Indicator of red bar in Windows Vista

Hi, I love the indicator Bar Blue/Red Bar in Vista to HARD drive, how about removable? I was wondering how to get the removable drives such as Flash players to show a blue/red indicator. Is this possible?

    Hello redfalcon67,

To resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem, then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

To determine which files can be repaired by the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
findstr/c: "[SR] cannot repair the military file" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > sfcdetails.txt

Note The Sfcdetails.txt file contains details of every time that the System File Checker tool has been run on the computer. The file contains information about the files that are not repaired by the System File Checker tool. Check the date and time entries to determine the problem files that were found last time that you ran the System File Checker tool.

    3. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      Edit sfcdetails.txt

The Sfcdetails.txt file uses the following format:

      The date/time SFC detail

The following example of log file contains an entry for a file that could not be repaired:

2007-01-12 12:10:42, info CSI 00000008 [SR] cannot repair the military record [l:34 {17}] "Accessibility.dll" of accessibility, Version 6.0.6000.16386, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_MSIL = (8), VersionScope neutral, neutral culture, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:b03f5f7f11d50a3a}, type neutral, TypeName neutral, neutral public key in the store, file is missing "

If the System File Checker tool cannot repair a file, follow these steps:

    1. At a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

      takeown /f Path_And_File_Name

For example, type takeown /f E:\windows\system32\jscript.dll.

    2. Type the following command and press ENTER to grant administrators full access to the file:
      ICACLS Path_And_File_Name/grant ADMINISTRATORS: F

For example, type icacls E:\windows\system32\jscript.dll/grant administrators: F.

    3. Type the following command to replace the file with a known good copy of the file:
      Copy Path_And_File_Name_Of_Source_File Path_And_File_Name_Of_Destination

For example, type copy E:\temp\jscript.dll E:\windows\system32\jscript.dll.

    Ainjel Hello,

This occurs generally early in the boot process. For example, the problem may occur shortly after the splash screen appears, and you will see a black screen with a moving progress bar. Specifically, this problem occurs generally when the system tries to load the i8042prt.sys driver. The problem only occurs in certain hardware configurations.

You need the installation disk so that you can try to perform a system restore which is the WinRE recovery environment and then once you are able to start, you can try to install the fix below:

    Error message when you start a Windows Vista-based computer: "STOP: 0 x 00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".

    Hi cthodges

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers Forums!

I would like to ask you a few questions to help focus in the right direction:

Are there other specific details that you can provide that will help us understand and solve your problem?

We can try a few steps and check if it works:

Run explorer.exe from the Task Manager > new > task. If the start menu reappears, it would confirm the cause.

We can now perform the following steps:

    Step 1:

Run an on-line analysis of your PC of malicious software:

If you want to scan your computer for malware and potentially unwanted on a Web site, please use the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner.

Windows Live OneCare safety scanner is an online service that lets scan you your computer to protect yourself, clean and operate at its best. Use our free protection scan to check and remove viruses, spyware and other potentially unwanted software and to find vulnerabilities in your Internet connection.

You can also run Anti-Malware on your computer. Follow the steps in this link:

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/ba80504b-61f1-4D71-960f-b561798b7b42

    Step 2:

To use a boot option, follow these steps:

    a. restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    b. Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and press ENTER.

    c. when the boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in the bottom, select the installation that you want to start and then press ENTER.

If it works fine in safe mode, infer you that all third-party programs are causing the problem.

Put the computer in a clean boot (namely if any third-party software hinders the process)

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Check with step 1 (run a clean boot):-If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

(Note: after find you the problem causing the program, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program and also don't forget to put the computer to a normal startup)

    S tep 3 :

The SFC utility allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version. Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.

You can still run a sfc on the windows vista computer scan. To run a scan suite sfc as follows:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt type sfc/scannow , and then press ENTER.

See this link for more information:

    Hope this information was useful.

Let me know if it worked.

  • Repair of window Vista - problem starting - stuck scrolling bar load

    Hello

Looking for assistance here, if anyone can help, I have a laptop LG R410, age two months running windows vista basic 32-bit.

Laptop used to start and rest the scroll bar loading.  Tried through 'F8' menu to start in "Safe Mode", but wont even boot into Safe Mode, is the last driver loaded:

    Windows system32 drivers crcdisk.sys

Also, tried "last good configuration" but nothing is.

Try to repair windows with the repair disk. but no joy once again, by looking at the details of the diagnosis and repair, it shows repair stalled when the event log diagnostic testing.  It will not accomplish this test, even after leaving during the night.

Also tried to go back to a restore point, but because it is new, it doesn't show any restore points that were to restore the system back.

No backup available or go to restore.

Memory Diagnostic test has been successful.

Ran sfc/scannow to command prompt, is back with "start scanning system.  This process will take time. "A few seconds later says"Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation. »

A ran Chkdsk C: /f so none of the bad sectors on the hard disk.  Summary says "Windows has checked the file system and found no problem."  But return the following message at the end summary "cannot transfer messages saved in the journal of the events with the 50 State."

Any help to help solve my problem would be appreciated gratefully.

    Thank you.

  • Windows Vista: windows could not start error. is suspended from the "Microsoft Corporation" loading bar then black screen BIOS not acpi compliant

After you have installed the driver for the zune hd, I was asked to restart my computer. After the reboot, start froze on a white screen. I've seen this before and it is usually because of some connected usb components. so I manually powered down the Tower, disconnected the cable from zune and restarted. This time a screen saying that windows could not start, "launch Startup Repair tool" was recommended. Select this habit makes the startup hang to the progress bar from Microsoft corporation, then to a completely white screen. Although strangely, once only a blue error screen appears which says that the BIOS is not acpi compatible. I can't restart with F8 to go into safe mode, "windows error recovery" still appears. "Start windows normally"produces the same results as the tool to restart launch system. " I have a drive to upgrade to windows 7 and a windows XP upgrade disk. the disc of windows 7 hangs at "starting windows" and the XP disc gives a blue screen error: stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0c 0000034, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000)

    Hi Michael has,

Did you the latest changes on the system?

Blue screen errors may be caused by the hardware and software issues, and it can be difficult to solve the problem sometimes. Check to see if the following is useful.

Method 1: If you have installed other programs, check if the problem occurs in safe mode. To do this, follow these steps.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

Start your computer in safe mode

    Method 2:

If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with any problem, you can perform a clean boot and check.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

  • Windows Vista. Icons and bar do not list jobs

So yes... Let me explain my problem here.

Yesterday, I created one guest and offline account to another, after that, my screen

became black and unresponsive to everything I pressed. Even after the reboot of my

    computer, the problem persists.

Now, I had turned off the guest account, through safe mode.

But in normal mode, icons, task bars have disappeared, but the background and mouse cursors

remains. I was wondering if this could have something related to the chart or something.

In addition, I am not able to go to the Task Manager, it goes black screen after I've done crt + alt + delete.

    I use windows vista x64bit

    Please guys, I need help);

    Hi XYC4,

    • You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

First check to see if the problem persists using the last known good configuration.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Method 2

If you still encounter question then start in safe mode then run demarrer start clean, check if it helps.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 3

If the previous step fails, then analyze and remove any malware or computer virus infections and check if that helps.
