Brochure, printing pages in reverse

Help, please!

I lost a lot of time and paper today trying to figure out why this is happening!

When I go to print a brochure, some inside pages are printed backwards.

I went through every single setting in Indesign times and my printer settings and that you can not drive wots going on!

When I go to print the booklet, the Preview Panel shows all correct, but wot prints is in every sense.

Please someone help before I go out my hair! lol x

I found this article useful in the InDesign print booklets.

  • HP Photosmart 7460 now prints pages in reverse order with white sheets between the two.

I have a HP Photosmart 7460.  Printing slowed to a crawl so I deleted the old driver and installed a new.  Now, it prints pages in reverse order.  All necessary pages are printed successfully, but every other page is a blank sheet.  The first produced sheet is empty.  I don't see any change in my printer preferences.

Blank pages occur with a pages document multiple and single page ones.  The sequence in the disorder occurs on the document of several pages.

I'm working on the uninstall.  Will continue in the AM.

  • printer prints pages in reverse

My printer prints pages in reverse: the first page is the last page and last page is the first.

    How can I change this?

The last page is often/usually printed first, so that it is on the bottom in the platen and then upward to the first page that you would normally expect to be on top.

If you want to change it, you can find the setting of your Printing Preferences. In mine it is a check box labeled last page first. Different printer software/drivers can call something slightly different, however.

To find click Printing Preferences ,

Start-> Control Panel-> devices and printers

then right-click on your printer and select print preferences.

  • Brochure printing, printing of multiple signatures

    Hi all!

I use Acrobat 9 and MP198 printer to print a manual of the game. The manual is about 13 MB in size, with 45 pages.  I would like to print the manual in format brochure on legal size paper, but instead of multiple sheets by signature, I would print 1 single sheet (4 pages) by signature so that I can just paste instead of the usual couture.

    1. is it possible to print more than one signature at a time?  For example, to print pages 1-4, 5-8, 9-12.  My experience with this is that it prints pages 1-12, resulting in a signature of 3 sheets instead of 3 leaf signatures.  Now, I have to specify 4 pages per print job so that each sheet singature is printed separately from the rest.

    2. looking at my queue of print screen, I noticed that each signature is 160-220 MB in size, for only 4 pages.  Accordingly, I have to wait for each signature to finish before printing the following or the printer and the PC slows to a crawl.  No idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

My computer is an old Athlon clocked at 1.8 GHz with 512 MB DDR RAM, if that helps anything.

    Thank you!

  • I want to print a full URL in the footer of a printed page. How can I do this?

I want the full Web page to print URL in the footer of the printed section. When I have the URL printed in the footer left section he gets cut by the Central footer section that is cut off by the footer to the right section.

Firefox cut the URL in your print, if it's really long, and you also on the same line (header or footer), Date and Pages

What I have summarized below are based on this page... http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-change-or-customize-Firefox-printing-defaults.html

    I have two questions:

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To fix, do a custom configuration for the header and footer as follows:

Print / Page Setup / margins & header/footer / 'Customize' the 'left' as follows (leave the centre and right all white)

    & T
    D & U...... PT

& D shows the short date: dd/mm/yyyy - and then the time

To change the format of the short date in Win 8.1, go to:

Control Panel / Date and time / Date and time tab / change the date and time / change the settings of the calendar.
Date / date short... change of j/yyyy...... MM/DD/YY

    QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

1.) how can you get rid of the time, who appears after the date? In Internet Explorer, you use a tiny "d" character - but that doesn't work here.

2.) is it possible to change the right font for the header and the footer, to something like 10 of Microsoft Sans Serif?

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Firefox leaves no room around the text in the header and footer to the edge. To fix:

    Address Bar / about: config
    Enter the keyword "edge."
Change then the four values of the printer that you use to:

    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_bottom... 5
    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_left... 10
    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_right... 10
    Print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_top... 5

  • In recent weeks, everything I print a web page prints so small I can barely read. It is used to print pages fine until 2-3 weeks ago when I updated to Firefox. The same page prints fine in Internet Explorer.

This started after I updated Firefox to the latest version prior to 8.0.

Firefox button > print-> Page Setup = scale

100% is generally the best configuration

  • Print page to test printer each time I turn it on.

Recently, I changed my ink cartridge, and since then I get a test print page everytime I turn on the printer.  What can I do to fix this?  Thanks, Barb

You don't mention what model of printer you have, so it is difficult to answer your question.  If you have a printer as the PSC 1310 or 1410 page is a page of alignment.  In this case, you will need to load the page alignment on the scanner glass, and then press the "Scan" button to complete the alignment.  Once the alignment ended the alignment page is not printed again until you change the next cartridge.  Check your manual for more details.

  • HP Officejet 4630: Printing on both sides, no option to turn off when you print a Word Doc; When printing Pages

Recently, when printing, the printer appear uses both sides of the paper, even when we don't want him. There is no option to turn it off when you print a Word document.

When printing Pages it shows a checked box that says BOTH SIDES, if I uncheck, then it works.

But from Word, there is no other choice. I tried the file/Preferences, I tried through the printer settings and nothing we can find will solve this problem? This has recently (last week or two) become a problem...

    Thank you!

  • Change the order of the printed pages

My Deskjet 2540 prints page 2 before page 1; can I change the order so that it prints page 1, page 2, page 3, etc and if so, HOW?

Ah... I'm sorry.  This printer does not have a duplexer, if you can't do two sided.  You must do it manually print the odd pages first and then put them back in and print the even pages.  I'm sorry.

  • Photosmart 7762: Photosmart 7762 small print page in A4 since the upgrade to Windows 10

I have just updated to Windows 7 to 10.  When I go to print an A4 document now doing at a reduced size that I have an additional border of space to the left and down.  The page is set to A4 of the printer is set for A4 and I tried printing and printing actual size to fit, but it makes no difference.   I deleted and reinstalled the printer so that it would probably use the most recent driver, but even when it makes no difference.

    HELP PLEASE

(PS. My old LaserJet 1200 always print the same document A4 correctly after the upgrade to Windows 10)

    Problem solved.

First tried to download HP printer Installation Wizard, which is installed as a brother of generic but with HP Photosmart 7760 showing when you click above but it just printed pages of random characters.

Then the printer found possedantes-advanced-new pilot and started to windows update and it evetually listed series printers so I clicked it and now it prints A4 OK again.

Tigerlilly wrote: printed page is not high on paper squared

Hello Tigerlilly, here is the link on your HP printer that contains information about the cleaning of the rollers in your printer.

Generally, when the printer displays the pages that are not as you expect, or the rollers that pull the paper in the printer are dirty, or the paper is not properly installed in the printer, causing the rollers to pull the paper into the printer at an angle

Just a few things to check.
