Break in the tables (German)

Hello Internet,

I try to make a word breaking in a table layout. The break in the document settings box is checked. Now, when I double click on the cell to change its content, the text in this cell will be cut. However, as soon as the cell is not enabled, the gap disappears again.

I use:

  • 5.6.2 pages (2573)
  • OS X Version of El Capitan 10.11.4
  • Language: German
  • Police: Open without

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thank you very much!

Psychonaut salvation,

Here is a text of nonsense:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet

195kgs adipiscing elit

ESET eiusmod tempor incidunt and developed and pain magna aliquam. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud conducted. Gibbed dolor in longer storage ut developed and pain magna aliqua.

Places in a Pages 5.6.2 table cells:

System Preferences > keyboard > keyboard Show, Emoji & viewers of symbol in the menu bar

To see this in your menu bar:

Choose this menu item (Show Emoji & symbols) to see this (choose punctuation)

In a table cell, place the cursor where you want a conditional hyphen. In the body of this window (not the large icon on the right), double-click the conditional dash.

Resize the column to see these hyphens () gentle to do their work.

And once again, where the soft hyphens are required in a different column width,

Kind regards

Ian.

  • Possible to turn off the legacy of line break in the table of contents?

    Hello

Say I got a long title stupidly, that I need to address (and subtitle is not an option in this case):

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, adipiscing elit computer. Integer nec odio.

Due to wide-ish the font size of the header in the document, I want to break this header in two lines.

However my OCD uses a smaller font size, and so he could sit happily on a single line.

The problem is that the inDesign TOC seems to be ineriting the soft breakdown and therefore the line break appears in the table of contents too.

Is it possible to disable / prevent this?

    Thank you!

Try to use nonbreaking spaces, or without breaks (spaces are less problematic) the part of the topic that you want to wrap instead of the line break is forced.

  • text too close to page number in the table of contents

Most of the time I can take care of unattractive line breaks in the table of contents by putting in the nonbreaking spaces in a paragraph.

However, sometimes I have a situation where a table of contents entry text is too close to the page number right. The text is so close to the page number as in some not case of presentation of points of the leader, or show only one or two points of leader.

Writing and its adjustment page number on one line, then putting in the nonbreaking spaces won't solve the problem. I could put in a soft return (SHIFT-ENTER) in the table of contents entry to force a line break, but it is not effective because I have to put in the soft return manually every time the table of contents are updated.

If someone has a tip on how to effectively manage this problem, I would like to know about it.

    Jay,

Some time ago, someone posted a solution to make the line nice breaks in the index entries. It's setting values of the minimum and maximum word spacing in the paragraph Designer. The values validated it did not worked for me, so I played a little with it and use the following syntax:

In the paragraph format for table of contents entry, set the maximum word spacing of 325% and oral minimum spacing to 275% and the optimal spacing to 100%. Note the fact that the optimum is NOT between the minimum and maximum values. I don't know the algorithm that Frame uses to decide where the line break, but I'm guessing he first decides to break the line to fill the max and min requires, breaks the line, but changes the spacing back 100%, which is what you want then, in other words, we don't want large spaces.

The causes of values above a line break about an inch or two to the right margin. If you want to close, try 225 percent and 175 percent. I found that over these two issues of line breaks occur further from the right margin.

This method does not have to enter the manual line breaks and gives a nice line break, even for those rows that could fit on a single line.

    Good luck

  • How the first column heading must be repeated if the table breaks across pages

    Hi Experts,

RTF model, header row in the table automatically repeat if record go to the next page. in similar fasion, I want to repeat the first column heading, table breaks on any page.

    Please help reslove this issue...

    Hello

You can add the tag to the first column and the first row of the table. It will repeat 1st column when table to break across pages.

Here 1 means, repeat first column when table to break across pages.

I hope this will solve your problem.

P.S. If you provide 2, this means, repeat for column 2 of the table through the pages

Please check the issue as resolved, if that answers your question. Thank you

  • Rows in the table are break on separate pages...

I have 20 lines equipped table:

first 3 lines are on one page, then half of the page is empty hen remaining 17 rows is on the second page.

How can I keep table to break the lines. I want all rows in the table to succeed himself.

    Help, please. Thank you.

Keep them with parameters are in the table > Format > Format line...

Note: the first row on the second page may also have a start parameter that indicates that it is at the top of a page or column.

The control of widows and orphans just specifies how many rows to keep together (widow is the first page; ( orphan , is the second page) when a table has over a page. The higher the number, the more lines are forced to remain together.

  • Chapter title, break/separation upward in the table of contents

    TOC.jpg

    Hello

    I use FM11 on Windows 7.0.

When I update my OCD, one of the chapter titles break and appear on 2 pages (as shown in the picture).

I checked for Page breaks, extra spaces and tabs of paragraph etc.

Also, pressing to clear the text GETS shrunk (tight upward) and not deleted.

When the title of the chapter is a single line, break page disappears. (I have another file where the title of the chapter is in line 2 and it works well here).

    Many need help!

    As soon as possible please...

In fact, the reference page specifies the content of the table of contents to use. The formattting is specified by the tag/style of paragraph defined in your catalog paraagraph.

    @ Kiathestar,.

It seems that you have a parameter keep with next, but also the widows and the orphans set to 1 in your paratags as a third level. These adjust to keep it with is cut and the widows and orphans is at least 2 lines.

Also if you want to set the wrap properly on any of the TOC entries that span multiple lines, in the respective paratag on the Advanced tab, set the Minimum wee to be much superior to the wee Maximum value, for example

This setting (counterintuitive) force the line to wrap up well before the right margin setting takes effect. The location of the scarf is a function of the mini/maxi report and vary quite a bit depending on the size of your font and fonts. Try values th 150-300% for the Minimum (in 25% increments) until you get an envelope to a visually desirable location.

  • Prevent the tables break across pages in a RTF model?

    Nothing too complex...

I have a table which can have a maximum of 15 lines.

  • Breaks in the spacing table

I currently have in a table spacing problem.  http://www.bsatshirts.com/our_process.html will show an example of what I'm talking about. Under the top of the headerbar page, the table seems to have a 1 space pixil between the header and images on the main page.  Anyone have any idea why this is happening or a way to solve this?

It needs to be clarified a few things.  First of all, you confuse all browsers, because you have not filed a document type, as well as all browsers will in Quirks mode, guess what he thinks he should do.  So, open the page in Dreamweaver, click on edit-> properties--> title/encoding Page and choose HTML 4.01 Transitional to your doctype (this corresponds with most of your code in force.

Then look at what is currently line 18.

    Remove the

from the code.  However, there is no end.  Once you get that clears post back and if the problem persists, we'll start troubleshooting from there.

  • How to convert the string with numbers in the table of Boolean 2D

    Hello

I have input a string with comma separated numbers 1,192 (starting at 1).

This string must be converted to a table 2D-boolean. Each number that appears should be true, not true rest.

The 2D table consists of 4 times of 0.47 Boolean values.

    1.48--> [0.47] numbers [0]
    49.96--> [0.47] numbers [1]
    Numbers 97.144--> [0.47] [2]
    145.192--> [0.47] numbers [3]

    If a '1, 49, 97 145' input string put all [0] [0.3] true.

How can it be easy/fast resolved?

    Thanks for help

Break the string of numbers in a table of numbers.  (Spreasheet String to Array).

In a loop For, index with each issue of this table.  Use in the range and Coerce to see if it is in the range of numbers.  (You can put this in a loop For as auto good indexing through the ranges).  If it's in the range, then use subset replace table to activate the corresponding item in a real.  If this is not the case, do nothing.  Maintain the table of Boolean in a shift register.

Repeat this step for each number in your table.

    Hello

I use BI Publisher 11.1.1.7 and I have reports that use tables, and they are spread over several pages. I wouldn't mind if the table is split into two half but sometimes on the headers. • Can break us af:table in two columns as panelformlayout display?

    Mr President.

Can break us af:table in two columns as panelformlayout display?

    Concerning

And the two group must be vertical, m I right?

    you want to like this-

    Column1 Column2 Column3

    column4 column 5 column6

You can't do that with an af:table that you can do is remove two tables same viewObject, sharing the same iterator and take a few columns in the first table years based in the second table and then surround the two tables with a layout of the Panel group (vertical)

or take a look at the id of the pivot table, it fits in your case.

  • AF: displays do not all rows in the table

    Hi all

I have an af table in my jsff and it is bound to a display object. When I run the page locally in my jdev the table af shows all lines present in the ViewObject. But when I deploy the application in our SIT weblogic break page maximum of 25 lines shows if VO has more than 25 lines.

I put the size of the VO - 1 range. The size of range iterator is empty. I'm naïve why he works in local jdev and does not not in SIT.

A level of the application or the server parameter influences the number of lines to display in the table.

    Thank you

    Champion

If it worked before, something had changed on the server. Have you asked your admins if they changed something and if so what?

    They have applied a patch.

  • BI Publisher - how to display the number of lines displayed at the bottom of the table on each page

    Hello

We are the conversion reports Actuate BEEP and not able to understand how to view "Accum.Total = < n >" at the bottom of each page. In the attached report to operate it, "Accum.Total = < n >" must be displayed at the bottom of each page where < n > is the number of lines displayed on the current page and previous page.

For example, if there are 10 rows in the result set, if the 1st page displays 4 rows, 2nd page displays 3 rows and 3rd page is 3 lines and then Accum.Total = 4 on page 1, Accum.Total = 7 on page 2 and Accum.Total = 10 on page 3.

Note that we use the property table "allow the lines to break Pages = False" as we do not want a specific line can be split across pages.

I enclose a sample of report actuate, rtf, BEEP and XML report for testing file.

2 > I used approach given in the link below. Using this approach, I am able to view a coded value hard at the bottom of every page (just below the table) but his does not work for the variable (in my case the counter c1).

3 > on Google, I found a few articles on the page break conditionally as display only certain numbers on a page or the page by section break but in our case, its dynamics and its number of lines to display on a page is driven by data, so I could not think of a certain condition to use in "Condition." ": If" for use as a page break.
