

I figire far I have either some few details wrong in BCDedit, or I'm missing something fundamental.  At this point, all I want to do is boot in my good old Windows 7.

    Can anyone help?

EasyBCD - how to remove the invalid entry:
    http://NeoSmart.NET/DL.php?id=1

When you run EasyBCD, you will see the following great tabs/buttons on the left.

    (1) the display settings: displays the number of entries (bootable version valid and is no longer valid to Windows). The one marked 'default' in the version of Windows that starts if you sit and wait 30 seconds without making a selection using the keyboard. The entrance of remaining are classified by 'Name' (unless renamed all entires will call Windows 7). Drive letter represents the partition that version. If everything you have installed multiple copies on Windows 7 is the way "Bootloader" will always be the same.

    (2) menu of Boot edit: four options 'Up', 'Down', 'Rename' (is very convenient if you want to see a significant name when you first start (I have 5 versions of Windows on one of my test systems, so I reamed the plain jane "Windows 7" "Windows 7 Pro 64-bit" and "Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - Bt, etc." ").)

The last option is "Delete", click on the entry of is no longer valid (for highlight), and click 'delete '.

You will see also a check mark 'default' (when the 30 timeout expires) version Windows, the computer will start to place a check mark to the one you want.

Located at the bottom of 'edit Boot Menu' page is the time-out value, if you want automatically to your only remaining version of Windows just place a check mark in the box "Skip boot menu."

When your done with your changes, be sure to 'Save Settings'.

If the Visa is still functions (you can load a running Vista), then install EasyBCD and follow the instuctions for EasyBCD listed below. When you are finished with the removal of Windows 7 in the boot (according to instructions) menu, then you can reformat the D: partition, which is where you said Windows 7 was installed.

We recommend the replacement of hard disk for 2000-0142.

Reinstalling windows or repairing the BCD is perhaps not a permanent solution to this problem.
