Burn a movie with Movie Maker
I am trying to burn a movie that I made myself using Windows Movie Maker on a DVD, but whenever he progresses to 80 to 90% at the end I get the message that burns if not possible due to a disk error. I have tried many different disks.
I use Vista Home Premium and a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300. Would appreciate help.
It is possible that your project is too big or too complex... and
also, you might have problems of compatibility with one or more
of your source files.
Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:
Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
Audio - wav, wma, wmv
Have you tried the publication (save) project in the. WMV
film format in a folder on your hard disk and then import
the saved. Film WMV into DVD Maker to create the DVD?

In Windows movie maker, I made a movie of my Christmas video. Went to publish in the machine to wdvd, added all the features (title, menu, scenes, notes, etc.); very well presented in preview. The dvd is burned, but it ended without the added features (title, menu etc.). And I present more than once and still not. What could be wrong?

encoding dvd hangs during burning in windows movie maker
I got my film in preview and clicked "burn" - the dvd encoding process starts, then stops at 1.1%. No error message is given; hold the right encoding.
I downloaded the windows essentials pack 2.3d media codec that has solved a problem I had upload my video in movie maker.
I tried to disable the video filters under Tools, but it had no effect on the dvd, encoding of stall.
Ideas?
Hi Cindy luster,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forums.
How are you trying to publish the movie?
What is the format of the file you want to burn?
You try to burn all protected digital content?
Are you able to burn DVDs using the default windows DVD burner? This could happen if the format of the files you used in movie maker could be the cause of this problem. If you try to publish the film directly on the DVD, then I suggest you try to publish to the computer and then try to burn the DVD.
You can also use create DVD to burn your movie maker projects to check how it works there. To learn more about burning using DVD maker click the link below

What was bad you used a repairman? Where did you find this repairman? Some of the technical experts called there are terrible and generally useless or worse - those of the Geek Squad for example).
This repairman screwed to the top of your computer, and it should now be responsible for correct, no additional cost to you.

I can't burn DVD with movie maker window
I use windows vista, and until very recently, I had no problem with windows movie maker. But during the past year, whenever I try to burn a dvd, it burns at about 40 percent or more and then all of a sudden, it will say 'cannot complete the dvd, 'unknown error'. Are there any suggestions as to why this might be happening?
Hello whalelover,.
You can try the problems Troubleshooting Microsoft listed here for problems with burning CD/DVDs .
There is an automatic FIXIT who will scan your computer and fix problems that he sees.If this does not help, it may be a problem of encoding and you don't have the correct Codec to hole in Movie Maker.

Windows 7 - with Movie Maker. How can I burn and finalize a movie on a dvd disc?
I can not play the movie on my computer.
He saved a MP4 on my hard drive - it wont; open for Windows Media, Quicktime - or one of several other mp4 players I downloaded (and uninstall)
I chose the option "burn to disc" - thinking naively that it would actually burn something I could put on a dvd player and play.
First of all - why not? Why I have this burn to a disc if it won't; Open or play on any computer or dvd player?
Many of the forums say the option 'Choose the Mastering' and don't forget to finalize the disc.
I can find no options of Mastering Windows Movie Maker 7 - and how I finalize with no obvious way to do it?
I need this video slideshow for work - and I was home for days.
What should I do to find themselves with a video slideshow mastered on a dvd disc that will play on any dvd player...?
Thank you

Burn a DVD from Movie Maker with Windows 8.1
Are there patches of Windows 8 to allow you to burn to a DVD? I used to use this software on Windows 7 and loved all the time! If this is not the case, what is the best tour on how to use it and always burn on a DVD (if any). I don't mind get additional software. If there are several options, what software is the best to use in conjunction with Movie Maker and how to save the file first (including the extension). I do not have to learn a new program once I have mastered it this one! Thank you in advance for your help!

When you were importing files into Windows Movie Maker (WMM)...
1 have you seen to ensure it worked properly?
2. don't you import music files separately from the photos and video files?
The point being: there are only a few audio formats that are supported by Windows Movie Maker.
Supported by WMM audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wmaFile format is represented by the letters lsat 3 of the audio file.
If your audio file format is not on the list above, you need to google for a FREE audio converter and change your audio file.
The recommended formats, you must use are: mp3, wma and wav... in that order. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

I don't know whether or not we have a DVD burner on our computer. It only gives me the ability to burn on a dvd when I try to publish a movie in movie maker from microsoft. is this in any way about this? I can download something and or transfer the work I have already done to media player somehow and do it? Also is there any kind of CD that I can burn that would play the pictures and sound on the dvd player?
To burn a movie to a DVD and be able to play on a normal DVD player, you need WindowsDVD Creation.
Windows DVD creation is included in the system IF you have either
