Built-in HP Webcam not working not

I have a HP Pavilion dv9205us laptop with a built-in webcam, manufactured by ricoh and windows vista Home premium with service pack 2.

because I do not use the webcam very often, I'm not sure when the problem started.

I first noticed the problem when you try to use Skype, who couldn't find the webcam. the webcam is not recognized either in hp quickplay. Then I checked the Device Manager and the driver was not listed.

I then went to the control panel > hardware and sound > Scanners and cameras > add a device and found the webcam listed and tried to install it from there.

the webcam has been recognized in the Device Manager, but with the error "this device cannot start (Code 10)."
I then used the health check hp to scan my computer that said the driver for the webcam was the incorrect driver and uninstalled the driver in order to repair, but did not offer to reinstall the appropriate driver. After that the driver for the webcam is not found anywhere.

so I searched on hp website and found a link to install the webcam driver sp34746 to

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-47244-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&OS=2093&product=3340198

After the download and execution of the installation wizard, the webcam was found in the Manager devices, but with the same error even after the attempt to update the driver through windows update and Device Manager.

deactivation and activation of the device don't work anymore.

Mine had the same problem lately. Finally, I found the cause. It was because of the low network connection in my room. Then I would suggest trying to find somewhere that has full WIRELESS card and restart your computer then try to open your webcam again.

I hope this will help: D

    Hello

I'm trying to use Skype and talk to some of my old friends. I've updated the driver for the built-in webcam already and both pilots of his present. I checked all volume control. Note that this problem occurs with all programs, not only Skype, I tested it with the webcam software that comes by default on the computer. For each program, I checked all the which the microphone is being used and they all use the built-in webcam microphone. I am running Windows Vista and bought this laptop, the Dell Studio 1537, in last May. I wonder if there is another driver or utility that I could try, or if it may be a more serious problem with the wiring.

  • Built in webcam not found on the computer.

Hi, back for a while that I had to have it replaced my computer screen. After that it has been replaced, my webcam not working not. He said that there is no webcam. Before that the screen had to be replaced, it works beautifully. What could be the problem and how to fix this? Thank you for your help.

    Hi Randalynf,

Please answer a few questions to refine the question.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. When you say "screen is replaced", hear you screen has replaced for a new one? What was the exact problem with the monitor?

    3. what happens when you try to access with the Webcam software that came with the computer?

This problem normally occurs when there is no problem with the driver for the Webcam device software.

I suggest you follow the steps below to see if that helps.

    Method 1:

    Step 1: Find material webcam

Take a quick moment to visually inspect the top of the screen of your computer. Look closely, you should see a small lens at the top in the Center, if your computer is equipped with a webcam. Some models do not come with a webcam and the area where the webcam would normally be resident is replaced by a small plastic cap.
Often, there are small holes near the top center of your screen. These holes are for the microphone or other sensors and do not contain any webcam.
    • If your computer lacks a built-in webcam, you must use an external USB webcam.
    • If your computer is equipped with a built-in webcam and you can't use it, go to step 2

Step 2: Find and use the Webcam software that came with your computer

Try to access the webcam that is preinstalled on your computer.

If you can't find and open the webcam for your computer software, then go to the next step.
If you have found the software of the webcam and it opens and you see a picture, then finished. Your webcam works.
If you found webcam software and it opens, but you can't see the video in the main display window, restart the computer and try again.
If the problem persists, use the troubleshooting section "video does not appear in the webcam software.
    Method 2:

If you are able to find the Webcam on your screen and you cannot view the video using the software installed, you may need to update the Webcam drivers for more later.
Read the sections "If you have problems with your webcam' in the article and check the results.»

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • S2716dg - built-in speakers do not work

I got a new S2716dg for Christmas. It took some adjustments, but now I love it (the gamma is much too high out of the box).

Just one problem, the built-in speakers don't work at all. I have correctly set the audio source and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers with no luck. I can plug the headphones on the monitor and hear the sound, but the speakers do not work.

I tried to call telephone technical support, but the tag of express service for this monitor does not work if the time-out to have my abandoned call was twice as long. Is there a way I can call directly for assistance to the Canada without having to go through the routing of calls?

See the S2716DG User Guide. The S2716DG not built in speakers.

Audio output port side is only for headphones. OSD (On Screen Display) - Audio only adjust the headphone volume.

The bottom line audio output port is for external speakers.

You must have installed a Windows 7 64-bit driver (if it exists)
for this. Do you have? Otherwise, navigate to the web site of the camera
manufacturer, search, download and install it.

  • built-in webcam not found in the Device Manager, Samsung r710 laptop, windows 7

I have a laptop Samsung R710, who settled with Windows 7. The laptop came with a built-in webcam. I was not able to get a piece of software to recognize the camera. I did a system restore. Updated the drivers. Visited the Samsung website for updates. When I opened the Device Manager to see the drivers for the webcam, webcam not found in Device Manager.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I must admit to thinking in the same direction you... buy a separate camera or wait until he is more under warranty and have a quick look at the wiring around the hinge.

    Hello

Since you said it worked very well recently, I'll try to do a system restore at this point in time.

    See this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore?SignedIn=1

In addition, see the response of the Meghmala and follow the instructions listed there. I think that the three method might be the best of the bunch for you, but they have all the right steps.
