All, I am new to the forum but have been reading up on top of a problem that had led me into a wall.

I'm trying to create a development environment that uses VMWare Workstation 7.0.1 (and I tried with 7.0.0 before, leading me to)

update in the hope of a quick solution) as a development of imaging and the test bench.  The system is a Dell Optiplex 745, upgraded to 8 GB of

RAM.  Unfortunately, it seems that the biggest problem is the network card.

I tried several different operating systems, and all DHCP requests are found in the AUTOMATIC private IP addressing.  This is even after I implemented a custom adapter (VMNet2) that fills explicitly to this network card problem.  I disabled VMNet0 and all because this dish was not working.  I have read some relevant

messages, but nothing seems to help.  This included the http://communities.vmware.com/message/675649 and more

positions listed on the registry settings.  I don't know what to do at this point.

So, for those who do not know the Broadcom driver issues, they are apparently many.  It is important to disable the unloading, but

I'm not able to find the settings in the post linked above.  It's quite similar to the OP for this thread.  I'm not

know if it's a difference of conductor between the 32-bit and 64-bit implementations.  So, I updated from the version of the driver

12.2.2.1 (b57nd60a.sys) of 10.100.0.0 (I think, can not driver rollback now to check because I need to work on VMS for urgent

projects as soon as POSSIBLE).  So, as I said, I was unable to find the parameters of this post

    ()http://communities.vmware.com/thread/191085) mentioned below:

    • Large Send Offload (IPv4)

    • Large Send Offload v2 (IPv4)

    • Large Send Offload v2 (IPv6)

What I found were these parameters:

    • Flow control (Auto, I tried to disable)

    • Priority and VLAN (priority & VLAN enabled; I tried priority and VLAN disabled)

    • Speed and Duplex (Knew better than to mess around here, has made the problems in the past, retired to Auto)

    • VLAN ID (always 0)

    • Wake Up Capabilities (Magic Packey; no one tried)

    • Unloading ARP (Enable; I tried to disable)

    • NS unloading (Enable; I tried to disable)

I tried enabling / disabling all, specially those mentioning the unloading, all day without success.  This did not help.

Later, I tried to add DontAddDefaultGateway, EnabledRSS and DisableTaskOffload keys to my CurrentControlSet on the

host.  For some reason any DisableTaskOffload shows in the regedit, GUI, not the export of text.  Don't know what this means, and I'm too

tired of care at this point.

I'm sorry, I completely forgot to reply to this topic yesterday (get distracted by a matter of work).    I'll be back today and noticed that you have marked this as answer.  The root cause of the problem was therefore one MAC address per port restriction put in place by your network management team?

  • Satellite Pro 6050: WLan controller does not seem to be in Device Manager

I'm a novice guy with computers.

Well, I re-formated my laptop and re-installed all the drivers, but my wirless lan controller does not seem to be in my device manager.
I was just wondering, if the driver needed to be installed in a certain order. I also had my add on the Vodaphone mobile card plugged into slot on the side that would make a difference?

in any well any help would be great
    Dane :-)

    Hello

As far as I know that the WLan card was optional on this unit. In this case, if you bought the device with wireless network card that WLAN should appears in Device Manager. But if you bought the laptop without the WLan card you won't find it in Device Manager.

PS: The recovery CD already includes the WLan driver and you don't need to t in addition no driver to install.

  • Ethernet controller does not work on the Satellite L645D-S4030

Basically, I got my windows 7 reinstalled on my laptop due to virus... Now I have a problem with the Ethernet controller does not, I checked my device manager and there is a kind of yellow dash through the icon... Someone knows what is the problem and how can I solve this problem?

    BTW, I have a SATELLITE L645D-S4030

    Hey Buddy,

Hmm generally if you reinstall Toshiba Recovery disk Windows all drivers will be installed too because the disc contains a picture of the factory settings.
    Or you used another drive?

Yellow exclamation mark can mean that there is a driver problem and so it would be advisable to reinstall the LAN driver. Follow the link Timox. After the driver is installed, restart your computer and check again in Device Manager. The yellow exclamation point should normally be gone.

  • PlayStation 3 Sixaxies Controller does not work

Hello I am looking for a fix for this problem, I have a perferctly good controller and a new computer windows 7 64 bit and I would like to know why the controller does not work please help thanks

Are you sure Sony support the controller on a PC?  If you are just using a pilot implemented by a guy then it probably won't work on 64-bit.

My advice, pick up a wired Xbox 360 controller.  Windows Update uses drivers and it will install immediately.  If you want to go wireless, you can use a wireless controller with the USB Gaming receiver for Windows. I have a XPS 400 desktop computer that runs currently the 10 Insider Preview Windows operating system and its video controller does not work and so he struggles to play YouTube videos and he is totally unable to play games should be able to play. I once had this computer to run an operating system called Linux Mint and the video controller worked fine until I put Windows 10 on it. In Device Manager the video controller appears under other devices with an exclamation point. I tried to have the search system automatically updates of pilot, but he can't find. In the past I thought that the video controller was that of an AMD processor, but I don't remember why. Recently I watched the original specifications and it comes with an NVIDIA GEFORCE 6800, so I'm not sure she has and this computer has done to my knowledge undergo updates before I owned it but I don't know if its video controller has been changed. Nevertheless, I tried to get help thinking it is an AMD but nothing helps and I tried to download the drivers from NVIDIA but it still does not work as there is very little information on the video controller. Does anyone know a way I could get the video controller to work?

10 Windows will have to use vista old drivers for video cards of vacuum tube.  XPS 400/Dimension 9150 can run windows etc. 8 or 10.

Old cards Nvidia cannot use the latest drivers.

the 340 series is the last version supporting older cards.

DirectX June 2010 is required to submit the drivers of DX10, which is what vista uses.

You download and extract in a folder and run DXSETUP. EXE as administrator.

    Then install of Chrome.

Before installing this driver.  You must also add the feature back for legacy Live Show on Control Panel.  If you do all the right things in the right order, it will work.  Control Panel, all the elements of the Control Panel, programs and features, windows features, turning on and outside

Then do the check boxes.  You MUST BE online when you do this, because he lament not find features and who need to download them from windows update.

  • Wireless controller does not work, said the controller is not an installed device

My "network controller" does not work it says... And he did my wireless doesn't work don't as well.
It happened when I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my Acer Aspire 5542 G. It just says: the network controller is not an installed device or something. I'm not smart with this kind of thing. So can somebody seriously help out me?
I tried to go to the main web site... But nothing will do it. 0: Yes... And I even tried updating the driver but he just said that he does on windows update...

Theres 4 here wireless LAN drivers . Select Notepad / sucks / 5442G.

But you will need to know if its Atheros QMI or Foxconn.

If this is the wireless on board. If its got one? in Device Manager, double click on it go to the Details tab / change hardware ID's for one of the entries, copy and paste it here.

Or if you want I could have a glance with teamviewer.

You'll see what I'm doing. If you get it give me the ID and password, it gives you

Or if you have Skype, my Skype name is the same name I use here

ENE PCI Secure Digital / MMC Card Reader Controller does not

I suggest that you go the manufacturer of your computers website and search for drivers chipset update.

    Click Start, type: Device Manager

    Press enter on your keyboard

Click with the right button on the controller listed in the tree view of the devices

    Click on uninstall

Restart your computer and let Windows redetect.

  • WIN Pro 8, xbox 360, z axis wireless controller does not

WIN Pro 8, Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller, z axis does not.

Axis Z work in the calibration screen, but not in the test screen or in the games must be a driver problem, advice?

Have deleted the driver to allow windows to reinstall the drivers.

Installing the windows driver software 7 for the controller, still the z axis only work in the calibration screen.

I thought that I had the same problem, but see the knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2757006

Apparently, the problem is only with the test itself dialog box. I also jumped to the conclusion that it must be a driver problem and expects the controller does not work properly in games.

However, the controller DOESN'T seem to work properly in games.

(Mine is actually a Logitech F710, but it uses Xinput anyway).

I hope that your Z axis controller also works outside of the test application, and the information above helps dispel the confusion around this issue.

There is no problem with the drivers or controller, everything works (read below for the explanation and solution)

I had the same problem, with the z axis (Left Trigger (LT) and right trigger (RT)) with a 360 wireless controller by using the adapter on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit wireless controller.

He would not show the entrances to trigger (z axis) on the calibration screen. Looked online and came across this thread in hopes of finding new update of drivers, or a solution.

After reading the post I quoted above, I decided to see if the z axis works in the game, and he does. I tried Street Fighter X Tekken, went to training mode and you can view entries button on the screen, and pressing the RT and LT trigger buttons, they are part of the game and my character not the corresponding move associated with the key as well as to show the button based directly on the screen.

I went then the game controller settings in windows 8 and again once the game controller dialog box does not show the LT and RT (z axis) entered.

Solution: the controller works fine, and not showing is not the z axis is only a cosmetic problem with the Controller dialog box. So just ignore the controller, the z axis dialog box still works in games.

  • Broadcom netlink gigabit card does not connect to 1 Gbit/s, auto negotiate connects to 10 Mbps

    Hello

I am very satisfied with my purchase Alienware Aurora ALX and happy to be part of this community.  However, I have this problem:

Does not connect to 1 Gbps Ethernet adapter; Here's what I've tried so far:

    (1) confirmed that my router is able to support Gigabit Ethernet.  I have two other devices connected to the same speed (an old PC and NAS).

    (2) when I set the speed and duplex of the adapter auto negotiate, it will connect to 10 Mbps

    (3) I noticed that there is no setting for 1000 Mbps in speed and duplex options.

    (4) I tried 100 full duplex MB, it will connect, but my Internet connection slows down less than 1 Mbps (I'm on a 15Mbps connection and test the other PC it could reach around 14Mbps).

    (5) I then tried 100 MB half duplex, it will also link and my overall network performance is good.

    (6) I have confirmed that I have the current driver from Dell. I've had the computer for 3 days (using windows 7 by the way).

    (7) I tried all ports on my router and confirmed that the side of the router has also been on auto negotiate and not trying to force a specific speed.

I hope someone has a solution or suggestion for this problem.

    Kind regards

    Jason

    * SOLUTION * thanks in part to the previous article.

Here is the Giga speed solution that worked for my new Dell Studio 1458.  I've read a lot about speeds slow xfer using the Broadcom NetLink LAN connection.

There were two things I did not initially, but were in fact true.

    (1) you must use a CAT 6 line on ALL your machines capable of gigabit.  I though that a good line of Cat5e support giga speeds.  This isn't.

Card Dell NetLink is apparently, some initial negotiations with your router (a bit ' as a fax machine), then after seeing all of your connections.

    It will drop the xfer rate down to the lowest common component (i.e. the Cat5e cable).  And;

    (2) map of NetLink won't give you giga speeds in automatic selection (advanced ethernet properties, speed & duplex).  The speed and the duplex window will never

view 1000 MB!  You can check if your is10/100/1000 connection by double clicking on the icon of your connection to the Local network.

I checked the speed of my connection giga via a test utility and transferring a 200meg file.  The results indicate an increase in the speed of 12 MB/s to 26 MB/s.

These figures do not show a factor of ten speeds increase, we'd all have (so much), but they are in line with transfer rates of others.

    I hope this helps!

  • Usb PCMCIA controller does not work with Tecra 8200

    Hello

I have an old laptop TECRA 8200 (Intel Pentium III, 847 MHz, 512 MB of RAM) OS: WIN XP with the latest patches. Because there is no USB 2.0 I bought a PCMCIA USB Controller (NEC Chip). The controller acknowledged, but XP is asking for a driver. The controller has not been delivered with a driver.

Does anyone has an idea how I could get the operational controller.

    Thank you

    concerning

    Fred

I mean, independent because this isn't really a toshiba associated problem, could you please put the name of the PCMCIA USB device?
I mean the manufacturer or something because if XP asks you a driver there should be one available, or?

Please, give feedback and what you could also do is to google for the PCMCIA device. The best way is often looking for the chip (in your case, NEC).
