  Hello. I recently had a fellow editor over and he saw some of my pictures and said that my whites were too bright and to ensure that they were distributed without danger before export.   Check out the video limiter effect. It's a much more robust and modern way to produce broadcast safe levels.

• T450s: Hosted network feature not supported?

  I have a ThinkPad T450s bought in Dec 2015 with Windows 10 Pro. It has the Intel AC 7265 wireless card. I am trying to use the hosted network feature Windows to use the laptop as a hotspot for other devices, but I can't make it work.

  When I open an administrator command prompt and run "netsh wlan show drivers", the parameter ' hosted network supported:' has the value 'no '.

  I tried updating the wireless network card driver via the tool companion of Lenovo, via the Intel driver update utility and Windows via the Device Manager. The wireless driver has been updated to version 18.330.1 dated dated 05-01-2016. Then, I rebooted the machine but still no improvement. The characteristic hosted network shows as not supported. I also tried showing the devices hidden in Device Manager but under network adapters, there is no virtual card listed Microsoft hosted network.

  Is this a driver problem? Anyone with a broadcast network animated T450s as being taken in charge?

  Well, I found a solution on the Intel community forum: https://communities.intel.com/message/327193. A couple of users in this thread (the one with a Lenovo X 1 carbon) suggested to use an older version of 18.11 18.12 driver. So that's what I did and it worked! Here are my actual steps:

  Can someone help me to explain what happened with the audio channels in the new update?  Stereo channels existed only on one channel (for example. A1, with Left and Right on the same channel).  Stereo audio is now represented by two channels with the left on channel 1 and just on channel 2 (similar to the old PCF).

  I am confused why this has changed, and what it means.  I struck out an advertisement recently and when I sent it to the stations, there no QC as the audio was above a level course broadcast.  I double checked with the audio company, and they certainly provided the sound correctly.  I even sent the .wav file to check at the station and broadcast safe levels (R128 mix,-23LUFS).

  So everything I can assume it's that when I dragged and dropped the audio mixer in my sequence in first and exported to my master... First has somehow messed with levels.  Originally if I dragged a stereo audio file in the first, he sat alone on channel A1 and it is always passed QC.  Now when I drag the stereo audio file in the first, he sits on channel A1 and A2, and is what makes the first play with the original levels.  The currently 2 audio channels stereo is also annoying when you do levels on the fly with keyboard shortcuts.

  Stereo tracks have not changed in PP.  Check your assignments of channels for the media.  (Right click > edit > Audio...)

• Why not lemutri scopes show levels greater than 100 or less than 0?

  I got a call back of the Department on the airwaves, but the scopes in the first show all levels within 0 to 100, even cut. I have the video limiter effect and the effect of an adjustment layer levels, but when they receive it the video is over 100 and 0. When I do this in final cut pro, it shows out of reach of broadcast safe levels. Why aren't the expanses of lemutri showing me this? Am I missing something?

  As Jeff says... but here's a trick.

  Do not use the video limiter (or broadcasting) effect.

  Only apply effect LEVELS for the adjustment layer.

  This will automatically fix Luma, but I tend to drop at 250ish white as well. Check it by activating / deactivating it on and outside.)

  If your Chroma is hot... Use the parameter to whatever color of the drop.  Generally, red is the culprit...

  My stuff never fails QC issue with that.

  In Final Cut 7 I can take a whole sequence and create a 'nest' out of it, where it becomes an editable object in the timeline panel. I can only apply a fade to the whole sequence, even if there are several clips with transparency immediately above. I can also apply a video effect 'broadcast safe' to make sure that my video is all legal. How to do something similar in the first?

  I just finished reading the book of techniques of studio by mark christiansen and I have I have some doubts, maybe, someone working on similar projects can help out me, I hope!

  I live in a PAL country and I especially design and animate the graphics in AE with layers of shape, the illustrator files and psd files. I can work in a proyect for broadcast HD tv and some questions and insecurities had crawled in. I would describe who will be I guess than the workflow:

  You should check with the diffuser. Either they publicly publish their requirements or that they are in a contract. There is not one size fits all here. The best option for the broadcast work is to make a copy almost without loss or loss of your job as a DI (digital intermediate) and then compress the project specifications accurate diffuser using Adobe Media Encoder or another application specifically designed for video compression for delivery. The only time you ever look like an amateur is when you do not ask the specifications. I regularly get the same images different distributors in 6 different formats.

  I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

  Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

  Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem.
