  • FF browser freezes watching YouTube using v15.0

My flash and plugins are all updated. With v15.0 on trying to watch a video, Firefox hangs for about 4-5 seconds as if the streaming of video freezes the full browser including all tabs. I have 20 MB high speed cable. This is new for this upgrade. I'm really losing patience with Firefox, this year, has never had as many questions in the past.

I can confirm that this problem is not related to the cache of the browser, virus, firefall, etc.. I use WaterFox (64-bit Firefox version 15) I also using Flash Player 64 bits Version 11.4.402.265.

I have not upgraded Flash player since the initial release of 64-bit flash. At the time, the Flash did not freeze all my firefox tabs. I would like know what version is the latest version of Flash that do not have this problem.

Start Notepad and let Windows load completely.  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  For the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  In the System Configuration window, click the Startup tab, uncheck the box next to each startup item and then click on apply to apply the change.  Restart the laptop for this change to take effect and see if your browsers all run Ok if they do reactivate odon't start point (start with your security software) at a time, click on apply and restart , then check if the browsers still run ok.  Keep doing this until you encounter the problem of gel with your browser and you will know that the last program that you configured to start with Windows is the origin of the problem.

  • Flash embedded in the page causes browser freeze and quicktime download prompt

    Hi people,

This is the Web page in question: http://www.visionone.org.au/sonseekers/about_sonseekers.aspx (Please note this page has audio).

The problem is that the page - loading, causing the browser to freeze and a prompt box download quicktime to appear (even if sometimes it just seems like gray a box without text). The browser should then be closed via Ctrl + Alt + Delete function. The only way that I discovered it was a quicktime download prompt box, was that I opened the page in Chrome, I think, and he showed the text allowing me to perform the update. If this page works fine for me now.

This page was working fine until about 3 weeks - I didn't change anything on the page to make it all work differently. Other people have had the same problems, see this page - regardless of what browser they use. It is important that this page is viewable by all, without having them to go through the dramas of installation of a quicktime update thing (or whatever it is). The majority of people visiting this site is not web/computer savvy.

I think it might have to do with a security setting for Windows Update and the AC_RunActiveContent.js file that references the flash embedded in the page. I have been searching google for the past few hours and found nothing even remotely close to help solve this problem.

Someone at - it had a similar problem and found a solution? Or if someone has an idea how solve this problem, that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The page does not freeze in firefox 3.62, but I got the guest of quicktime which is caused by the use of quicktime as the MP3 at the bottom of your code.

It has nothing to do with the AC_RunActiveContent.js file.

  • How can I set a default zoom for the browser (freeze)?

Hello, there is a possibility of using the CTRL ++ to enlarge the Web page, but he returned to the default zoom of Firefox in the middle which is very annoying. In general, I would like to be able to establish a certain level of default zoom and then only if necessary, use the CTRL + / zoom in and out of options. If my optimum zoom level is used for all my browsing unless I change it.

I listed 2 modules below for you to consider. I did not use of NoSquint, but I use and rely on Default FullZoom Level.

"You can also set a 'Minimum font size' in the Firefox Options > content > fonts & colours advanced."

  • Netflix streaming constantly freezes and expires

I bought 2 blu - ray player Sony bdp-s185 about 8 months, for the primary purpose of streaming netflix on my TV.  I wanted to replace my XBox as the primary instrument of streaming.  They worked fine until a month ago.  Now, I can't watch anything on them without constant freezing and waiting times.  After restarting the stream several times, if I'm lucky I can get it to actually play something, but it will not sink anything in HD.  I can't speed of streaming more of 0.3 MB/s on devices.

It is not a problem with my internet connection or netflix.  I have a connection strong 25mbps and have already called my cable company to see if there are problems with the connection.  I can get a stream flawlessly on my computer while at the same time these devices struggle capable of playing anything.  I bought only these actors for netflix, and I'm not interested to watch blu - ray or anything else, so, now, that these devices are useless for me.

Thank you for we do know all this, raven4267!

  • Any Web browser, freezes Windows 7 x 64-Instant

Hi, I have a problem with only Windows 7 x 64. When I open any application, such as Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera or Netscape even, the rest of the computer is not responding, except the web browser that is currently open. It's very weird, as it happens when I open Windows Mail. I first thought that Internet Explorer has been the cause, so I installed Opera. Once I open it, the start menu button does not work, I can not access any application in the taskbar, nothing seems to be responding, except the web browser, which is running. Basically, if I want to go on the Internet, I can use the web browser until I close it, I can't use anything else. This isn't the Add-ons in Internet Explorer, because, as said, FireFox & Opera House is also. Even if just open the application, it immediately stops the computer. Anyone know why this is happening? I used Google & it seems that a lot of people know this... I even formatted my PC, the problem is to reproduce... After a certain time. It must be an application, but I can't seem to find out what... Oh, it happens also in safe mode, if I open a browser (not connected to internet). Any ideas?

  • Freezing of Safari 10

    Hello, guys.

After I upgraded my MacBook on MacOS Sierra (and Safari update to version 10) my Safari browser freezes constantly. Wheel of the Rainbow are spinning and freeze all in the browser at the same time.

    What I tried to do:

    • I deleted all the history menu.
    • I deleted the cache file cache.db ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.safari
    • I removed and deactivated all my plugins/extensions
    • Check my computer on the virus with the Kasperskiy antivirus
    • Of course restarted my laptop

This is problem occurs regularly, it's can work well for two hours and one hour gel.

Please help because I like the Safari and won't leave for other browsers.

    Thank you.

    • Check my computer on the virus with the Kasperskiy antivirus

The problem there. Anti virus software on a Mac is unnecessary. Your Mac has the integrity of pre-installed system Protection.   On the Protection of the integrity of system on your Mac.

Visit the Web of Kaspersky site and look for the instructions to uninstall.

Then see if Safari freezes or invites the rotation range ball after a / v software is uninstalled.

There is no need of anti-virus on a Mac software.

  • My browser again adobe has crashed. The errors became more frequent now.

My browser freezes then I get the error message about adobe crashing. This happened a few months now. I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and adobe several times. I tried to make a new profile for firefox too, but nothing has helped. Last week I was also making errors on the shockwave plugin to crash. I tried removing the malware, removal of the antivirus, but it is all coming back clean. I don't know what to do anymore.

  • Browser and Screen Lock-up

After the latest OS enhancements I have intermittent problems, but frequently with links that don't open, browser freezes, slowness and inability to move the screen elements similar to many other reports currently on this forum.  These have an impact on our iPhones and iPads but now also our iMacs.  When you try to open a link on the iMac browsers (Safari, Firefox, and less frequently Chrome) freeze and the "beachball" is displayed.  Sometimes it ends by disappears, but the application still does not work. To cancel or escape attempts fail, in some cases requiring force quit to exit the application.  Photo sharing/download my iPhone to iCloud is also now does not work.  These problems have a serious impact on my productivity of the company and I look forward to each release of terror!  I have just hours to devote to the forums and find solutions to these types of problems.  Apple - please get this corrected and do a better job of checking the updates before they released!

This is a common problem and there is currently no permanent solution.

Try turning off JavaScript under settings - Safari - Advanced.

Keep patience, I think soon Apple will figure things out.

    Hi @rsteelshoes44

Welcome to the HP support community! I saw your post about the problem with the browser freeze. I'll be happy to help you with this. Have you tried another browser to see if the same thing happens?

Try to roll back the driver for wireless network card in your device manager. You can do this by right clicking on your card under network adapters wireless network. Then select Properties, then go to the driver tab then go back to the previous version. It is to determine who is a bad driver update.

  • My computer crashes without warning. No virus found Yahoo mail freezes

Seems to be worse in yahoo... Workes more with firefox is still slow in firefox and finally freezes uo. Reset is the only thing to do

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    2. do you get any error code or error message?

3 are you facing the browser freeze only during navigation through Yahoo mail?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Start in safe mode with network and check if you are faced with the same question. If the same problem persists it then put the computer in a clean boot state, and check which program is causing this problem.

Note: once you have completed troubleshooting, try the procedure described in step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Method 2:

Try the steps in the following Microsoft article and check if it works.

Optimize Windows 7 for better performance:
