Brightness, stuck on the VERY low windows 8.1

Hello

I have obtained the help of the instance of Microsoft and came to the conclusion that Windows 8.1 lack some display drivers. My solution was to roll back to Windows 7 (the original operating system pre-installed). After reinstalling the brightness can now be changed and keyboard shortcuts also work.

Files should always be saved externally because a hard drive can die at any moment.  All files that are not saved are to be evaluated as worthless.

But you can save files on hard drive USB flash or external operating system starts plu using copy paste & - in the Windows Recovery Console with your support of OS install kicked, or by downloading and burning to CD with Windows Image Burner Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition free 11.0 on another PC.

If you have the Windows 7 DVD or CD repair, try to run Startup Repair to obtain best results.  If this fails and you still want to try and fix it so all that can be done here is for Troubleshooting Windows 7 fail to start .  I'll help guide you through these repairs, if necessary, to answer here, because I'm more seven forums.

At some point, you can jump to a clean reinstall Windows 7 which includes everything you need to get and maintain a perfect installation.  Be sure to remove all partitions during the installation of punt.

Once installed, completely updated, activate, then follow the upgrade to Windows 10 - Microsoft

You can get around get Windows 10 app in the system tray to install Windows 10 using the media - Windows help authoring tool.

Check the box in the first option to automate the process or select 'to another PC"to create bootable flash media or download an ISO to burn it to a DVD with the drive of Windows Image.  Now you have media to reinstall or need repairs.  But to run the upgrade, it must be opened in Windows 7/8.1, click right installation to run as admin file.

To improve chances disable the upgrade everything at startup:

  • Stuck on the screen "Please wait" or "Configuring windows. Do not turn off your computer.

    I'm under 64-bit Windows 8

Apparently, I scanned my system with a complete analysis of the system (AVAST) and my computer left thinking that it would take several hours. When I came back, my computer automatically shut down because it was left idle for about 4 hours. I don't know if the scan is finished. When I try to start, the screen becomes screen stuck on "Please wait" or "windows setup. Do not turn off your computer.

I already tried to go on the System Recovery Options screen, then will solve the problems, then Advanced Options, but I tried everything what it and the problem persists even when I tried to start in safe mode. I tried to go to the command prompt, and then type sfc / scannow, but he says he cannot parse now. I also tried chkdsk / R, but it said the same thing. I don't know how to run cmd as administrator from the System Recovery Options.

So now I tried to use system restore, but I'm stuck on the logo of windows for about 1 and a half hour. I don't know if I have to wait for it or it is already blocked. In other forums I've read, they were using only the Group of drive 'C:' connected with system restore. Should I do this?

I think to delete AVAST or turn it off somehow.

    Please help me.

    Problem solved

I would like to share how I solved the problem. I was able to start using the windows 8 cd and in the window that asks you the language of the windows 8 needs to be installed, you can see below "computer repair".

After clicking on it, it automatically prompts me for advanced boot parameters. First I tried the auto repair, but it says the same thing, '.. '. can't fix right now... »
So I tried the option "pc refresh. I waited a few minutes to cool to do and after the process, it is more hung please wait screen when starting.

Once connected, I installed programs have been removed. In the local disk files, there is a new "windows.old folder ' showing all programs that I have the old system. Re-install program is easy and the best thing is that I have my computer back.

My deep gratitude to those who helped me. Thank you!

  • Satellite P200-1EE - Vista stuck on the homepage

    Hello

    * My Satellite P200-1EE is stuck on the progress bar Windows Vista since yesterday morning * and I'm unable to contact my office.

I tried several solutions using the F8 key at startup.

    1 / safe mode

2 / startup repair. "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically.

3 / the system restore. "No restore point.

4 / windows complete PC Restore. "No restore point.

5 / Windows memory diagnostic tool. It is said that there is no problem of memory.

So I am only left with the options of 'Restore the full Windows operating system' and the 'command prompt '.

But I'm not too sure of the latter option. That's where I need your advice.

    * If I go for complete Windows restore, the entire hard drive fade or just the partition where I have windows (for example, "C:")? * I have several years of family photos on another partition (D or E) that I would not lose enough.

Obviously, * I do not lose data or software on C:, but not personal stuff D or E.*
Could you advise me on the best option?

    Thank you

    Paul

    > If I go for complete Windows restore, the entire hard drive fade or just the partition where I have windows (for example, "C:")? I have several years of family photos on another partition (D or E) that I would not lose enough.

Depends on the disc that you would use if you want to use the Toshiba recovery disc, then the whole HARD disk would be formatted, including all partitions on the HARD drive.
If you want to use the disk in Microsoft Windows Vista, you can choose which partition has been formatted and where the Vista must be installed.

    > Clearly, I do not lose data or software on C:, but not personal stuff on D or E.
    > Could you advise me on the best option?

If you n t want to lose the data stored on the D partition and if you don t have a disc of Microsoft Vista, install the OS of Visa then I would recommend, remove the laptop HARD drive. Then plug the 2.5 SATA HDD with a USB-SATA controller then this HARD drive to another computer.
Usually, you should be able to access the D partition and would be able to move all the data to another computer.

  • Very low volume on Portege R500

The volume on my R500 (R500 - 11 c to be exact) is ridiculously low. Only with the volume at maximum (100) and using headphones I hear nothing, and even in this case, it is far too low to be useful. I can just do the test sounds to the left and then good listener when using his test detected in Control Panel-> Sound-> speakers (there no helmet to choose)-> Properties-> Advanced-> test. Unplug the headphones I hear nothing in the speakers, because of the (very low) sounds made by the fan and HARD drive. Play music (with headphones) I can just do the sounds are produced, but I can't even on what is happening.

I tried the things mentioned in the "Satellite 5105-S901 sound is very low (even at max volume) to aid driver Toshiba ' thread without success (including the Loudness equalization).

I am running Vista Business 32 bit and have tried the driver_audio_realtek26117B.exe, driver_audio_realtek_TC00157600B.exe and Vista_Win7_R243_x86.exe the driver files and also used the util_mute_off_25847B.exe utility.

Enabling silent makes the already weak sounds go completely silent, so I don't think it's a matter of mute.

Jack detection works, I can see that in the Realtek HD Audio Manager program. Using sound test of this program (Configuration of the speakers) I have to go to a completely silent, and even in this case I can't hear something on the right headphone. (I think, it's darn so low, that I could imagine I hear.)

Decreasing the volume slider sound 100 harder almost inaudible noise similarly points out, and around 45 it is more audible even in a quiet room with headphones.

So it seems that I somehow need to reset the audio chip in a 'normal' level Or it is broken and does not display anything more audible.

Does anyone have ideas, what I can try next? I can boot XP or Linux, if anyone has any ideas on how to get her here, just to start. (They are silent as well, I did not like extensive tests under those as Vista).

    Hello

According to your message, you have tried to increase the volume by using all possible options
Have you tried to increase the volume in Control Panel-> Realtek HD audio manager?
    Check this box

You also tried to update the Realtek audio driver.
Did you use the Realtek page directly?
    Check it!

If this will not help, you might try the laptop with the new system recovered

But if this does not improve the volume, then this could be a hardware problem

  • Mono recording has 2 waveforms, 1 very low Amplitude

    Screen Shot 2016-06-27 at 11.56.53 AM.pngScreen Shot 2016-06-27 at 12.12.48 PM.pngHello

I am changing a mono recording. However, I have 2 waveforms. It is almost flat and short along the mark dB infinity and the other from the voice that I have saved. The registration of a person speaking was made in a room untreated. The (gun) microphone was farther from their mouths that ideal. I guess the low amplitude waveform is probably echo chamber.

I was initially concerned about the implications on the Assembly. Now I think that given the very low amplitude of the waveform "2nd" (which will appear as a flat line unless I Zoom in so close I can see the sampling points) I can ignore and just edit to higher amplitude waveform.

I would like your comments on these thoughts please.

Thanks a lot for any assistance.

Yes, as mentioned you are in multichannel mode. But, one microphone will produce only a single output, so at best this other waveform will only be noise. So, if you simply convert the channel with the real signal in a mono track (which is all you need), then the ambiguity apparent will disappear.

So, you cut the track with noise (click the L or R button until the track you want to cut gray goes), go to "save under" and change the type of the sample in Mono in the Panel that opens, give the new file a name appropriate and save it. Gives you another advantage - don't you change the original track more, so you'll always come back if you change your mind about what it is. And we see this as a good practice anyway!

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.

-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.
