I try to install new hardware and I get this error message when I try to install the software for it. Suggestions?

Method 1.
Start everything first to remove temporary files and then check.
Here's how:
a.Click on start and then run.
transfer the text box on the run window, type %temp%, and then click OK. A folder full of files and other folders will appear.
All the folders and files that you see in this Temp folder are no longer used by Windows XP and can be deleted safely.
AA,a,AB,b,c.to delete files or individual files, press your Ctrl key while clicking on each item you want to remove. Release the Ctrl key when you are finished.
To remove these items, press your DELETE key or click on file and then delete from the menu.
d.Confirm you want to delete the files by clicking Yes in the window to confirm deleting multiple files that opens.
E.If you want to instead remove everything inside the Temp folder, choose Edit and then select all in the menu.
Note: If you are prompted that there are hidden files in this folder, simply click on OK to dismiss the message. A few hidden files hanging out in the Temp folder probably aren't significant enough to worry about.
f.Now all files and folders are selected, press your DELETE key or click on file and then delete from the menu.
g.Confirm you want to delete the files by clicking Yes in the window to confirm deleting multiple files that opens.
h.After all the files have been deleted you can close the window and empty your trash, permanently remove files from your PC.

Method 2.
Also I recommend to install the latest Windows Installer on your computer, then check.

    Select Mode safe mode with networking

    Download the following tool and run a scan complete to rule out malware

    When you are done, reboot and let windows load.

    Run the System File Checker that will search the missing or corrupt files.

    Start > type CMD

    Right click on CMD and select run as administrator

    Type sfc/scannow

    Press enter

    Note: There is a space between sfc and / scannow

    Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

    I don't think it's a virus.

    I don't know what to do, I tried restores system, right click and run as administrator, I did ensure that allows the firewall thing and completely uninstall and reinstall.

    If you know a way to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

    Delete all files in the temp folder and see if you still receive the error.

    SCR files are Windows screensavers. Them are executable files and run and are processed by Windows exactly one. EXE file.

    The only risk they represent for you is if you actually run the attachment (Thunderbird cannot do it alone)

    The location of the file is where emails are assembled in an e-mail to be sent. The same location and name is used for each mail.

    There is no point sending such things for the U.S. Government or anyone else, unless they specifically ask for it. I'm sure you've heard of made massive data capture the NSA. They probably already have your email address, but more to the point, Government and business of cyber security as symantec, kaspersky labs, eset and the folk music of more black hat is all skimming data flowing around the internet.     We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

    System specs are extremely useful then please include everything you know.

    Blue screen view and that crashed are often wrong and should only be used in case of emergency...

    Here's how:
    a. Click Start and type folder in the Run dialog box.
    b. press on enter and delete all the files in the folder.

    I have a virtual drive on my computer Setup and want to know if I'll run any problems if I move my windows TEMP directory to it?

    There are two directories TEMP. One is C:\Windows\Temp and another one isuser name\AppData\Local\Temp C:\Users\

    You can move both with no problems, but you must set the correct environment variable.

    Step 1: move the folder TEMP of your virtual drive.

    Step 2 - Click Start, right click my computer and select Properties. Select advanced system settings. You need to confirm a UAC prompt. Then click the Environment Variables button.

    Step 3 - If the displacement of the C:\Windows\Temp folder, look under system variables and look for the TEMP and TMP variables. Change their values of times the path of the Temp folder on your virtual drive.

    Step 3.B - if travel C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Temp folder go to the section user variables and find the TEMP and TMP variables.  Change their values of times the path of the Temp folder on your virtual drive.

    Step 4 - confirm the change by clicking OK.

    I only changed the user variable for my user. I tried to change their return to C:\Windows\Temp, but that did not work.

    Here's the "Apple": System Restore.

    1. Keep, pressing F8 during startup.
    2. Start the machine in Repair Mode.
    3. Use system restore to set Windows to a point before you did the damage.
    4. In the future keep the detailed notes of all the changes.

    Check the user accounts in the Control Panel-user accounts and family safety-manage accounts

    It may be that the user is called SYSTEM for some reason any. You can change the account name but the path of the user will remain the same.

    Example: change the SYSTEM to Brad, the path to the user of Brad will still be c:\users\SYSTEM

    To check if your processor is 32 bit or 64 bit

    Open the Control Panel

    Select system and security

    Select System

    In the System section it check the line System Type

    That should tell whether the operating system is 32 or 64 bits and if the processor is 32 bit or 64 bit.

    Step 1: Search for the issue in the clean boot state.

    Step 2: Also, look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.
