    Hello

I can't find my CD/DVD drive. The driver is probably corrupted or missing (Code 39).
    What should I do?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

This problem is known to me and she related to the incorrect registry key.

First, you must remove the drive CD/DVD from the list of devices in Device Manager.
Then, you should access the registry and should remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Finally, restart the laptop and check the drive after Vista acknowledged again.

Take a look in the folder c:\windows\system32\drivers for this file (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive):

    Tcpip.sys

If the file is missing, you must replace it.

We know that XP likes to keep the backup copies of critical system files in this folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Look there for a backup copy of the file tcpip.sys and paste in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder where it belongs.

If you do not see a copy in the dllcache folder, search for a copy here:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

If you do not see here, you can download it from my SkyDrive and network disks exceeds the system afflicted on a USB or floppy drive.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called tcpip when the name of the file should really be called tcpip.sys (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

He checked out on the technical, found device code 10 failure...  All other drivers seem to have loaded...

tried to update the driver...  He said that she already had the appropriate driver. -do not

DLed the driver Broadcom to one inch and installed - no difference.  Restarted... many times during all this.

  • Portege M100 - Dvd drive IDE 1 error

I tried to replace the drive cdrw/dvd combo to a dvd rw drive, but loading it says error IDE 1, but its strange, that you cannot start out of him, but in xp you can use.

I'm sure its something to do with the Bios.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thank you

    > I tried to swap the drive cdrw/dvd combo to a dvd rw drive, loading it said error IDE 1, but its strange, that you cannot start out of him, but in xp you can use.

I think you used a CD/DVD player with bad parameters master/slave/c-salt.
If the reader doesn t compatible with the right settings, BIOS will not recognize the IDE #1 error and it will appear as in your case

You should know that not all drives are compatible. I'm not quite sure if your user manual contains the disks info picked up and compatible, but you could check it m

Otherwise, I would recommend contacting the partner of service authorized in your country for a list of compatible readers or to order a good.

  • 5205 - s503 satellite can not find the CD/DVD drive (code 41)

    Toshiba Satellite 5205-s503

I can no longer use my dvd/CD drive (Teac DW - 22 4 E) Player. The device manager says that the device is loaded but it cannot find the hardware device (Code 41)
I went out and bought an engraver of dvd/cd external usb 2.0 and again the same problem. The unit is responsible but material cannot be found.

Advice please? I've provided with my laptop startup disk. I tried a system restore with no luck.

    This might solve your problem:

Completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

I have a problem with the DVD-RAM of my laptop. I can not burn cd/DVDs, show error message is "power calibration error".

I tried to change the blank media (CD/DVD), cleaned the optical lens. S.O. Vista Home Premium

    > I can fix it myself?

Do not think that you will be able to solve this problem, because according to the error message, lens driver cannot calibrate in the right position and that's why the drive can't burn any DVD or CD.

This is a mechanical problem and to my knowledge, the drive must be replaced.
For assistance, please contact the ASP in your country. They should replace the disc with the compatible and supported a.

If the warranty is valid should be done for free.
