BSOD has known during Windows 7 SP1 install

Hello again,

I recently posted here (LINK) about a number of problems I had with my PC that I assumed were resolved when I discovered my previous hard drive would die quickly, resulting in corrupted, system files etc.

First of all, a chronology of the mistakes that I started to experience this month: Please see my previous thread (link) for detailed information about the errors here.

30 April - installed the second module of 4 GB memory (Corsair 4 GB DDR3 1333 mhz XMS3, manufacturer: CMX4GX3M1A1333C9)

02 may - crash first experienced, uncertain, conditions, as I was AFK.

08 may - new SATA cable bought as I suspected one that connects my hdisk to my motherboard caused the original crash.

16 may - first BSOD, it is product in the game.

Initially, I suspected my module RAM second, newest to be initially, but after a lot of help and advice (see link), I discovered that my hard drive was not.

Note on RAM: both modules are identical and installed in their recommended media. In the BIOS/DRAM config, they are on Unganged.

20 may - after buying a new hard drive and install Windows on it I was installing updates (SP1 was among them) when my PC struck a blue screen; I checked using WhoCrashed dump files: ntoskrnl.exe and ntkrnlmp.exe seem to be the culprits - Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0xFFFFFA800488D690, 41790, 0 x 0 x 0, 0xFFFF)

After the reboot, the update done OK.

I used the sfc/scannow command found no breach of integrity.

The next day, I ran Memtest86, making several past - 2 on my old module, 2 on the module of suspects and two with two modules in their default positions (DDR3_1 and DDR3_2). All the tests showed 0 errors.

I realize that in Memtest past terms 7 or 8 can produce errors where 2 can present a sound module...

All drivers are up-to-date, or I more not less successful them anything.

Today (May 22) my PC suddenly lost power and restarted, and the event was almost like a brown-out as it also caused my landline downstairs to turn. It's happened once or twice in about 3 years, and I have no idea what causes it.

When the PC was trying to start it would not go beyond POST and gave me the following message is displayed:

Verifying DMI Pool Data...
AMD data change... Update new data on a DMI interface!

I had noticed this message several times when I was performing a clean installation of Windows (2 days ago), however, it wasn't a problem then. In fact, I remember a startup sequence where new data on a DMI interface update was followed by 'success'

Then more waiting, a lot of the HD activity.

Boot from CD/DVD
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

As a result, I put off the system and replaced the SATA cable (which I think is maybe defective), the computer started and entered correctly in Windows. No error logs or dump didn't report files, critical just an error in Event Viewer (Kernel-Power, event ID 41, task category 63).

I ran sfc/scannow and it came back with the "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them."

System then invited to restart and it auto-couru chkdsk, a copy of the journal of wininit is attached, please see below.

I ran sfc/scannow, once again, Windows Resource Protection not found any breach of integrity this time.

At this point, I'm quite confused. I have no idea what causes these errors and cannot replicate force. I am sure that it is the RAM, but it was also suggested to me that the error is the CPU, the PSU or the same level of BIOS.

  • Update to Windows 7 SP1 installed, but not in installed updates or system

Recently, I installed Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate on my pc and then with the update. All the updates successfully without error. Win7 SP1 update was also without errors. It shows in the history of the update, but not in the installed updates or computer properties. IE11 and Visual Studio will not install because they need SP1. I can't uninstall the update to try again because he's not here but windows update does not offer it (also tried the variant of the command prompt to uninstall does not work). I tried to reinstall the whole system, and it ends up the same thing again. Someone knows how to fix this problem or at least Visual Studio works without SP1?

  • Visioneer OneTouch 8700 USB Scanner Driver for Windows XP SP1 installed SP 2 compatibility mode - does not

My machine is upgraded from XP SP2 to Windows 7. Support was interrupted by the manufacturer scanner after the pilot XP SP1.   Update of Windows in my system is always sur-installe updates automatically.   The scanner driver has been downloaded from the MFRS. ' site and installed in my computer Windows 7 in "compatibility mode for XP SP2. The scanner icon in my system tray.   To make a physical connection to my system, I get error that it can not be connected or cannot be configured.   I have two USB ports of work attached to the Mo (Chinese-"Weibu") and two USB PCI card is compatible with XP and earlier versions (as shown on the box, no mention of Windows 7).   I tried all these ports, always the scanner does not connect to my system.   In addition, my device manager under USB controllers, shows the exclamation marks in yellow triangles against two elements of the same name: "VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller.   I uninstalled these 2 elements and restarted my system several times, without success.   At each reboot, the yellow marks disappear but soon reappear.  But the scanner worked perfectly fine in my old XP SP 2 system before moving on to Windows 7 and before installing the USB PCI card.

Is there a solution to this problem up the old USB devices and running in the Windows 7 environment?   (I have a very old IBM PC Camera too that works well in my old XP system, but not yet tried in the current system, even if the driver has been installed).

If finally I am not able to use the scanner under Windows 7, I reluctantly get Windows XP reinstalled on another drive and boot into it just to be able to use the scanner which is functioning perfectly.

I am a person of 78 years and enjoy using and experimenting with my PC, which has become an addiction for me.

    Thank you.

You can buy a copy of XP that would probably cost more to replace the scanner and now is not the right time to install XP anyway.

Your webcam is a lost cause. Compatibility mode has been designed to work for older programs, and Microsoft does not recommend to use it to install the device drivers. I have no idea why some here suggest a possibility...

  • Windows Update SP1 installed more than 10 times however, it continues to appear in "WINDOWS UPDATE" and impossible to install the SP2 or upgrade to Internet Explorer 9...

I tried continually to upgrade Internet Explorer 8 for Internet Explorer 9 without success. When I do so it stops the installation and sent me to the site of installation of SP1. My system is Vista Home Premium, 32-bit, so I try to install this download required and received a message (I'm under frustrated memory) "not for your system" - something like that... The SP1 update is not successfully installed, I cannot update IE8 and do not have the slightest idea what to do...

Why has not been installed SP2 years?

  • Clean Windows 7 sp1 install Windows Update, error

Two different computers. Clean install Windows 7 with SP1, 32-bit.

Run Windows update and set to be installed other Microsoft products.

Always get "an error occurred the news updates for your computer"

    8007000E error code.

Memory insufficient because no other applications are running and no virus programs not installed. Without Language Pack installed by some of the information I found on this code. Clean install.

The two I'm working on computers are Dell computers. Both we get same error. Very frustrating because I need to raise these two systems up and running.

Cannot resolve this problem or find a working solution to the problem.

  • Now windows vista SP1 installed, still restarts after hibernation

Right after the installation of SP1 on windows Vista, the computer restarts after hibernation/locking laptop computer

    Hi Jason & florencedefermartel,.

You can check the manufacturer's website and try to update the Chipset and drivers display and check.

You can see the manual of the system manufacturer or contact the system manufacturer for more information on how to make the changes in the BIOS.

Note: Change to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • Computer won't wake up from sleep with Windows 7 sp1 installed

I have a problem very persistent and annoying.

My office don't always sleep wake. When you wake the computer, fans turn and everything becomes energized, but the screen stays off. The only option at this point is to press on and hold the power button or turn the power off. Windows does not start, run and shutdown normally, but it fails every time trying to wake up from its sleep. The problem started after I installed Windows 7 service pack 1 and disappears if the service pack is uninstalled.

I have a motherboard EVGA FTW3 with a Crucial C300 SSD as my main drive. I thought I had found a solution with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2495523 but it didn't work. My bios is up to date, the firmware is up to date on my SSD and my the Marvell controller firmware is current. I tried to plug my SSD in the Intel SATA ports (and disable the controller Marvell making) but it did not help. I went through every setting imaginable, with the support of EVGA, tried to turn off "Allow hybrid sleep" in the power of the BIOS settings. The only change I found that 'fixed' the problem is uninstall Windows 7 service pack 1.

    My computer specs:

    Card mother EVGA FTW3

    Processor Core i7 980 x

    Memory Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 (3 X 4 GB)

    EVGA GTX 580 graphics

Crucial C300 SATA 6.0 Gps SSD

Western Digital 1 TB SATA 6.0 Gps data drive

    NVIDIA 3d Vision Kit

I use the latest drivers for all devices because I clean just installed Windows 4 days to try to resolve the situation.

Beta EVGA Bios recovery mode fixed 80 S3 sleep for me also. Everything seems to work perfectly after that I did the bios flash.

This isn't a final reading.  I would like to run it again.  If this is not a fall in the first pass of 6-7 is not bad.  If so, it could be either ram or the motherboard.
