Bribery of TIFF image in windows 7

I have an application that uses .NET 2.0 and it load a TIFF image to the file format.  In windows 7, the image is corrupted, then with XP which was not the case. The image seems to have its pixel values rounded to the intensities of hexagonal pixels (00,11,22,33... EE, ff).  This effect is also present in windows 7 paint, but other tiff viewers do not have this limitation. It seems to occur when the TIFF 8-bit photmetric mode MinIsBlack value, and it does not occur when the TIFF 8-bit has a palette.

  • Unable to print only one page in a multiple page / image tiff file using Windows Photo Gallery

IT seems that for Windows Vista Photo Gallery is able to display multiple images in a TIFF file format when printing, but it does not select the image to be printed. Whenever I print a tiff image file two pages to print.  Since most of my photos are in TIFF format, and each contains two images one by one another at a reduced resolution and normal resolution I'm only interested in printing the first image and not the second.  I really don't want to convert all my photos in a different format.  Does anyone know if there is a setting to fix this?

    Hi KKosin

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

    I suggest measures are:

    1. try to print the image in MS Paint, steps to follow:

    i. Click Start, in the search box, type in the paint

II. open the document to print

III. click on print and check

    2. change the format of an image file and check if this problem is still happening. You can change the type of file to the JPEG/JPG format. Steps to follow:

    i. right click on the file type

    II. select Rename

III. the extension .jpg or .jepg replace

IV. and then try to print

  • EMF Tiff image conversion does not properly on Windows 7 PC

I have a c# application that monitors the Clipboard.  When an EMF
comes, I extract the EMF of the Clipboard data and try to
Save offshore in a TIFF image. Everything works fine on a windows XP PC. However, when you do the conversion to grayscale, the converted image is not readable (blurry) on Window 7 PC (32-bit / 64-bit).

I have using the standard GDI + for the conversion needs. What could be changed as the origin of the problem? Any help appreciated.

    Hello

Your question of Windows 7 is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Visual c# in the MSDN forums. Please post your question in the Visual c# MSDN forum.

I use library windows live and am resizing of TIFF images that are about 50 MB in size. I want to be able to choose the size of MB, but the Application it in reduced connection between 2 to 4 MB. Should we accept the size?

If you try to reduce the size of the file to free up space on your hard drive...
changing the file format of the photos in JPEG format can be worth a try. That
will significantly reduce the size of the file without the need to reduce the pixel
    Dimensions.

    Hi GillRoad,

-You use Windows Live photo gallery or photo viewer in windows 7 to print the Tiff image?

You try to open the image in paint and check if you can print images of wise page.

To print the image in MS Paint, steps to follow:

    i. Click Start, in the search box, type in the paint

II. open the document to print

III. click on print and check.

If you are able to print selected pages in the painting and cannot print from Windows Live Photo Gallery, it would be better suited in the Gallery of Photo for Windows Live community. When I open the tiff file in pictureviewer, I only could see a page and an image... But no matter, you should save the images in separate files for access in LabVIEW.

  • How can I remove the user name and the image of Windows XP new Start Menu

    Two questions:

    1. How can I delete the user name and the image of Windows XP new start; and

    2. my computer keeps asking me to press the F1 key to start Windows.  How to skip this part?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The image of user account can be removed by disabling the Welcome screen. Or, by opting for the classic Windows theme. Follow the method described in this article, if you want to remove the user name and the picture in the Start Menu, without disabling the Welcome screen and Windows XP theme.

For those who want to delete the user name and the image of user account from the Start Menu, in order to have a blue white Panel at the top, try this:

    Registry warning
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756/

    Step 1:

    a. start Windows Explorer and go to this folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account images

    b. in this folder, rename the BMP file that corresponds to your user account.

(For example, if your user name is Robert, rename Robert.bmp to old_Robert.bmp)

    c. then rename the following folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\Default pictures

    to something else, for example,.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\No_Default images.

    Step 2:

To remove the user name, follow these steps

    a. Click Start, click "RUN" and type "regedit.exe" and navigate to this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER-Software-Windows Microsoft\------CurrentVersion-policies-Explorer

    b. in the right pane, the value NoUserNameInStartMenu-value data 1.

    c. close Regedit.exe and restart Windows.

You'll find yourself with a blue area at the top of the Start Menu.

Regarding the pressing 'F1' to start Windows, you have made no changes or was there a system crash after which the problem started?

You may need to change the boot sequence in the BIOS to the default settings. I recommend you contact your PC vendor for this.

    Warning of the BIOS:
BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • I can't put my wallpaper with an image of Windows Live Photo gallery.

I am currently using Windows XP sp3, and whenbever I'm trying to set my wallpaper with an image of Windows Live Photo Gallery, the image will be there for a few minutes then goes to blue screen. I can not change to any other image from those available or set it to any other image from the photo gallery.  I tried to do a system restore and my old picrure Office will be there, but whenever I try to change to another is the same thing. Is there anyone that cn offers a solution to this problem?

I had the same problem and just think about it. The image must be saved in the folder "my pictures." Right-click of your screen and go down to "Properties" there, press the 'Desktop' tab and click on the 'Browse' button and select your image in the menu. After you have finished click the 'Settings' tab and click on the "Advanced" button, which will bring up a new window, under the section "compatibility, select the"restart the computer before applying the new display settings' option. " Apply then hit and your image should appear as background.

    Hello martinw56,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Sorry, you have a problem with that!  Have you tried the steps below with respect to the scanning of a picture with Windows Photo Gallery?  Do you have in the past been able to scan pictures with your current scanner and upload pictures to the photo gallery?

Please let us know status.  Thank you!

    Scan a picture
    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/66c76a19-97e7-492d-b3bf-a9c574c81f521033.mspx#ex

Before you begin, make sure that you have installed the scanner to the computer and the scanner is powered.

    1.

Windows Photo Gallery by clicking on the button Start , allprograms, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.

    2.

Click fileand then click import from device scanner or photo.

    3.

In the window import pictures and videos , click the scanner that you want to use, and then click import.

    4.

In the new scan dialog box, click the list of profiles , and then click the picture. The default settings to scan an image appear automatically.

    5.

If you're using a scanner with a document feeder, click the paper size list, and then click the size of the image that you have placed on the scanner or click on the size that is similar to the image.

    6.

Click the color format list, and then click the color format that you want the scanned file to display.

    7.

Click the type of file list, and then click the file type that you want to use to save the scanned file.

    8.

Click the list Resolution (DPI) , and then click the resolution, in dots per inch, that you want to use.

    9.

Adjust the settings for brightness and contrast, or type the values that you want to use.

    10.

To see how the image will appear when it is scanned, click Preview. If necessary, change the scan settings, and then preview the image again. Repeat these steps until you are satisfied with the results of the overview. Some scanners may require that place you the image in the charger whenever you are scanning.

    11.

Click on scan. When the scan is complete, Windows Photo Gallery invites you to mark the image so that it is easier to organize or find later.

    12.

In the list tag these pictures (optional) , type a tag name, and then click import. Windows Photo Gallery displays the picture, so you can view, difficulty or organize.
