  Hi all

  I have a C6220 server for some reason any has a different password to BMC placed on it and now no knows what it is and we cannot use our ipmi tools and other useful things because we can't access to the BMC.  Does anyone know how to reset the password or to recover?  I have a physical access and access to the OS Server so I can do everything that may be necessary.  I've been Googling for this and found nothing.  I know there's a PWRD_EN jumper on the motherboard, but I don't know if it is for the BMC password or even works this jumper.  Any help would be appreciated.

  The only way I know to change the BMC password on our cloud boxes is via command line. You can use IPMI to the local system. It should not require a user/pass to make the local IPMI commands. The command should be something like this:

  #ipmitool user set password 2 newpassword

  The default user/pass is root/root. After you have entered a password with this command, you should be able to login with root/newpassword. If your current operating system doesn't have a capacity of IPMI, then you can start a live Linux distribution to run the command.

  Someone can point out the default username / password for the management system? Also, since it's ridiculously difficult to find these passwords, anyone have a list of all? We should post to keep them in one place. My favorite is the rd450 manual says to use the help inside the TMM to find info. Pretty hard to do when you can not connect.

  With NI WSN 1.1, using a 9792, I can click on the button set the permissions, and if none had been defined would simply ask me a new administrator password.  Now with NI WSN 1.2, when I click on the button set the permissions he takes me to the web interface of the 9792 and said "nobody is connected or you don't have permissions to view/edit users, groups, and permissions.»  When I click on the "connect" button, a box opens and asks me a username and password.  I scoured the notes version of the help files and the internet, and it seems there is NO documentation on how to set up the first name of username/password combination, or it indicates what combination of username/password default username there might be.  I also tried a brand new 9792 straight out of the box and load of 1.2 to this subject and it has the same problem.  Is there something obvious that I'm missing?  How a person initially configure security on the 9792?

  When you try to access the router using default admin admin passwords I can't. Said unauthorized access.

  What im I doing wrong? I have not changed the default as ive just installed it?

  Well re installed with less haste... it turns out that during the installation of the router refers to own name and password.

  You must remove this and replace (if you want) with the so-called default... admin... Admin.

  Same thing happened to me when I enabled UPnP in May. I had no idea that I had to type the password TWICE after making this change. Nasty bug that Linksy never solved. So, I could not come back in the interface, a week or two later. He said that I had the wrong password. I was quite perplexed because I knew I had the right password. I discovered the bad news in the Linksy dslreports forum. Many users Linksy got rid of the BEFSR41 because of this bug, and I have to buy another router Linksy either. All these months I was not able access the interface of the router.

  I tried the password "admin". Did not work. I tried a number of other channels who worked for some to the dslr forum Linksy, but none worked for me. The only solution is a factory reset. I don't want to do this because I have to use the beta firmware because Linksy has so neglected in never update the official firmware for many years. I can't use Ping Plotter Pro on the official firmware because it is too old and Ping Plotter will not work using the TCP and WinPcap engine. Thus, the default factory reset, then I have to Flash the firmware of the beta again means. I had to look too... like I have a new hard drive and all got transferred.

  So, I still don't have the reset as I did have to enter the interface. But that's because as Linksy never corrected that and I had no way of knowing that I had to type the password (twice!) after you have enabled UPnP that I buy Linksy again.   Basically, you press ctrl-alt-delete twice when you get the login screen. I hope that the administrator password has not really been defined, so you can just press ok or enter.

  You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer.

  Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list and you will have to scroll down to see it.

  Which erases all settings, including the password for the printer.
