Apex 4.2 newbie: dynamic action, PLSQL expression &; bind variable
Hello
I'm in the Action page dynamic editing > settings-> Expression PLSQL.
A test, I want to do a textfield equal to the value of another field. All of the remaining work, I need to do on my form is based on this capability, for example, if I can filter the content of my shuttle with a textfield. But for now, nice and simple: a textfield equal to another.
The problem is that my link variable appears to return a null value when it's non-zero.
Thus, for example, field entering the PLSQL Expression NVL(:P1_PAGE_ITEM_TEXT,'No') returns always 'no' to a textfield in the page. However, P1_PAGE_ITEM_TEXT is not null - I put a refresh on shot down and I am happily adding text... but the textfield shows simply "no".
Googling, I see other people had similar problems a few years back and resorted to JS instead of PLSQL. But I think it's more likely that I'm doing it wrong that it's a bug! (Dynamic - Action Alert view the value in the field
I would be grateful if someone could confirm that it is possible to do what I want to do - and how!
Thank you

Published by: 995005 on March 21, 2013 05:47Construction IN is always a nasty...
because you get: where id in "a, b, c" (where a, b, c is the value of P1_PAGEITEM)
and you should get: where id in ('a', 'b', 'c')
There is no easy solution for this. If you must certainly construction IN you "convert" the value of P1_PAGEITEM to a table (with a function in pipeline and apex_util.string_to_table). Just Google for a solution.Try to make it work with a single value first (before that you increase the complexity)
And the definition of LOV should be: SELECT description, Àtable FROM returnvalue to display the description.

Bug report - copy dynamic action to another page
Hello
In the wizard to copy a DA to another page, in my case, I have the type of selection "jQuery Selector", and the value of the attribute "jQuery Selector" does not get pre-remplis.
Is - is this expected or just something missing in the wizard?
I think I saw so, regardless of the type of selection.
See you soon,.
ScottHi Scott,.
I don't think that it is a bug by itself, even though I agree that this should be improved. We hope to improve the process of copying the dynamic Actions (as requested in the application Feature Requests) in a future version of the APEX, and we already have an enhancement request registered to do so, in which I've now also added a note and a link to this topic.
Thanks for putting in place.
Kind regards

BUG? Presentation of elements via Dynamic Action in Internet Explorer generates "null."
I first noticed this using the newly improved apex.oracle.com. When I have dynamic action that must send the values of page element and the value is null / empty, the call to post/ajax result includes the literal 'null' as the value for this parameter.
for example
p_flow_id = 65928 & p_flow_step_id = 2110 p_instance = 574862348021401 & p_request = FLOW_PPR_OUTPUT_R1858426911545391_reset_R_1858426911545391 & p_arg_names = P2110_VENDOR1 & p_arg_names = P2110_VENDOR2 & p_arg_values = 3754 & p_arg_values = null
This only happens in Internet Explorer. I use IE9, but it seems to work that way, if I put it in IE8 mode as well.
I returned and tested in the Apex 4.1.1.00.23 and I got the same result.
GregHi Greg,.
Thanks again for the follow-up. You are right, it is the "Set Value" operation that causes the problem when it is called with a null value. In fact, it's a bug of IE underlaying.
See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5387038/null-values-shown-in-form-fields-in-ie and also http://bugs.jquery.com/ticket/5163 strengthening jQuery
I will file a bug to use jQuery.val () workarounds to the problem.
Thank you

Bug: Dynamic Action on column in a table does not fire after sort column
I have reproduced this problem on apex.oracle.com.
Use [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=22057:1]
user/pw: apextester
I created a dynamic action on a tabular presentation, using a jQuery selector, to check if the misspelled word is null, display an alert and set the focus through this switch. The first time on the page, I can erase a misspelled word value and this dynamic action is triggered. I see the alert. (Focus action seems not to happen, but that is a minor issue.)
I can put the value in their place, select the columns to sort, empty a value of misspelled word again, and this dynamic action does NOT occur. (FYI, there is another dynamic action in this app, save before exit, click OK to ignore the changes.)
I can also access the page, make no changes, sort by header column first, then a misspelled word value virgins and this dynamic action does NOT occur.
I added the "headers" for the report model, td tag attribute to use in the selector. This erroneous behavior is the same, I use #COLUMN_HEADER # #COLUMN_HEADER_NAME or #.
Thank you

Dynamic action - SQL - not returning the result as expected
Hello
I have a dynamic Action that runs some SQL codes and must return a string to a text box...
the sql code that the action runs when a button is reached is:
Select REPLACE ("|: P292_QPRODUCTS |) '''', ':', ' ' || : P292_QAOPRODUCTS | ""ProductsID"(="') from DUAL "
P292_QAOPRODUCTS = DATABASE: JAVA
P292_QAOPRODUCTS = AND (user can also choose OR)
In the command SQL is what I see:
"DATABASE" AND "ProductsID" = "JAVA".
In the text box apex that action must set the value of the use of SQL I see only:

any ideas?

Hello
Could you share the 'Settings' and 'Affected Elements' sections of the property page of DA?
You can also try a PLSQL and Code PL/SQL type as:
Start
Select REPLACE ("|: P292_QPRODUCTS |) '''', ':', ' ' || : P292_QAOPRODUCTS | ""ProductsID"(="') "
in: DOUBLE P292_TEXT_BOX;

Don't forget to fill in the field "Page elements to return" with the name of P292_TEXT_BOX.

APEX 5: Dynamic Action do not run on DEMAND Condition = VALUE
After migration from APEX to APEX 5 dynamic action 4.2.5 which performed in 4.2.5 won't work in 5 APEX.
Event DA: BEFORE the PAGE is SENT
Condition: Ask = value
Value: SAVE
Page contains the button SAVE, in the debug REQUEST window appears like SAVE, but DA does not occur.
When the condition is not defined, DA works correctly in the APEX 5.
Is this a bug in 5 APEX?
Hey Bozo,
Bozo says:
How to have this in mind, can be made to run before Page submit DA specified button click?
It depends on what you want to achieve a click of button and what you want to achieve with DA.
The purpose of the button and DA can be combined in a javascript function or in the DA himself.
How this can be achieved in the DA itself is:
- Instead of shooting the DA "before submit Page', fire the DA to the click event of button. (to do this change the button action to listen for events from DA)
- In the first real action, run everything you want to achieve with DA.
- Write another real action, to submit the page and set the application to any value you want. (ensure that the processes we submit are conditional on the overall application, instead of the State of the button)
Kind regards

Dynamic action calling JavaScript with parameters
I have a DA who called some JavaScript to Hide/Show/cancel 2 P110_PARENT_SOLUTION_ID text elements, P110_ANSWER_TEXT be part of radio P110_DIRECTORY_TYPE.
DA > settings > Code:
If ($v ("P110_DIRECTORY_TYPE") == 'R') {}
$("label[for=P110_HEADER_TEXT]").text ("name of the root directory")
$x_Hide ('P110_PARENT_SOLUTION_ID');
$x_Value('P110_PARENT_SOLUTION_ID',"");
$x_Hide ('P110_ANSWER_TEXT');
} ElseIf ($v ("P110_DIRECTORY_TYPE") == 'E') {}
$("label[for=P110_HEADER_TEXT]").text ("header text")
$x_Show ('P110_PARENT_SOLUTION_ID');
$x_Show ('P110_ANSWER_TEXT');
} ElseIf ($v ("P110_DIRECTORY_TYPE") ==' no) {}
$("label[for=P110_HEADER_TEXT]").text ("directory name")
$x_Show ('P110_PARENT_SOLUTION_ID');
$x_Hide ('P110_ANSWER_TEXT');
$x_Value('P110_ANSWER_TEXT',"");
}
This works perfectly, however I need to reproduce this code for 2 more areas on the same page. To do this, I created a JavaScript function with 3 parameters and call it in the dynamic action
Page header > Javascript > function and Global Variable declaration:
function ProcessDirType
(I_DirectoryType
I_ParentSolutionId
I_AnswerText
)
{
If ($v (I_DirectoryType) == 'R') {}
$("label[for=P110_HEADER_TEXT]").text ("name of the root directory")
$x_Hide (I_ParentSolutionId);
$x_Value(I_ParentSolutionId,"");
$x_Hide (I_AnswerText);
} ElseIf ($v (I_DirectoryType) == 'E') {}
$("label[for=P110_HEADER_TEXT]").text ("header text")
$x_Show (I_ParentSolutionId);
$x_Show (I_AnswerText);
} ElseIf ($v (I_DirectoryType) ==' no) {}
$("label[for=P110_HEADER_TEXT]").text ("directory name")
$x_Show (I_ParentSolutionId);
$x_Hide (I_AnswerText);
$x_Value(I_AnswerText,"");
}
}
DA > settings > Code:
ProcessDirType
("P110_DIRECTORY_TYPE"
, "P110_PARENT_SOLUTION_ID".
, "P110_ANSWER_TEXT".
);
Her DA stopped working correctly, I tried to replace the parameters with single quotes but not joy.
Can someone give me the correct syntax so that I can make my code more generic and call in three different DA?
Concerning
ADE
I didn't think there would be syntax errors, everything looks good from here. Single or double quotes can be used.
Maybe it's something to do with the way in which the dynamic action is called. Is what event listening? Nothing has been changed in order to manage several regions?
You can add this sort of thing to your javascript to help determine what is invoked and view the output in the javascript console.
console.log('I_DirectoryType:'+I_DirectoryType);

Confirm the dynamic action does not not as expected in the APEX 4.2.5
This looks like a bug in APEX 4.2.5. I have a page with a "Cancel" button that redirects to another page. There is a dynamic action that fires on the button with a confirmation action and the text ' are you sure? However, if the user selects OK or cancel in the confirmation dialog box makes no difference - the redirect is always performed.
I found this question after the migration of a page that worked to 4.1.1-to-4.2.5.00.88 APEX and were also able to replicate on apex.oracle.com here:
https://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=19896:2
(Press the Cancel button in the top right of the page redirects to page 1, regardless of the user's response to confirm the popup.)
I don't need someone to suggest the alternative code, I know how to build my own confirmation processing. I want to just raise this as a bug as possible and see if there is a solution to make the dynamic action works as it should.
NB I found this in the patch notes for 4.2.5.00.88 on a fix for a similar problem:
15984978
Dynamic action front-Submit with a confirmation message does not
Hi Tony,.
I think the problem is that the action of the button is defined as 'Redirect page in this Application', but it must always be "defined by the dynamic Action" as soon as you have set dynamic actions 'click' to a button. Normally, which is automatically changed as soon as you create your first dynamic action of a button, and I just confirmed by creating a test button in your application that has been defined as «Redirect...» ». After that I created a dynamic action the action of the button is set to "defined by the dynamic Action.
Is it possible that you have modified the action of the back button to «Reorient...» » ? The question why «redirect...» "does not work, it's that we cannot guarantee in what order the browser will process click on events defined with onclick in the tag button itself and those events attached as a click event handlers. This is why it is necessary that everything is defined as dynamic actions. Only in this case you will be able to cancel the treatment.

Hi everyone, I posted this question in the past and made huge strides with the help of Denes Kubicek: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=31517:294:115851992029365: based on my previous question posted: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2537494
I'm fighting with a single element in my tabular presentation. There is a radio button. The choices all seem correctly, but the value is not saved in the collection (and therefore not recorded in the table). All the other elements in the form of tables to record properly.
Here's what I have for the query. This is element c024 (which maps to;) ("F03'), which is defined as a radio based on an existing LOV LOV.
Currently I have:
2 items on the page:
P110_ID
P110_VALUE
Dynamic action called COLUMN of CHANGE:

scope of the event: Dynamics
real action #1: set the P110_ID javascript expression this.triggeringElement.id
real action #2: set the P110_VALUE javascript expression this.triggeringElement.value
action 3: run pl/sql code

refreshment area true creation #4: LANDINGS_COLLECTION
the tabular presentation is based on the query:
SELECT apex_item.text(1,seq_id,'','','id="f01_'||seq_id,'','') "DeleteRow", seq_id, seq_id display_seq_id, apex_item.text_from_LOV(c004,'SPECIES')||'-'||apex_item.text_from_LOV(c005,'GRADE')||'-'||apex_item.text_from_LOV(c006,'MARKETCODE')||'-'||apex_item.text_from_LOV_query(c007,'select unit_of_measure d, unit_of_measure r from species_qc') unit, apex_item.select_list_from_LOV(8,c008,'DISPOSITIONS','onchange="getAllDisposition('||seq_id||')"','YES','0',' -- Select Favorite -- ','f08_'||seq_id,'') Disposition, apex_item.select_list_from_LOV(9,c009,'GEARS','style="background-color:#FBEC5D; "onFocus="checkGearPreviousFocus('||seq_id||');"onchange="getAllGears('||seq_id||')"','YES','3333','-- Select Favorite --','f09_'||seq_id,'') Gear, apex_item.text(10,TO_NUMBER(c010),5,null, 'onchange="setTotal('||seq_id||')"','f10_'||seq_id,'') Quantity, apex_item.text(11,TO_NUMBER(c011),5,null,'onchange="getPriceBoundaries('||seq_id||')"','f11_'||seq_id,'') Price, apex_item.text(12, TO_NUMBER(c012),5,null, 'onchange="changePrice ('||seq_id||')" onKeyDown="selectDollarsFocus('||seq_id||',event);"','f12_'||seq_id,'') Dollars, decode(c013,'Y',apex_item.text(14, c014,30,null,'style="background-color:#FBEC5D;" onClick="onFocusAreaFished('||seq_id||');"','f14_'||seq_id,''),'N','N/A') Area_Fished, decode(c017,'Y',apex_item.text(18, c018,4,null,'style="background-color:#FBEC5D; "onBlur="setUnitQuantity('||seq_id||')"','f18_'||seq_id,''),'N','N/A') UNIT_QUANTITY, decode(c017,'Y',apex_item.text(19,'CN',3,null,'readOnly=readOnly;','f19_'||seq_id,''),'N','N/A') UNIT_COUNT, c024 hms_flag, decode(c050,'Y',apex_item.checkbox(21,'Y','id="f21_'||seq_id||'" style="background-color:#FBEC5D; " onClick="alterYes('||seq_id||');" onKeyPress="alterYes('||seq_id||');"',c021),'N','N/A') FinsAttached, decode(c050,'Y',apex_item.checkbox(22,'N','id="f22_'||seq_id||'" style="background-color:#FBEC5D;" onClick="alterNo('||seq_id||');" onKeyPress="alterNo('||seq_id||');"',c022),'N','N/A') FinsNotAttached, decode(c050,'Y',apex_item.checkbox(23,'U','id="f23_'||seq_id||'" style="background-color:#FBEC5D;" onClick="alterUnk('||seq_id||');" onKeyPress="alterUnk('||seq_id||');"',c023),'N','N/A') FinsUnknown, decode(c050,'Y',apex_item.textarea(28,c028,3,null,null,'f28_'||seq_id,''),'N','N/A') Explanation, decode(c024,'N',apex_item.select_list_from_LOV(29,c029,'HMSNATURE','onchange="saveNature('||seq_id||')"','YES','A','-- Select Nature of Sale --','f29_'||seq_id,''),'U',apex_item.select_list_from_LOV(29,c029,'HMSNATURE','onchange="saveNature('||seq_id||')"','YES','A','-- Select Nature of Sale --','f29_'||seq_id,''),'Y','N/A') Nature_Of_Sale, decode(c020,'Y', apex_item.select_list_from_LOV(40,c040,'HMS_AREA_CODE','style="background-color:#FBEC5D;"',null,null,null,'f40_'||seq_id,''), 'N','N/A') HMS_AREA_CODE, c020,c050, decode(c020,'Y', apex_item.text(41,TO_NUMBER(c041),5,null,null,'f41_'||seq_id,''), 'N','N/A') Sale_Price from apex_collections where collection_name = 'SPECIES_COLLECTION' order by seq_id
I noticed the following:
When I change the column C011 (price) the following values are defined in dynamic action:
P110_ID = f11_1
P110_VALUE is everything that I change the price.
When I change the column C024 (hms_flag), the following values are defined:
P110_ID = f03_0001
P110_VALUE = change everything what I hms_flag to.
the region is updated in my dynamic action, and change of hms_flag does not take. I tested the SQL query that generates the value of v_SEQ in the dynamic action. Both a change of price and HMS_FLAG, it seems valid
Select ltrim (substr(:p110_ID,5,4),'0 ') in the double v_seq;
If f11_1, v_seq: = 1
If f03_0001, v_seq: = 1
Thank you!
solved. sort of.
domain c024 references f03.
dynamic ACtion, step 4 calculated v_member as a substring of P110_ID... and in all other areas, the column and the field (fxx) displayed the same value... otherwise c024.
I'm not exactly sure how solve it, but see the problem.

IE10: Dynamic Action failed when using Rich Text Editor (FCKeditor) article on page
Hi all

I get the following error when debugging scriptSCRIPT5007: Unable to get property '1' of undefined or null reference
As much as we use the text editor (FCKeditor), this FCKeditor_IsCompatibleBrowser() function call browser. In the case of IE10, the error above is due to the following line in this function
var sBrowserVersion = navigator.appVersion.match(/MSIE (.\..)/)[1] ;
I want to use 'Rich text editor' on my page, I don't want to change like "text box." I saw some difficulty for this line in the function (the function is in the path "... / i/fck/fckeditor.js"), I can change this line in the function? Is there another way to fix this error?
Please help me...

How to create dynamic action of the link column in the classic report
I have an apex page to display a modal window using jquery. In the modal window, I have a classic report with a column of link I want to capture its click event.
I thought I could create a dynamic action with selection of type = jquery selector. Not sure if I need to do anything on the link column and do not know the syntax
jquery selector. Would appreciate help or direction?Always zip code using .
...\
tags as described in the FAQ.
I created a region of report with the following query:
Select empno, ename, 'SELECT' from emp where (ename like '%'||ltrim(rtrim(:P2_SEARCHPU))||'%' or :P2_SEARCHPU is null)
There is no alias specified for the "SELECT" column, Oracle uses so the content of the column as a default alias. It comes
'SELECT'
Instead of
SELECT
The necessary jQuery selector would be:
td[headers="\'SELECT\'"] a
However the need to release the single quote everywhere is a ticking time bug. SELECT an Oracle reserved word means use it as any type of identifier is either too smart.
You should always use a valid Oracle identifier as an alias explicit when a column contains a literal value or a complex expression:
select empno , ename , 'SELECT' link_text from emp where ( ename like '%'||ltrim(rtrim(:P2_SEARCHPU))||'%' or :P2_SEARCHPU is null)
APEX will use the column alias LINK_TEXT as the ID attribute of the column header and the cells in the column will reference it in their headersattributes. The jQuery selector is:
td[headers="LINK_TEXT"] a

Dynamic action, not shooting after having sailed on the next page of report
I have a report and I want to show some additional details about a record when the mouse over a specific area.
It works but only on the first page of the report to. After accessing the second report page dynamic action does not occur.
After a page réactualisiez on the dynamic action fires.
Here is an example on apex.oracle.com.
https://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=28683:25
When you hover the mouse over the image a 'test' alert (i) is displayed. Go to page 2 of the report, and nothing happens.
What I did:
Create a public page with a classic report with the request:
Create a dynamic action.select "CUSTOMER_ID", "CUST_FIRST_NAME", "CUST_LAST_NAME", '<img class="abstract" src="/i/menu/blue_info_16x16.gif"/>' as "ID" from #OWNER#.DEMO_CUSTOMERS
Sign up for the mouse
jQuery selector: .abstract
Action: alert ('Test')

I submitted the bug #13880667 for that matter, where the corresponding event is not triggered with success where SORTING does not return any data. I'm afraid, I have currently no elegant way around that.

Dynamic action on the DOM object does not
Through dynamic action, I will execute PL/SQL Code that creates a point using additional APEX_ITEM. CHECKBOX (see the code on the bottom). Through another dynamic action, I am trying to run additional Java. I put it in the fire like this:
Event: click on
Type: DOM object
The DOM object: return [0] .f11 (this corresponds to the value of fxx APEX_ITEM.checkbox)
Just try an alert ("hi") simple. does not work. Am I missing something?
